I went on an Espada buying spree picked up a couple well 3 fancy large versions , 3 g10 large versions and 1 xl fancy version pocket swords , don't see them being made in the future . My son collects & uses cold steel too , Plus the aluminum & smooth g10 handle versions are just Sweet !!! Can't beat the sale prices either !!! T.E.N.

Lots of people don't like serrated blades because "it must be a PIA to sharpen them. It is not.
I have those two old Vaquero Grande. They came only with serrations back in time. I was not a real fan of serrated blades back then, but I learned fast that they are useful.
I never had to sharpen this two blades, they just stayed useful sharp.
Two weeks ago I stumbled over a real cheap Lansky Turnbox, and those rods do fit perfectly into the bigger serrations of this Vaqueros. It was 5 minutes work on the serrations plus 5 sweeps on the front side of the chisel grind edge, using only the fine white rods, two to get rid of the small burr, hit the strop with green compound a few times - and the whole blade is sharper than a new one. You have to eyeball the angle, but it is no problem at all.

Looks better than on pictures. I like it. I like serrations on just part of the blade like this one. I think serrations are good for needing to saw through rope or like bread. Thanks for sharring.😎

There's a fine line, I find, with serrations.
There are very few people who do them right, Cold Steel do some of the best serrations in the business..... or should I have said 'did' do some of the best serrations?! 😳🤔

Cool knife , the original gunsite was the 1st voyager with plastic clip molded into the plastic handle I still have the 4" version , the next generation gunsite had the steel clip on the voyager I still have the 5" version of that knife. The serrations on the 5" version left a lasting mark on a finger that could have used a half dozen stitches at least. I USED MY TRYED & TRUE SUPER GLUE REPAIR ON IT , WORKS GOOD NO MATTER WHAT MY WIFE SAYS !!! TAKE CARE PEACE OUT T.E.N.

and the serrations are a plus , but the
Counter Point is a winner also and to save a few bucks and headace i would get the Counter Point ,its more available.
I used serrations on those thick plastic bands that strap cargo down. Gunsite Academy is a shooting school in Arizona. It was one of the first schools to offer weapons training to the general public.

I work in landscaping and have to cut rope and burlap off of trees when I plant them. I'm thinking of picking up a partially serrated knife because I think it would be good for cutting through those tough materials. For the average person though, I don't see much benefit in having serrations for anything other than a self defense knife.
Good uses for the serrations. That's hard work.

Not a fan of serrations. So, I'd go with the black one. But, the Gunsight sure does have that tactical look.
I personally like the look of the Gunsite counter point more than the original. Also my Spartan arrived like a week earlier than it said I would. Now I must depart Jimi, SPARTA NEEDS ME!

I like the green but a desert warrior color scheme fan. The truly ambi setup would be nice since I like to let my Dad try some of my knives but he’s a lefty so it can be a little odd sometimes.

I do like the look of the gunsite. It just might take getting used to the holes. Probably not a deal breaker but if they weren't there I might like it just a hair more.

That knife model doesn't really appeal to me, but anything with the Gunsite raven is cool by definition.
I haven't been able to use Aus-10a but my Aus-8a still performs great so I have to imagine its just a tad better than the 8a

I was never interested in the counter point series really, I prefer my old holdouts, and I'm not a fan of serrations generally....but something about this knife is very appealing.
That's kind of why I bought it. It just appealed to me.

Ok, cuz check it out, my boy just got in the mail, a cold steel Tai Pan Dagger knife, it looks to me like the steel might be something like, a tool steel, or something like that, its got a skull crusher, the blade it self, has eazyly 7 inches, it's got the Cold Steel stamp(ingraved),on one side, and Tai Pan, on the other side, the grip handle, is some kind of solid rubber, I mean it's super Nice, plus my baby boy gave it to me for x-mas, which makes it super special, I just don't know if its the real thing, I mean regardless it's a knife, I wouldn't do any forge in fire shit with it, and most definitely, I would hate to be on the receive ing end of that blade,
