that synthed kick was cool and all but the real winrar i got here was when the drive goes up... all these harmonics and frequencies seping through and modulating sounds amazing.
Loved learning these new tricks, side question - curious about the Stand that you have for your Push can you let me now the model number and where to get it ?
amazing! Great tutorial... Can you help me with the ruff settings used with the the reverb and delay to create the textured lead? the tone reminds me of 'burials' sound
Please excuse this beginner question... but how to get a sample of silence? I understand the words "consolidating silence", but don't know how it's done.
+streetsandlanes You have to record silence in Ableton. Go to a audiotrack, choose "Resampling" at "Audio From", make sure that nothing is acutally playing in your set, because "Resampling" means, it records the output from the Master. Once if you recorded the silence, you'll be able to use it as a sample. ;)
+streetsandlanes Or you could just load up any plug in that you have (including Operator) and turn it's volume down to infinity. Create a midi clip on that channel with one note (not sure if that's necessary) and right click on the whole channel to freeze it. Then flatten it and voila, you've got yourself some silence.
+jean francois ikapi go to ableton.com and login to your account. Then go to the page called "shop". You will see your upgrade options there. Bonne chance!
C4 is actually 261, not 267.. And no sound engineers don't generally memorise note to pitch frequencies, but we become very accustomed to identifying what frequency is being played and definitely remember some of the more important ones, such as middle C, concert pitch etc.
This dude says “yea” a lot! If this was a drinking game and you had to take a shot every time he says “yea” you’d be drunker then you’ve ever been in your life! Yea! Interesting tutorial though.
lol there are plenty of ways. i still won't use the 'new' filter bc they're not new. mac users lose hard and are impressed by simple tricks. 'work'shop
i thought i knew a lot about ableton but this seriously blew my mind.
+J H then you dont know a lot about it
Don't show your weak emotions in public too much man. It's embarrassing.
Thank you very much for sharing it! Needless to say that this trigger is a absolute killer move!

Thats cool! I originally didn't think much of the new filters but that has changed my mind!
damn good filter algorithms in 9.5!! all the time they are getting closer to the behaviour and sound of real analogue filters. =)
Cool trick. Thanks for the tip.

I was so so glad with 9.5. I'll be honest I think 9.5 was better than 9.

Note C3 is 131 Hz not 267 Ableton friends... Not many sound engineers here eh? ;)
Otherwise thanks for the snazzy video! Greets from Berlin
Michael Jung do all sound engineers memorize pitch frequencies? I usually just refer to a chart
