I live in the Northeast U.S. and even we are starting to get a taste of this with the Canadian wildfires blackening the skies. And near me a few controlled burns have also gotten out of control too, but thankfully they were ended!

When the fire is still actively going please don’t fly a drone anywhere near the fire. If they needed a helicopter to drop water they’d have to wave them off if a drone is spotted nearby.

@@tattooedtexasnurseabsolutely they do. They won’t fly if drones are in the air at all. Fire departments talk about it all the time.
@@tattooedtexasnursethey absolutely would call off the water rescue if there’s a drone. It’s been done many time before and causes nothing but headaches and heart ships for people.
Legally speaking in Canada you need to maintain 3000ft above/5 nautical miles away from all forrest fires. I’m sure it’s a similar law in the USA.

I had a really good view of the fire from my room on the other side of the river and field a few hundred feet away. If the fire had crossed the river I'd have been in trouble.
2 days ago I saw a car fire, it traumatized me, I cant believe what that would be like.

This might sound weird but i live in your neighborhood and I remember this day, glad it didn't get to the houses
I can tell you're OK with the extinguishment. You had the immunity from evacuation. The Maui townspeople were subject to it recently causing them to stay at the local airport for social security.🔥
This one place that I used to worked at before it was a big hotel. It had some smaller building around the area. The part of the resort caught on fire 3 weeks ago. It was so sad after seeing the place that had a fire that started in the basement. It had old timbers and old wood planks from an old barn that was there was used for some of the walls for old rustic charm it used to have before the fire. I had a lot of memories of that place before it was a resort. Even when I was working in the old bakery/sandwich shop during the summers of 1987-1990. I even did worked on the weekends during the fall,too. In one year that I worked in mid May through late October 1989. My parents came up to visit on weekends to stayed with me. I even had my cat with me,too. The resort was a 1/4 mile away from our vacation home at the time. Even my father worked there during the summers. Also my sister worked in the bakery/sandwich shop with me during the summers of 1987-1989. Sometimes we did worked together. I preferred to worked in the early mornings than the closing shift. My sister was opposite. I was so sad to see it happened. Even my sister did have some memories of that place,too.
Hopefully everyone is okay… my community here in Fargo/Moorhead is trying to recover after the Fargo Marathon director passed away two weeks ago, and just recently a police shooting loosing a 23 year old with less than 3 months on the job, killed in the line of duty
I also live in Utah, that fire is crazy! Hope everyone in the city was ok and I hope no houses were burned down.

I was on my motorcycle headed home from work. I live at that Grayhawk apartments shown in the video and I’m not going to lie, it was nerve-racking knowing people’s attention was on that fire and not on the road where someone that could be walking, bicycling, or riding there motorcycles could get injured.

We live in Wichita KS, this morning while waiting at a red light i kept seeing what i thought were little bugs flying around then one landed on my arm (my window was down) I rubbed my arm and realized it was ash! 😮 Not sure where from, but it was definitely surprising to see!

Raddy, ddy, thank you this channel, what had happen in silence sudden fire attacked this location lk alot of smoke in this location, before going out, try to checked all through location in the space largest yards, may sure is nothing had happen, injured, or others, item lost is ok. But not residents whom stays in this location but checked the important belongi, letters, id, birth certificated and others needed,. Bless with stysafe, take care and be careful where ever going out to any location, checked twice before leave. Good luck, thank you this channel new update.

This happens way to often... My dad is a firefighter so I here so many out of hand control burns mostly caused by burning on windy days...

I used to live in the west mountain neighborhood in Provo and one night in 2019 after I got out of a movie the whole side of the mountain was on fire. The roads were blocked off to my house and I had to show the police my DL to get through the road block.

My Dad and Step-Mom had a fire in their place in 2010, as I mentioned, My Dad and I had already been through one, back in 1977...so in talking about it my Step-Mom was VERY animated, more so than usual, but my Dad was like, huh, whatever, let the insurance company deal with it. Step-Mom was annoyed that my Dad had that "whatever" attitude. Haha.
Note to people who own property, make sure your insurance policy has Full Current Replacement Value. Meaning it probably cost $100k to build my house in the 70's. To build it today, would probably be $300k....or more. See my point? Anyways. Nice job Dan!

No stranger to fires living out here in California. Seems like they are getting more frequent too
There are times that we will walk outside and can smell the smoke. This is because they do controlled burning at our local state park. The scary part is that no one appears to be watching; I'm sure they are though.
Was this a controlled burn? Typically they don't get out of control like that.

I California, we don’t allow to fly drone during fire (nearby fire), if they see drone, they stop the air support (helicopter, airplane) to extinguish the fire

Dan if you see or hear about it spreading you might wanna grab a ladder mabey poke holes in your garden hose and put it along side your roof and have it on so if it pretty close to touching or gets to close hopefully the water keeps it from touching your house stay safe

Our neighbors house caught on fire last year and being from northern ca I was prepared , fire fighters had it out before I fully loaded my car with all my treasures 👍
