Here in Nebraska I’ve never seen a duro at Walmart at least since they took the jewelry kiosks out years ago.. I don’t even think I’ve seen a g shock in stock
@@antonioacevedo634 Walmart removing the jewelry kiosks is why you don't see them. I even managed to get me a g-shock for 25 bucks. I was in disbelief myself lol
My Casio Duro - in Blue Dial / Bezel has extremely high "readability" - its hand position at the quickest glance can be ascertained. Due to the uncluttered face markings, simple but bold hand design & large 44mm size. I hadn't appreciated that "readability factor" enough prior to buying my new Invicta Pro Diver Submariner homage in Hulk green - the standard 40mm (same as Rolex). I do enjoy the Invicta, its a beautiful Automatic homage really nicely finished, but its simpy NOT as usable as the Casio Duro for this reason.
My design in 1994 would be the 'Casio Techno' black and white digital watch. It was the height of eurodance back then, so this watch would include a flashing (blue/red/purple/yellow) full face backlight for switching on at live eurodance events and in your own bedroom (stays on for 60secs at a time), a midi 'rhythm is a dancer' alarm, a limited edition Korg keyboard strap design. Splendid for me! :)
Hello Russell, my dream watch in 1994 would have been the Casio "Quicktimer", a dive style watch with a rotating bezel and a small digital window on the analog dial. By turning the bezel clockwise (nice mechanical clicking) you would set and start a countdown shown in the digi window. To cancel it you just turn the bezel counterclockwise. When turned back to the 12 o´clock position, you can start a new countdown. Note: It´s a digital countdown, the bezel stays in position, it´s only used for setting, so no ticking noise while counting down. Basically it`s an egg timer. What would I use it for (other than cooking)? For setting an alarm for a quick spontanious power nap on the go! Alarm watches like the Poljot are not precise enough and on a Digital Casio there are too many buttons to press when you´re already tired and just on the edge of falling asleep. Just turn the bezel and bzzzzz.....

What a great Saturday, thought it could not get better, surprised by the arrival of a flip clock this morning and then BOOOM....Russ drops a video...happy Saturday people, another great video Russ matey!
This watch is very versatile! Just change the strap to fit the occassion! If you want it to be dressy put it on a jubilee bracelet. If you want it to be casual just use the stock rubber strap or nato straps. That's what I did on mine and my god the watch just changed completely! It's so expensive looking!
I absolutely love your channel, and your content, your the reason I bought my Casio McFly, and got in trouble again with my wife, why does anybody need 65 watches... I'd love to send you a picture of the Casio I designed... The Casio globetrotter GMT... Thanks again for all your maddening talent, take care mate...
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR so you asked for the functions ... 3 time zones at a glance, if you use the GMT hand for local time as well it will show you where north is if you point the 12 marker at the sun in the northern hemisphere and south in the southern hemisphere... Also it would be an ediface ... Tough Solar quartz, automatic... 🖖
Amazing that there's so much going for the watch yet so many things that aren't at the same time. I guess if you were looking for a Casio style watch in that year it would have to include a thermometer along with the obligatory day / date, multi time zone, second counting style of that era. I would say to add some pop culture themes but thinking back to the mid 90s it wasn't as popular as it is now.
The Casio Longus. A rectangular watch that is half the with of your forearm. It shows the date and time not abbreviated. Also packing in a few more features such as a moon phase and dual time. To secure it onto your wrist you would have 2 independent 18 - 20 mm straps on either end, maybe a third in the middle. Testing would need to be done to determine that. For powering it, either use multiple batteries or a rechargable one that could fit. Because of the size you can have more than 4 buttons as the top and bottom space could be used throughout the length.
The year is 1994. Casio release the Casio GUMP1986 (in honour of the film released the same year and the '1986' in reference to the year the book was published), a chocolate coloured watch with a similar design to the F91W, featuring a case back engraved with the figure of Forrest Gump sitting on a bench and a different coloured back light for each watch because "you never know what your gonna get"
New casio R-Duro (radio controlled duro) A new 40mm watch that will be your perfect daily beater. Always accurate, perfect for all wrists, the ULTIMATE watch for your collection! Casio R-Duro, tough as Rambo.
Awesome video! Surprised you don’t have more subs. Honestly great watch for the money. It’s my grab and go when I don’t want to reset my autos. But you’re absolutely right! Casio 40mm please!
Fantastic show. Alongside Graham Norton, you are my favorite show host. Keep up the great content. My new Casio would be called the Casio "Heavy Metal (HM)" series. The series would rehash 3 popular Casios from the past, but updated with all-metal cases and sapphire crystal. These would be the Casio F91W-1, Surfing Timer DW-403, and World Time AE1200WHD-1A...all ending with the model letters HM to signify the heavy metal series
Casio flip 94 so essentially it’s a digital watch with the usual bits like stop watch count down timer light but a button on the edge enables you to flip it over and on the other face is an classic watch ‘automatic’ with a bit of class! Coming in gold silver and black.
As 1994 is in question, my suggestion would be the Casio DJ-100F, also known as Deejay. It would be similar in design to the calculator model, but the buttons would be musical keys with which you can compose your own alarm melody or just play for fun. Also, the F stands for flashlight as it would have an illuminator light, but on the outside and could be used as a tiny flashlight, or as a light show for your Deejaying. 😄 It would be available in more different colors and the flashlight color would be different for each model. With that watch, you'd be the coolest guy in class. 😁💪
Rewatching this... Love my Duro, it's a daily and over 2yrs old. And I think they have fixed the Marlin issue, it's still there LoL I'm very hard on watches, have NO scratches on the crystal, and it's in very good shape. The lume is not great, have no issues with the crown, and the second hand hitting the markers is hit or miss(no pun intended). It appears to get better with time, btw. As for how it wears is subjective, and GShocks that interest me are more expensive that the Duro, as well I wanted a regular watch... NOT a digital, at that time. I've spent more on straps then on the watch and Love it... Spends most of its time on a StrapCode 22mm Super-J Louis JUB Watch Band Straight End, 316L Stainless Steel Solid V-Clasp Button Double Lock.
Great beater watch, chuck on the wrist for gardening, fishing, swimming and driving. Talking about driving how about 90’s Casio Rally, hour minute and second hands, and at the bottom of the dial a digital stop watch. And to finish off a great rally strap. On the case back the chequered 🏁. For all of us petrol heads and watch nerds.
Completely agree with you my friend, when I held one I was so surprised for the quality you get for a sub $50 USD watch. @ so relatable ha! wish it was 40mm tho. Thanks again for another quality show Russel
How about the Casio Bore-o, Russell? A watch that tells you how many steps you've done, and how many times you've told people how many steps you've done.
Great review on this big boy Casio Russell! Might have to go buy one as a gift for a fishing family member. Hmmm, don't have any new ideas that Casio hasn't already done, but maybe it would be funny if they reissued their older watches. Like the one that could change TV channels from faraway or perhaps one that can tune into radio channels. Ok ciao!
I know it's a bit unorthodox for a casio but i would love me a casio a-shock. The first automatic casio series. Think it could be a hit. Have a lovely weekend.
Hey. Im buying this one but I have really sweaty hands and wrists will it break quick or its durable even through a lot of sweat? Thanks in advance if you respond!
New subscriber! Shocked I’ve never found you’re channel until now! New watch idea - I need a watch that locks down my bank account temporarily every time I go on TH-cam/google/Instagram before I make another frivolous watch purchase 🤣🤣👌👌
Let me give you the Casio VR-673/RT-5, Street name: Laser. It tells time and the normal digital stuff, and it has a laserpointer! A Laser! You know: A LASER! Great duro-video.
Received mine today, a Birthday Pressie from my eldest. Was afraid maybe too big for my wrist, surprisingly fits better then my GShock GA 2000 1A9ER. Got the classic Black & Silver Marlin. Bezel is really stiff to turn though. Love it. Peace Out.
Have you handled the Casio mtp 4500d? I’ve never seen a review on it but it’s a cool watch for $60. Worn by Walt longmire for all 7 seasons of the show
I have the blue one which I think is terrific looking. I didn't know the markers were punched from the back of the dial. That's the same as the Alpinist.
Lets face it these are the holy grail of the budget divers still to date !!! ....only other casio i know of budget wise is the Casio Edifice EFV-100 42mm or the slightly smaller EFV110 that also has a screwdown crown but 100WR not 200...Yes i love the 44mm sizing suits my bad eye sight n 7.5 wrist size but yes 40mm theyd make millions still to date if they released em...Either way for less than £100 u can get a decent depth diver with a good heritage !!!! Great review...
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR I've just cancelled the order for a gshock instead because I was looking for a beater watch, are g shocks a better beater watch, also I wanted the Duro because I wanted a cheap quartz watch
One of my all time favorite Casio . I've actually have owned about 5 of these Duro's ..all of the black dial . I really want the gold trim Duro . the one i have now is on a skx jubilee bracelet . love the 44mm case ...perfect size for me .
The Casio Projecto (ref B1G-SH0W). Has a built-in mini projector, like those bedside alarm clocks, so you can project the time onto a wall whenever someone asks you for the time.
OK so it's 1994.. My watch would be the Casio Pubescent.. Which would remind me when Baywatch and Gladiators (who doesn't like JET) was coming on TV and also locate the nearest box of kleenex...
Watching this as affirmation of my duro that has just arrived, thought it was too big for me who is comfortable with 38-40 mm watches, but turned out it is ok and I looove it, no regret! *pardon my english lol
Nice fun review like it but this watch is a little too big 44mm on my 7 inch wrist. my preference is 42mm and 41mm in diver watches please Casio make this in 41mm or 42mm with shorter lug ends. Thank you
The Casio Ping Pong. A watch completely designed around and for the table tennis professional . The number one function is that the alarm goes off as soon as the youth club doors open.🙄 It will have so much weight that the gravitational pull will attract the ball to your hand.
I have the first addition of the Casio AMW-320C , they don't make these watches anymore... and it's the one with the push buttons on both side, Arnold Schwarzenegger had this watch in two of his movies.
My Duro has just landed in from the USA I can not believe how good it looks and very light on the wrist just the right size for me unlike my Bulova sea king which after a day on my wrist it gets put away for a few weeks
1994 new Casio, The Casio FW controller, all the useful features, but lets add a tv channel changer and video recoding feature for them old videos tape . This way you can change the channel over to the tennis and record what ever your misses wanted to watch😃 happy days.
Yep, they're brilliant, but yes they are big, even for my 19cm wrist,, but it's my beater watch of choice,. One point to note, if you take it to that well known watch battery changing shop, they'll want a lot more than the cost of the watch, for changing the battery,,, !! (something about pressure testing, ? ) So I ordered a battery from amazon and did it myself,, I have mine on a zuludiver black rubber deployant strap,, .. Truly excellent watch..
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Yep, they said they'd have to send it away, as well, to get the pressure test done, !! (£50++).. !! Cheaper to buy a new watch, every time the battery runs out of juice, ha ha ha.. Other places that don't begin with the letter T, (impsons) may have a different policy, ??
Thanks for the great vid! As for 1994- A Dragon Quest themed G-Shock for the 50th birthday of creator Yuji Horii. A digital watch with all G-shock features plus it plays the theme song as alarm... Or something like that 😂😁😎
Hi Russell, as the Casio guru and the person that caused my addiction to Casio, do you know what other original Casio metal straps fit the duro? Keep up Vids especially what the wife’s says as it has me in fits.
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Jody from Just One More Watch reviewed the new ones recently. He said Casio’s license to use the marlin had expired. Copyright, maybe? I agree with you, though-they’re still cool without the marlin, but they’re cooler with it!!
Think that comes from amazon USA... Unfortunately due to brexit they won't deliver to Northern Ireland... But the duro has a lil brother MTD-1053D.. Coming in at 42mm still has the same 200m WR and screw down crown.. Hopefully will get a duro when I'm in the USA next year
My suggestion would be the Casio Gramweigher , sounds stupid but it’s a mini balance with a square design , with LCD display and can fit on the wrist, resin for that vintage gimmick of the 80s 90s kind of vibe, and slim as you can get it.
Hello. Nice video. My watch idea for Casio...or feature lol...the Casio QT. Short for QuartzTank. It would be for quartz analog watches and would feature a quartz power reserve on the watch caseback. To keep the dial clean on their simpler designs and provide the much needed existing battery life so we know when the watch is going to die.
I love this watch I just ordered it for my vacation to the beach for my bday I’m not tryna risk ruining one of my expensive watches swimming but still want a watch that looks expensive for only $50 I’m not worried if I fuck it up but should be good for swimming
Casio Apple Pie Watch: It connects to this new thing called the internet. Also, right after I listened I picked up the blue dial version for $36 (GBP 26). Incredible price!
Could you please make a review of the Casio w86? It's a watch I used to have as a kid. Great video, nice watch... I'll have a think for the name and function🤔🤓... How about the Casio 'Safari' you press the button and get a exciting selection of wild beasts roaring and exotic bird calls 🤓😱
I like the size on my 7" wrist. The only flaw for me is that the tiny date window is incompatible with my aging eyes. The accuracy is ridiculously good-mine gains about a second a month.
Fab video... super fun... my watch would be the Casio Brit Pop, it would have a Blur’d screen, with a Suede strap... with Plup and Oasis tracks as the two inbuilt alarm options... a musical beater... yepee 😜👌

@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR I've just cancelled the order for a gshock instead because I was looking for a beater watch, are g shocks a better beater watch, also I wanted the Duro because I wanted a cheap quartz watch
Yes
Great video as always thank you for your effort.
Thank you my friend! Means a lot!
One of my all time favorite Casio . I've actually have owned about 5 of these Duro's ..all of the black dial . I really want the gold trim Duro . the one i have now is on a skx jubilee bracelet . love the 44mm case ...perfect size for me .
Thanks for watching Jerry!!
Casio
The Casio Projecto (ref B1G-SH0W). Has a built-in mini projector, like those bedside alarm clocks, so you can project the time onto a wall whenever someone asks you for the time.
Very cool this is!!
Congratulations my friend you won the competition!!!!!
Send your address to russelledmonds64@gmail.com and I’ll post him over to you!
I have the same watch fantastic bit of kit love mine on a Nato. Keep up the vids great work
Thanks Nigel! Such great value ay!!!!
OK so it's 1994.. My watch would be the Casio Pubescent.. Which would remind me when Baywatch and Gladiators (who doesn't like JET) was coming on TV and also locate the nearest box of kleenex...
In mine the bezel is not budging a mm in the clockwise direction, you’ve got a defective one.
Watching this as affirmation of my duro that has just arrived, thought it was too big for me who is comfortable with 38-40 mm watches, but turned out it is ok and I looove it, no regret! *pardon my english lol
I would of done in 1994 model of the duro but a duro chronogragh. Where it is a 44mm it would of fit nicely. Thanks and really enjoy the content
Nice fun review like it
but this watch is a little too big 44mm on my 7 inch wrist. my preference is 42mm and 41mm in diver watches please Casio make this in 41mm or 42mm with shorter lug ends. Thank you
Man if Casio made a 40mm case with a Nato It would be a massive success
Ben!! It’s a no brainer isn’t it!!!!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR love your whacky style. It’s a breath of fresh air.
The Casio Ping Pong. A watch completely designed around and for the table tennis professional . The number one function is that the alarm goes off as soon as the youth club doors open.🙄 It will have so much weight that the gravitational pull will attract the ball to your hand.
Hahaha like this my friend!
Ever considered MTD 1053???
I have the first addition of the Casio AMW-320C , they don't make these watches anymore... and it's the one with the push buttons on both side, Arnold Schwarzenegger had this watch in two of his movies.
Oh man you lucky devil! One day I hope to have that watch and the old H558 in my collection!;)
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR yes I'm very lucky to have this watch thank you
I have 2. Black on black and green bezel. 2 of my most loved, most worn watches ❤
My Duro has just landed in from the USA I can not believe how good it looks and very light on the wrist just the right size for me unlike my Bulova sea king which after a day on my wrist it gets put away for a few weeks
Is the date auto matic
1994 new Casio, The Casio FW controller, all the useful features, but lets add a tv channel changer and video recoding feature for them old videos tape . This way you can change the channel over to the tennis and record what ever your misses wanted to watch😃 happy days.
I love this my friend!
Great review. I enjoy watching your humor! The 44 looks good on you. It is not too big😜.
Mick!!! I was surprised!!!!
Yep, they're brilliant, but yes they are big, even for my 19cm wrist,, but it's my beater watch of choice,.
One point to note, if you take it to that well known watch battery changing shop, they'll want a lot more than the cost of the watch, for changing the battery,,, !! (something about pressure testing, ? )
So I ordered a battery from amazon and did it myself,,
I have mine on a zuludiver black rubber deployant strap,, .. Truly excellent watch..
Wow really?!?! That is interesting John! Well on the DIY! That’s what I’d do!!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR
Yep, they said they'd have to send it away, as well, to get the pressure test done, !! (£50++)..
Or something like that 😂😁😎
Thanks for watching SBM!!! Love the idea!
Entertaining as always
Thanks for watching my friend!
Ok, Casio corner is epic! Would you consider maybe making ein Braun Ecker? Ich denke dass ist ein Wunderbar idee
Hi Russell, as the Casio guru and the person that caused my addiction to Casio, do you know what other original Casio metal straps fit the duro? Keep up Vids especially what the wife’s says as it has me in fits.
Not off the top of my head my friend!
Got my 1st Duro yesterday… Awesome!!! 👍😊💥
I love my DURO. It's an amazing beater
Hard to argue!!
I have 3 of these in different color ways-love ‘em!! Mine are pre-2021..they took the Marlin off the dial and case back on the new ones.
Why are they doing this Frank?!?! They are losing some of the charm!!!!
Hopefully will get a duro when I'm in the USA next year
That is rubbish Gavo!!!!! I’ll check that out!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR its not as nice as the duro and comes on a metal strap..... Kinda more like n ugly little cousin lol
My suggestion would be the Casio Gramweigher , sounds stupid but it’s a mini balance with a square design , with LCD display and can fit on the wrist, resin for that vintage gimmick of the 80s 90s kind of vibe, and slim as you can get it.
Very good idea Bread!!!!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Bread 😂😂
Hello.
Thanks for watching Dale!! Great idea!;)
I'm planning to purchase one in the next month but looking at your reviews I would like to see what do you think about it. Nice channel. I've decided to subscribe for more mad watch content.
Greetings from Poland :)
Jayce! Thank you for watching my friend! It’s not a watch I’m planning to do in the near future but will definitely do eventually!!!!
Has Jody at JOMW done a review on this one?
What a mad watch! Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much for watching!!!
Somebody Please tell me the name of the last background song.
It’s me!!;) Martha’s Man ‘Misunderstood ‘
Please tell me... the song that goes.. Every little second every hour every minute of the day always end up being... etc
.
which song was it?

@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Thanks s lot. I like it.
I am a big guy so 42mm is great for me and I changed the mineral with a Chrystal glass for £16. I have a blue and a black, very happy I am
Are you interested in doing a Casio Oceanus T200 review?
The duro seems to be a must have watch is the any other budget must have watches that even someone on a big budget would like to have
Great video, nice watch... I'll have a think for the name and function🤔🤓... How about the Casio 'Safari' you press the button and get a exciting selection of wild beasts roaring and exotic bird calls 🤓😱
Definitely can see improvement on every video. Loving it!!
Thank you my friend!! I do try!;)
How long the lume last?
How long do you want it to last ?
I like the size on my 7" wrist. The only flaw for me is that the tiny date window is incompatible with my aging eyes. The accuracy is ridiculously good-mine gains about a second a month.
The Casio CT 94 with great water resistance a good background light & word interpreter ... the channel tunnel opened. 94 lol
Love it my friend!
My original thought for a 1994 casio would be wrist remote controller, or some with stainless steel cover on g-shock...
I bought this watch years ago and lost it a couple months ago. Been trying to buy another but they're all $50+ on amazon. I think I bought it for $20
The 45 degree angle display is for bicycle and motorcycle riders to aid visibility..... 🏍
Nice!!!!;)
Absolutely awesome Russ, what the wife said is so funny. 🤣🤣 And Buzz your girlfriend woof 🤣🤣. Fantastic as always mate. Richie of @watchesandsmiles
Hahahaha she has become an important part of the show now!! Thanks for watching Ritchie!!!
Fab video... super fun... my watch would be the Casio Brit Pop, it would have a Blur’d screen, with a Suede strap... with Plup and Oasis tracks as the two inbuilt alarm options... a musical beater... yepee 😜👌
I wish you had a review on the Timex TW2P87200 Taft Street as well along with a comparison.
Awesome video!!! Again, hitting it out the park. It is an awesome watch indeed.
Thanks for watching my friend!!
