Damn he grabbed the hen so aggressively, I wouldn’t want to be separated from my babies either and for being with them for 21 days just for them to be taken
Sometimes on rare occasions they suffocate. Mother hens aren’t gonna leave though without a fight. Edit: forgot to mention, he could definitely have picked the mother hen up better.
Looks like she wasn't done hatching her clutch. I have only ever removed one chick from a broody and that's only because it was the only egg, out of 8, that hatched and i placed it with other chicks I prviously ordered in a brooder. That being said, the best option is to let mama raise them if at all possible. I just had another clutch of 7 and they will stay with mom. She knows what to do and it's less work for me. 🙍
I am hatching chicken eggs from an incubator. They are pecking through as we speak. And this is what I saw. They need their mother's warmth. They don't even have lighting.
"Hatching chickens naturally" by picking the mother that clearly does not want you messing with her up by the feathers as a handle and taking her away from her clutch before all the eggs are even done hatching lmfao
Of course he picks them up i he sees a little chick i do that too to provide them off a warm place with food and water but i Treat my hens with respect the were Brooding 3 weeks i am very good friends with all my chickens and when the little chicks are ready for outside i put them by their mome how he picks up his hen she was screaming of pain he should not have chickens
oh wow i have never seen anything like this yet it's my first time and the chicks look adorable. It’s lovely to be here. Hope you can come by. Stay safe!
Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything. (A amizade é a coisa mais difícil do mundo para explicar. Não é algo que você aprende na escola. Mas se você não aprendeu o significado de amizade, você realmente não aprendeu nada)
don't understand why you had to be so aggressive with the hen though. Moreover, she was still in the process of hatching her eggs. We can still raise chicken with some love.
Sorry for all the hate I know and understand why you grabbed her like that broody game hens can be mean, much love from GA!!! P.S. I know I will get a lot of hate on this comment but all the haters your really just wasting your time.😃
Seems kind of cruel to take them away from the mother after she spent 21 days sitting on the eggs and hatching them. They have a better chance at life being raised by their mother.
The butthurt city people need to chill in the comments section.Yes he did pick up the hen in a not so nice way but that was because if he tried to remove her gently she would still attack him and move a lot putting the little chicks into danger of getting squashed. He had two choices of either setting up food and water for the hen and the chicks or separate the chicks from the hen and give them a box,a lightbulb for warmth, food and water and him caring for the chicks which would result in all the chicks making it out to adulthood under human supervision.Maybe the hen has a history of not raising the chicks well and letting rats or other predators snatch them from her so the man choose to separate her from them.Next time you scream animal abuse or other bullshit think about why he did it since you clearly have no idea how this stuff works and i can surely tell most of you are from the city and the only animals you came into contact with are dogs cats and possibly parrots.
Sorry for my language but what the fuck man the hen has to stay with the chicks to teach them basics. Also you didn’t need to literally grab the hen so harshly. She sounded like she didn’t like it.
Omg! That was awful how you grabbed the momma off, you pulled her so cruel by her feathers, so very cruelty to animals! Then take away the babies from her momma while they haven't even fully hatched yet?! Why not let the momma raise them she will teach them how to eat, drink and keep them warm! This should be titled "How NOT to treat a broody and her newborn chicks! So cruel!!!
Anna G yeah girl! How would he feel of somebody did that to him (which he totally deserves!!) This kind of people DONT DESERVE THESE BEAUTIFUL BIRDS! Awful everyone dislike!
The way you took the mom away from the cutch was totally unacceptable but I guess the ethnic class you belong to that practice is acceptable. I wouldn't subscribe or give you a thumbs up. I would like to come over where you are and see if you could pick on me the way you did that poor chicken. Coward !
Damn he grabbed the hen so aggressively, I wouldn’t want to be separated from my babies either and for being with them for 21 days just for them to be taken
He picked up the hen such brutally if your gonna hack them naturally then let them grow naturally with his mother
Sometimes on rare occasions they suffocate. Mother hens aren’t gonna leave though without a fight.
Edit: forgot to mention, he could definitely have picked the mother hen up better.
That was cruel the way the hen was removed... What's the rationale?

This is cruelty. They need warmth continuously under mother's feathers
Shirley Tsang he needs to show us the birds and he also has to transfer them to a clean place so the can be with their mom
Actually not cruelty normally
Oh wow.... okay :)
It's very cruel to pick up a mother like that. Next life, you will get treated exactly how you treat the mother chicken
There is no next life, only heaven or hell. Dont believe Babylonian fairytales.

Jeez, relax learn how to pick up a broody hen first dweeb. #chickenabuse
