great vid bro. I think what happens is that Razer realize they made an awesome mouse with the Viper mini, but it was too cheap. So they killed it and made something similar just to rise the price.

For me the sensor in the viper mini broke after a year also happened with the glorious model o 1
Does the cobra wired have a dpi button cause I don't have a laptop or PC to change the dpi
I dedided to get one thanks to this video since you showed how the LOD is lower now on the Cobra. I hated the Viper Mini LOD which was a dealbreaker.

If you placed a paper right under the sensor the LOD would be fixed. Its the fix that I did and made the LOD perfect
@@KcCake Covering the entire sensor? Tried the tape trick but didnt work on a corsair M65, where the LOD is HORRIBLE
@@Ruudiii no just at the very bottom. Search it up you use an opaque tape and cover the tiny bit at the bottom. You just try it and move it up until it doesnt move anymore
Looking at the underside of the Cobra makes me think... Did Razer just incorporate the Viper Mini LOD sensor tape mod into the cobra by making the plastic cover more of the sensor? 😅
I haven’t opened the mouse to check, but you might be correct 😜😜

When you measure any object (here the mouse) the weight will differ relative to its surrounding. In short it differe due to altitude and how far the object you are measuring is away frkm the centre of the earth

Viper mini got discontinued
any good alternatives for this mouse? i am looking for something in this price point and i have no idea which lightweight option is the best or at least one of the best

I have the Glorius O- and like it - I feel like it is similar
The side buttons, in both mice, use lower quality mechanical switches. You can see them if you search "viper teardown" or "cobra teardown". It's understandable because they are clicked less than M1 and M2. What I don't understand is that for middle button they use a tactile switch, presumably with much shorter life cycle, even for the expensive "viper mine signature edition". In some games you use middle button a lot. My viper mini middle button doesn't work as reliably as before, and there are more people with this problem. Ironically, many cheap mice use a regular switches for all main buttons. If only Razer used the same switch as for side buttons...
you don't talk about the scroll wheel, is it the same ? I got the viper mini and it's really bad
My viper minis sensor started acting up (repeatedly resets position to the top left of the screen) after almost 1 year of use. I cleaned the sensor and updated everything and anything that relates to the mouse, meaning its a hardware issue. Do you think this sensor problem might come back to the cobra?

cobra wired sensor uses the same sensor with viper mini but its 'kinda' updated so it may or it may not occur. you could check bearedbob's cobra wired teardown

same issue here. my viper mini started acting up recently just like yours. man, it's so annoying. it works fine again and acts up again.

great mouse except the fact that its two times more expensive then razer viper mini where I live (for now). Well I hope they at least fixed the side button issue, my razer viper's mini side button started to come lose and wobble after about a year of use. Still works just a little distracting

LOD was adjustable in soft. one problem mini had is scroll. click difference is most likely wear on older mouse vs new.
what about the one on the cobra ?
the scroll issue with viper mini was software and it was fixed with the latest software update.

Depending on your grip style. I use a pincer claw and the Cobra feels best for my 18x8.5cm hands

yes, to be exact it’s 2590 philippine pesos. No man, 55 canadian dollars is 2276 pesos. So plus tax it’s just almost the same price

@@AfterReviews yes, but viper mini is not available anymore. Viper mini had terrible LOD software didn't really help much, but there is a trick to put little duck tape over the sensor to hover it and it reduces lod drastically
@@Bestuszew that’s what razer fixed in Cobra. They lowered the lod to 1mm.

I'd recommend checking out IEMs or studio headphones rather than a gaming-marketed headset. Better sound quality for their price and hindi madali masira like Razer.

I wouldn't recommend the Cobra. I had the Viper Mini for many years and decided to try out this one. The clicks are awful, the skates slide less and the sensor feels less precise. I really don't like it. The only positive thing is that the scroll wheel feels a bit better. RIP Viper Mini, you were the budget GOAT. 😔

have cobra made in thailand and quality is not great. scroll rattle out of the box. different left and right clicks.
Same problem with my Viper Mini, which was manufactured in Thailand; my mouse Spinouts when I try to flick fast.
