She may have a point about the health claims, but she's being ridiculous about a successful pair of entrepreneurs not being able to run a second company.

The small amount in the chocolate is not going to do anything. I bet the whole package doesn't have the recommended daily value of a single one of those supplements.
You still need proof that this specific product still validates those health claims
We don't know what quantity of supplements they use or how those supplement interact with each other and with caffeine in those quantities

At 8:39 Karen says, the French live a lot longer because of dark chocolate, and then she hypocritically goes off on them for making health claims.Their health claim are common sense knowledge and scientifically proven. Obviously they didn't pay for their own private tests. But who cares? If I want to sell a custom made canteen and tell people they will live a healthier and longer life because they are properly hydrated...I don't need to do my own scientific studies.
They simply just need to reword it.
we were asking for $50k to get the business off the ground. It's pretty clear why we can't afford to do double blind tests through a university.

She's so dramatic XD the ingredients are all scientifically proven to "build muscle" there's tons of preworkouts that don't have their own studies and make similar claims and they aren't getting sued because it's the ingredients that are proven. Also there are plenty of gyms that manufacture their own products and are still maintaining, even growing their gym, so you can do both

She is just scared of them getting sued, which leads to bankruptcy for a lot of businesses making false claims. Using the word “scientifically proven” means the company itself either proven it or outsourced research for it. Something like this would not cost too much.

Absolutely ridiculous from Janine, there are many entrepreneurs who dabble in multiple businesses. I don't see why she even bothered to give them the hope at the last minute only to pull put anyway.
The lads came across very well, were articulate and presented their product smoothly, the fact they have three gyms should be a positive, not a negative.
