Healthy is a difficult word because it means different things to different people. This is not a diet product packed with stevia. However, this is unquestionably a healthier alternative relative to the norm. Ask anybody with a food allergy (dairy, nut, gluten, etc.). Ask anybody who believes in sustainability, and not deriving their ingredients from animal products. Chickpeas are obviously healthier than the flour, eggs, and butter base of most cookies. Also all of these low calorie alternatives are kind of BS, and people fall for the marketing all the time. You generally don’t fill up on them at all, and you eat 5-10x servings. Rule Breaker is not that, it actually fills you up. Mark is generally on point, but he was off here imo.

The calorie question was an opportunity. She should have stressed that they had far fewer sugar calories and that a lot of the density was from fat and protein from the chickpeas and sunflour butter. Those are healthier calories and calorie types that vegan diets actually need to focus on getting an adequate amount of.

@@lcd3123 lol do you know what sunflower butter is? It's just sunflower seeds, much healthier than butter. It's a comparison to peanut butter not regular dairy butter. It can contain added oil (like peanut butter sometimes does), but typically it's just ground up sunflower seeds.

Rule breaker snacks are projecting $2.2M in July 2022.
But are they profitable? Profitability is the most important factor in business, not revenue or projection.

Given the debt she has, it will still take years and years to get out of the red. They were right, as an investment, it didn't make sense.
She’s going to have trouble competing against MadeGood snacks. Tried both and those are way better. Kids won’t touch the Rule Breakers, half arrived so hard you’d break a tooth biting into them.

Kevin literally wanted to make an offer for $100K for 10%, with $300K line of credit, but he would have been third in the pecking order to get his money back. You can feel his heartbreak because he loves this product and it’s the kind of offer he makes all the time.

She's older and probably has a lot saved in her retirement which is safe in case the company goes out of business. Worst case scenario she moves out of that big house she has and moves into a smaller apartment and retires from there. She resumes reading and writing books. Or she can do a little consulting work since she used to work for a huge magazine. She's so happy that I'm sure she can brush it off that she tried for something she really believed in. When you get older and towards retirement you don't need much other than a 1 bedroom apartment with a bathroom and a kitchen. Kids are probably long grown up. That woman is at least in her 50s at this point. Probably almost 60.

More calories doesn’t necessarily mean its bad. This cookie just makes you full for longer than your average cookie.
Calories don’t equate to satiety. Being higher calorie, yet tasting worse than an average cookie with LESS calories.. losing strategy

The read her company is projecting total sales of $2.2 million in 2022, compared to 2021 sales of $1.3. This should have hee break even with her dept and more profitable going forward!

I think she sorta branded her product all wrong. There are tons of "healthy" options in the market already. I think she needs to focus on celiacs and vegans
The price is always the issue even if the product is good (I'm not saying if this one is good or not). Most people that want a tasty snack don't want to have to pay 2x or more than they'd normally would even if it's healthier. It seems kinda odd that a lot of food in stores have gone up in price, but not most of the pricier healthier snacks. The ones that cost a little under $6 in California are still the same price while everything else has gone up. It's nice that the healthier M&M, Reeses, etc... type snacks haven't gone up in price, but that tells me that these kind of food didn't need to be priced this high in the first place.

I hate people that say that because although their the same calories so you wouldn’t gain more or less weight from eating them they are a lot my healthy. You would not get the same nutritional value so it is more healthy and good for you. It’s not a fat loss cookie it’s just a healthy alternative even though she tried to lie about it

This lady leaves Shark Tank. She stops to get herself a nice latte where she meets a close friend to chat about the day's events. She runs a few errands, calls her Mom, stops for an oil change & picks up a few miscellaneous items at her local supermarket. Once she gets home, she prepares a nice Cobb salad. She only eats half along with a glass of wine. She saves the uneaten Cobb salad in a BPA free plastic container, puts it in her refrigerator and cleans her kitchen a bit. She then decides it's time for a bath. She feels a little more stressed than normal, so she decides to light a few candles & throw a fizzy bath bomb in the tub to make it extra relaxing. She prepares for bathtime as she normally would, undresses and feels the stress of the day release as she slips into the tub. A few moments later, there's a barely discernable knock at her bathroom door. Almost as if a mouse is scratching on it versus a true knock. It's too early for her husband to be home but she thinks it could be one of her daughters. She quietly mentions she's in the tub but to crack the door open if it's urgent. The door does indeed crack open, and she's surprised to see it's Barbara...letting her know she's still out.

I hope she succeeds. She's so happy, but not in an annoying way. When you're all in like that, you better be laser focused and hopefully happy to start the day and get to work. This isn't the first time I've heard a co-packer or a manufacturer messing up a company's product though. And the company takes a big hit. I wonder if there's any recourse against the manufacturer that screwed up. It's not the company's fault that the manufacturer can't follow directions.
