Anaheim Fire MAYDAY Radio Traffic "Knollwood Incident" - February 20, 2022

Firefighters were dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 1169 N. Knollwood Circle in Anaheim just after 11:20 AM on February 20, 2022. Units arrived on scene to find heavy fire showing. While initiating a fire attack, two firefighters were injured by an explosion that was believe to be caused by a rupturing propane or butane cylinder inside the fire. A mayday was called and the two firefighter were treated and transported to the hospital. One firefighter suffered serious burns while the other suffered fractured vertebrae after the explosion. Both survived. A 4th alarm response was ultimately requested before the fire was brought under control.
