What zone are you in, I'm in zone 12 (May 1 - 10) as I'm on the outskirts of Derby. I have a short growing season 😒 Also, I warched a video on reviving old seeds using aloe. th-cam.com/video/KEhFBep7BTo/w-d-xo.html
‘Magic cupboard of seedlings’ - love it! 😆 Great advice as always in this video - it’s getting to that time of year when we’ve got seed trays all over the house!
I'm a recent tea soaker chilli seed convert, thank you and yes i heard it here first. Actually, did 1/2 in decaf and 1/2 in full strength. following on from your previous video where critics claim caffeine in tea possibly being a retardant...not a blind bit of difference. All doing really well ( saved seed from tesco red chilli) Have a great season
Brilliant video, starting off my onions 🌰, 🍅 and pepper 🌶 seeds this week, thanks for the tips, just subscribe looking forward to more of your videos 📹 Tim
Walaykumasalam wa rahmatullaah wa barakatohu Peas Peppers Chilis Tomatoe Aubergine Coriander Lettuce So many things we can start off now brilliant jazakAllahukhairn
I so enjoy your videos I just learn so many new things. I just did some seed swapping with a friend of mine and got some sweet banana peppers that you mentioned during a live a while back. I'm really excited to try them out. I told her about your channel and the tea method. She didn't believe me until I showed her my germination rate on peppers this year. I have never had this high of a germination rate for peppers before. I'm so excited for warm weather to get here.
I just getting set up. So far only my onions, spinach and some lettuce have been planted. Mine all go into an unheated greenhouse so I am chomping at the bit to start peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. I am trying to be patient and wait a few more weeks until the last few freezing nights are done. Peas and carrots in another week. Happy gardening!
i LOVE ! the magic cupboard , now i know what to do with the cupboard in my bedroom, it's usually full of junk , but a magic cupboard would be much ! better for my plant growing . 😊
Gonna start my tomato plant collection in a few weeks when I know what the weather is doing as I have a fear we gonna get another cold snap and I can’t have too much in the house. Atm I’m growing some bits in the house that I can’t grow outside yet like radishes and beets so we have some for salads. With the grow lights I’m hoping it will work well. Started some lettuce leaf yesterday so see what happens there and my onions are now in little trays well 77 seed trays and got 2 full with red Barron as couldn’t get any sets at all last year, well not without paying alot so I had loads of seeds so seed it is. Never done seed before so hoping it’s not all in one cart you know. I’m also gonna start some carrots and I’m gonna start them in the tub inside so I can move it out once they germinate same with parsnip next month as did do well last year from any I started outside but the ones I started in warmth did so that’s what I’m gonna do more of. Get them germinated and then out they go.
Now up to 6 trays of 🧅 and Spring Onions done with your timely reminder here ☑️ First tray of Peas ☑️ Cold snap next week so that’ll do me for now since I’m keeping things indoors 🏡
I really appreciate what you do. Can you do a video for those of us who don't have a green house. All I have is a plot of land and I want to know if i can start with onions, lettuce and radish from DIRECT sowing?
You sow a lot of seeds, I try to start from seeds, some come up very well , but I end up getting little plants especially tomatoes as I only need a few.
Why not sow then direct into the ground, mine are greenshaft and are 3 " high already. My onions just cane through on Sunday, in the garden. Carrots also above ground and I saw my first beetroot yesterday, all in the garden. Frost, what is that at over 2,000 ft up in the mountains we don't get much of that. Well I hope not as plumbs, peach and nectarines are all in full bloom.
Salam, Please could you help me? I live in Birmingham and i have a 7ft fig tree in a 50L (Aprox) pot. I brought it inside for winter. But recently i have found out that Turkey fig tress are somewhat hardy ( bi iz nillah). Would it be ok if i put the fig tree back outside today? Jazak-Allah khair

Love the channel
Great tips.
I watch a couple of UK youtubers who plant in the gutters.
JazakAllah khairan. I followed your chilli germination hack of first soaking the seeds in tea and MashAllah I see them germinating.
Mashallah that's great news
Amazing 🙌🏾
Lets hope this year isn't as crazy weather wise as last year... Those 2 40° days destroyed so many crops..
Nice to see you have some chickens at the start of the video. Little known fact is that we are LEGALLY allowed to keep chickens in our garden.
👍🇬🇧🌱 all systems go
“Peas don’t like being transplanted” - just after planting peas in pots … oops. Luckilly I’m succession planting. So I only planted like 12.

Hi. Nice video. Is there a 'easy' courgette variety you recommend?

I fancy trying crystal lemon this year, suttons have them in the seed sale
I grew Crystal Lemon and they were very prolific but I didn’t like the thickness of the skin and found them rather lacking in flavour…….

Salam baisab. You should do some TH-cam shorts.
walaikum salaam, i've done some, but to gain knowledge in any field patience is a prerequisite
Salam,
Please could you help me?
I live in Birmingham and i have a 7ft fig tree in a 50L (Aprox) pot.
I brought it inside for winter. But recently i have found out that Turkey fig tress are somewhat hardy ( bi iz nillah).

Jazak-Allah khair
Walaikum salaam, now that you've brought it inside i'd leave it inside and properly acclimatise it before moving it outside when it's warmer
@@MyFamilyGarden Ty very much. Even if it was kept in an unheated conservatory and still dormant??
I sow my tomato seeds 10 days ago in propagator on windowsill but haven't seen anything yet 😞
Remove sunlight
Have you watered the soil? They need a soil temp of 18c+
@@MyFamilyGarden the temperature is around 14-15 or less at night. Will try again. Thank you for the reply
The seeds should still be ok just turn the temperature up
Is that a real blue orchid on your window
