Enjoyed this . Was crystal clear and down to earth and seemed like it was pitched at an average hobbyist gardener rather than a wannabe market gardener like some other channels, or somebody with a garden the size of Monty Don.
Whoops. I sawed my tomatoes with my chilli pants in my little hydroponic unit last week. Too early 🙄.. I’ll know for next year.. thank you great video very interesting..💚
Thanks so much! You are a pleasure to watch! So informative and a good teacher. I came to see your container cabbage and stayed to watch some more! Fantastic, more gardening channels like yours please 🙌
That spring onion garnish is nice on mash. Had a lovely time at the garden centre this week eyeing up seeds and spending the first money of the season. Hope you have some time to spend in a garden centre as well, it's a cure for work!
Hi Ivan I took your advice and exactly the same I have two broccoli is two Savoy is two cauliflowers all in those plant pots all doing really really well now I’m going to check out and do those spring onions thanks Ivan
Everything is looking fantastic in the greenhouse Ivan, will be starting spring onions, greyhound cabbage and potatoes this weekend. Thanks for sharing all your hints and tips.
Hi there Ivan I have only recently subscribed to your channel about 6 weeks ago , but I must admit you know what your on about, your veg look superb I only grow carrots green beans and spring onions ,as I've only got a very small garden but I enjoy growing them , I look forward to viewing more of your content within next few months ,excellent stuff thanks regards Jeff.
Hi Ivan, your veg is looking terrific. You've done really great to over winter everything, considering the harsh weather we've had. you should have a great harvest again this year. Well done.
Just found your channel. I've been binge watching since. You are so precise in your instructions and since I grow in containers only, you are giving me a lot of tips others don't think about. I love that you take into consideration the cost of grow lights, soil, and things like that.
That’s the thing, I have grow lights so I will be started a lot more warm and bright! 😅 we have led which take no energy at all! But the bills are a worry but I think if I start them from seed then I would be buying plants which is 5/6 quid each!
Absolutely great vid, lots of advice , Iv literally purchased everything online , containers , compost, fertiliser , seeds etc but I don’t have a greenhouse 😢 I’ll have to start everything off in my home and hope for the best 🙏 thank you so much for these vids , they are so helpful and inspiring, especially your cooking from what you grow , I can’t wait to do that, her in Liverpool uk , you can’t buy a lot of vegetables and salad foods, there’s even talk of rationing one per customer , that done me along with the prices
Hi Ivan I am really really impressed with everything you’re showing on your tube Chanel Can you please let me know which gardening centre you got these from Please I have got into gardening since the lockdown, I’ve spent thousands in trying to grow vegetables, All I’ve grown successfully is beautiful tomatoes but everything else grows but dies just before fruiting, I can’t get my head around how you’ve managed to grow all the different things Please help
Very informative, here in Ireland me and my daughter sowed seeds in plant pots in the she, bell peppers, Tomatoes, chives, basil, and lettuce, think it might be too early for lettuce tho? Hope something grows as i don't want her to be disappointed
Sounds great Robbie Lettuce is cold hardy so should be fine or try one of the more cold hardy varieties like Lambs Lettuce Good luck to you and your Daughter Thank you
Poppie would be proud ...the only thing I kept alive was spinach during winter🤣. Please Can you do something about soil compassion as I think mine is incorrect as nothing grows? Unlike your beautiful harvest I only grow leaves and funny looking bulbs. I am hoping this second year of growing and following you will provide me more veg for my family of 5 !!
I have turnip seeds leftover from late last year. Are they the same as parsnips in viability? Also, can I still pot on the crowded turnip, beet and radish seedlings I grew outside? Ivan, the greens that survived the onslaught of white butterflies just love the cold weather and I have been propagating cuttings from one that looks like a little tree. The green pepper plant survived another winter as did a new one which nametag got lost. Thank you for inspiring us new gardeners with traditional gardening skills.
Hi Josie Turnip seeds will be fine for another year Turnips Beets & Radish will grow very happy together multisown you could separate but be careful of root damage
What fabulous bird song. I love watching your videos thanks
Thank you Claire

Thanks for all your great advice. Can I just ask, because you have no heat in your greenhouse, what do you do during frost weather?
I just fleece and bubble wrap then cross everything
Thank you :)
Hi Ivan, can we start spring onions now in an unheated greenhouse? very informative video!
Yes you can
You can grow them all year as very cold hardy
Thank you Shweta
Hi Ivan, I love your work, thanks, but you should seek treatment for your molluscophobia haha
True
Thank you :)
