It does surprise me because I thought that Brits are very fond of kittens (and Oligarchs' Billions?), unlike refugees, Europeans, tomatoes. As an American, it's been very difficult to follow, let alone understand, British politics for quite some time. For example, is it true that Only Mad Dogs and Englishmen Serve in HM's Government?
