Townsend’s hit piece was purely that. No facts and no rebuttal of Aaron Mate’s stance on Syria, all heavily researched. He had nothing and the phone call revealed him to be nothing more than a security state goon.
Look up the definition of fascism. I would argue Trump meets all the criteria. He does not believe in democracy or the constitution, with him denying the election results and trying to overturn the election. He used military to quite down riots and protests during his tenure as president. He threatens and smears people who have different opinions to himself. How is he not?

Only in the most simplistic interpretation. Fascism/Nazism is an authoritarian doctrine based on ultra nationalism and racial purity. That is not socialism. Then you have the problem of far right groups waving swastikas. Though it could be argued that Fascism borrows elements from socialism and corporate capitalism.
