I have both iPhone 13 Pro with the DJI 5 gimbal and GoPro 11. For this test your results above are equivalent but gimbal is better for sweeping smooth pans, low shots, and zoom. iPhone pro has 3 lens. DJI camera zoom works with button on the DJI gimbal handle. I find GoPro good for up close shots but for more distant (>20-30 ft) subjects it’s too wide of angle to see subject details unless the subject is big. So it depends on your purpose and subject.
I remember our tour guide in Sagada, Philippines when he was so worried about his shots with our GoPro being so shaky until he reviewed it and got so amazed on how it was so stable. He volunteered holding the gopro and extended his arm outside our van window while moving so he thought the output would be unusable. (GoPro Hero 10 w/ Horizon Leveling)
lol the video is talking about go pro stabilization vs the iphone in gimbal because gimbal is more stabilize when you use it for phone. it shows that you dont need gimbal on go pro.
Action Mode on iPhone alone provides some dang good stabilization for being software based. I’ve seen videos without a gimbal in the iPhone comparing it to GoPro’s and it doesn’t change much from what this video displays.
What builtin stabilization basicly does is zoom into the image and digitally and dynamically move the image around while recording to constantly record the same thing.
The IPhone + gimbal definitely takes the cake on that one 🤷🏼♂️ GoPro was amazing though. It’s doing that much work inside the GoPro vs apparatus with large pivot points.
They are almost exactly the same in terms of stabilization, but the image quality is better on the GoPro, as well as it being waterproof, more durable, smaller, lighter, less expensive, easily mountable to almost anything, and yields higher quality videos in post editing. It's a no-brainer.
With the Gopro you can still receive make and answer calls and messages whilst recording, so there no comparison. Best to keep them separate. Plus you can use the Gopro with a gimbal.
The GoPro will always be flawless because it is electronic and therefore has no mechanical parts so a mechanical gimbal will always have some sort of anomaly in the footage
Gopro looks better, but has a lot of distortion Un the up-down axys, so IMO putting the Gopro on a stabalizer would be best. Dosen't even have to be a powered thing, a elastic mount to smooth out the vertical motion would bake it perfect.
The phone gimbal is clearly smoother than the GoPro, but not by much. Overall the GoPro is such a superior camera to your phone it isn’t even a competition really. The fact that it’s so easy to mount the GoPro to so many things make it such a better tool than a gimbal and a phone. Handheld gimbals are useless when you’re skiing down a mountain, you need something to mount to you rather than hold. That’s just one example. Stabilization in a handheld gimbal may slightly be better than that of a GoPro, but GoPro is the far superior camera.
I am so glad that I did not invest on gimbal in 2017 which was as expensive as go pro.. As a traveller go pro is way handy and better. I just want to see how dji action 4 and go pro hero 12 would be.
Anything on gimbal definitely work better compare to built in stabilizer. But, everyone's know what the purpose of you using 'Go Pro' as main camera. It compact, waterproof, and easily attached to your body or any kind of surface. Definitely you won't attached your iphone over tip of kayak, boat, surfboard, car bornet while your doing all the drift, speeding action.

GoPro + Gimbal = silent flight activated
I've been thinking to do this tbh. I just can't find the phone gimbal with GoPro mount, because I'm not using camera gimbal for obvious reason.
It’s gonna be like chicken vision stabilization.
Ghost silance bro ❤
@@malikhaidar I believe hohem 6 phone mount will hold a go pro

So sideline football games to zoom in on players 50 meters away, id be best to use a phone then purchase the go pro 11?
Just a filter or lens for it and your good
phone is def more stable, but the GoPro is still amazing and better quality footage so I'd take the gopro
how the f are you so blind ?
GoPro have worse dynamic range worse resolution and more noise in low
Light.
How do you define quality ?
@@TH-camCREATERSTUDIO in low light go pro sucks
Recently bought a Go pro. So disappointed TH-cam is full of fake review videos..
@@avlogs8878 you refering to the image stabilization?
I just wear a gimbal on each leg so the camera type doesn’t matter

Underrated comment😂
For reasons like this, is than I prefer GoPro definitely 😁
vote for iphone, seems useful
@@hyy3657they said they prefer it and they arn’t trying to start a war
Yeah the lighting is better and it’s less shaky.
Winner GoPro, for not wrecking my economy 🎉
Go Pro video looks more stable, even with the gimbal on the I phone still lacks that stabilization
And the price tag on it 💀

Gropro is much more usable for mounting vs a gimbal, gopro can also be used for other types of shots
The new iPhone has action mode for this reason so that along with the gimbal makes it a lot better
Go pro doesn’t have quality ! It’s such poor quality
Still the gopro wins though
too big for runn8ng and other ations
This year Go Pro is adding a sim slot.

what for ?

Stable pro Max 1tb😂😂😂
That would 100% beat the purpose of the go pro.
Right, I agree with the overarching point….with the gopro you get that rock steady video without the need for a gimbal.
Can you imagine a GoPro with a Gimbal?
😮🔥That would be insane bro
@@ArunKumar-2000 flawless..

There was....gopro hero 6 + karma grip
I ordered the Smooth 5 gimbal model. I have gopro hero 9. Is there a tool that I can use with this gimbal?
the color nuances of the GoPro are amazing
To consider: how much is the crop factor in the go pro? Depending on shooting situation and the outcome we want, both are valid
gopro looks like a person is filming whereas the other one looks like a drone is filming
Honestly, they are both good, I'd be happy with either one of them
I think both gives same stability .
A quality gimbal is going to provide more stability than any software solution ten times out of ten.
9 because this time it was pretty equal
do both on gimbal and lets talk again.
Definitly Go Pro cause its small and compact easy to cary gimbals after sometime you get tired
With the GoPro you definitely get a better view in the shot then you do with the iPhone
GoPro of course, but for a phone that can take compatible videos with a GoPro, that's amazing.
Go pro with gimbal? 😁👌
They both are really good but honestly I would prefer the gimbal since it is on your phone and you can use it with FaceTime and other things like that
gopro has 10 bit footage so yes
Gopro background is aligned well.
Mechanical gimbal will be more preferable in my opinion
The winner would be the go pro if you combined it with the stabilizer that holded the iPhone but with the goal pro
Both are great.
i prefer gopro cuz its waterproof so if its rain, i dont have to worry about it
videos from the GoPro looks more stable than my love story
Don't be galau, bro.

I'm looking into these. What's better for a VLOG while in the car or streaming on youtube?
GoPro
DJI pocket 2
This is amazing how much close a phone has come to a proper videography machine
GoPro by far!
The only difference is that the gimbal still had stabilisation of the GoPro on still
GoPro is alwya god for action camera 🔥
I think the iPhone with the humble was more stable cause iPhone also has built in stability.
Gopro smashes!
What builtin stabilization basicly does is zoom into the image and digitally and dynamically move the image around while recording to constantly record the same thing.
Go pro King 🤴 🙌

Gopro
That place looks beautiful 😮
gopro + gimbal🎉🎉😊
Thats crazy how an iPhone that has so many other applications can do better than something meant for this specific purpose
As a judge of an imaginary court I declare gopro as a winner.
Now iPhone has action mode AKA stabilization mode
iPhone has action mode dude…
I'm taking my guess before seeing the video. Gimbal would work better, software stabilization usually causes some sort of distortion.
Either depends on budget but both work effectively
They are almost exactly the same in terms of stabilization, but the image quality is better on the GoPro, as well as it being waterproof, more durable, smaller, lighter, less expensive, easily mountable to almost anything, and yields higher quality videos in post editing. It's a no-brainer.
GoPro looks more natural while keeping the quality neat gopro it is
With the Gopro you can still receive make and answer calls and messages whilst recording, so there no comparison. Best to keep them separate. Plus you can use the Gopro with a gimbal.
the gimbal doesnt take into account abrupt shock forces, so easily the gopro. you can see it in the footage.
iPhones do have built in stabilizer as well so it's not fair. And the GoPro image quality looks better especially with water.
GP has such a nice cinema look 😊
Gimbal shot looks more naturally stabilized
Only downside is they have to crop the video to make it look “stable”.
I like the colours on the GoPro. Iphone's video is a bit contrasty compared to GoPro's clear, clean, bright and soothing colours.
Gopro is much better because in the gimbal footage there's so much jitter and the horizon is not leveld
Gopro keeps the object or person perfectly in the frame, meanwhile the gimbal looks more natural
when you realize that 13-14 Pro has built in stabilization as well
$500 gimbal, no question wins
Cheaper and better 👌
Possibly a tie since it both did good but more cheaper almost better
Amazing stabilisation from GoPro. 🙌
The GoPro will always be flawless because it is electronic and therefore has no mechanical parts so a mechanical gimbal will always have some sort of anomaly in the footage
Iphone has stabilizer too, so that it work double stabilization
The gopro looks more natural with a slight bit of movement, the phone+gimbal also looks good but it's looks a bit stiff and too stable.
Just for the overall price assuming you probably already have an iPhone The gimbal would be the cheaper option. GoPros used to go for like $250
Both stable but gimbal is like adjusting a lot. its stable but like a photographer keep looking for best location.
I can't tell the real winner because I'd need to see what the final resolution left after the gopro's image stabilization is.
They're pretty much equal on the smoothness of the video but GoPro wins because of the quality
No, the GoPro has a soap opera look wheress the iPhone had a more natural and cinematic motion blur.
Chicken: Be Hold!
Gopro looks better, but has a lot of distortion Un the up-down axys, so IMO putting the Gopro on a stabalizer would be best. Dosen't even have to be a powered thing, a elastic mount to smooth out the vertical motion would bake it perfect.

I think you should put midrange phone instead iPhone, because basically iphone without gimbal it's also good
GoPro any day. It’s an absolutely amazing camera and can be used in so many ways
I am so glad that I did not invest on gimbal in 2017 which was as expensive as go pro..
As a traveller go pro is way handy and better. I just want to see how dji action 4 and go pro hero 12 would be.
Try testing in low light, you can see the difference
the phone filming go pro💀💀
Gopro since theres a little bit distortion in the buildings in iPhone using gimbal
the gimbal because its the real video and by the go pro it's with a program
The Gimbal w/ iPhone was a bit less shaky
Gopro tech plus gimbal: levitates
Go pro be like:-
There is no one in existence who can beat me up.
Quality GoPro definitely wins but I feel like the iPhone looked more stable
When you realize the new iPhones have built in action camera aka built in stabilizing camera
Ok
Still using my gopro
Dynamic range is good in go pro. Stability is good in ip+gimbal.
Similar results, while the iPhone 14 + Gimball will set you back about 4 times what a GoPro costs
Gimbal and GoPro are good but what is the brand of camera from which you recorded IPhone's video??
Go pro is cheaper if you already have a phone
Imagine the phone with action mode and gimball
About stability I would say it's a tie but GoPro has a way better quality

They both stay stable it’s just that te GoPro looks better
Go pro is better looking footage because of how the camera bobs in motion with the running but the gimbal is much more stable
