Good review, I just ordered one, so I can use it without the subscription right? Like I just want it so I can see if someone goes in my room while I'm at work, how long does it record for? I know you said 3 hours but when a 3 hours is up can you erase that or when a 3 hours is up do you have to join a subscription?
What does it mean if you continue to get the "something went wrong" message during the finishing up stage? I have done the airplane mode on/off, I have done a factory reset. After many attempts I continue to get the same message.
Same problem, have new Starlink, I was on tech support for hours, they couldn’t figure it out, my other google spot light and door bell works fine, they have a bug in software
Will this Nest Cam (indoor, wired) image stream and features such as motion, people, vehicles and animals alerts/detection still work if I mount the camera from the ceiling (upside down)?
Like for example if I see a notification someone went into my room and there's nothing but serious and I want to delete the recording from that day can I keep doing that? On a continual basis and to be free for the entire time I use it? Or will I eventually have to join the subscription
Factory reset it. Any issues with it not connecting, factory reset it. Hold a paper clip in the hole on the bottom where it connects with the base for 10-15sec, will beep a few times, keep holding till it does a second round of beeps.
Only thing negative about it, is you are almost forced to buy the subscription. What's the point on having 3 hours of free video? If someone breaks into your shed at 1:00 in the morning. It's gone before 6:00 a.m.
Google purchased the Nest Universe and they are branding it now as Google which works with the Google Home App this particular camera is a Google Nest 2nd Gen Wired Camera
Man this fucking thing won't even connect to my network. Says there is no internet connectivity on my network...but yet I was able to connect a nest hub no problem.
@@WorldofTech I appreciate you bro! I actually went down the rabbit hole of troubleshooting. Even returned my first unit for a 2nd. Even Google support couldn't help. Ended up trading it in for the battery version. Connected no problem. I think the wired version might not be compatible with Netgear Modems and Routers. I use a Netgear XR5OO Router and the CR1200 Modem. And my apologies if my comment came off as disrespectful toward you, I was just voicing my frustration at that camera.

Good video. What do I do if my new device is not "found" and I can't add it? Been trying for a couple of hours.
Thanks for the tutorial sir!

What if you don't see the blue light just constant white?
What the different in the Google Home App vs the Nest App? Can both be used for this camera or one vs the other?
Just use google home app nest has been migrated.
How do you get audio alerts or warnings with this? Like if I'm away and I want my cell to warn me with a beep or something? Can't figure it out...
Go to settings on doorbell from google home app and look for notifications.
how do you get the screeching sound to stop?
I can't connect to my wifi
Is it wise to publish the setup code in the internet? Just wondering.
Each Camera has a unique code
How do I add the camera to my nest app
Exactly...did you figure that out?
@@supadave041485 you can't. U have to use the Google Home App

Yea u pretty much need a subscription or it’s just about useless. I pay $10 a month.
Por que me tira luz verde no me tira azul no puedo instalarlo
What happens if the blue light doesn’t turn on? When I plug mine in it blinks white a couple times then turns off.
I had a new wifi password so I need to add my cam but it is not found and I’m not able to connect. What to do ?
What does this camera do?
It’s a security camera for indoors.
Why doesn't it get added to the Google Nest app?? It's a nest cam?!

Do this… unplug ur modem/router from wall socket then wait 30 seconds then plug back in and try again. 👍

Can't connect to wifi even with 400mbps,
I have 5g, will this work with 5g?
Google home is suck. I like Nest app, but I can’t add new cam to Nest App.
Thanks for excellent tutorial!
