Coconut oil as mouthwash for 10 minutes a day whitens my teeth. It also helped my gums. I've had two dentists who were skeptical, but the first one treated me when I had sensitive gums and then treated me after I started swishing coconut oil/ oil pulling. That was the only change in routine. I'm a heavy handed brusher, though I don't try to be. He can confirm it helped my gums. Colgate and he ADA won't say it helps, but I know it helped me.
One heaping spoon, let it melt in your mouth then swish. It is a long time, but it does whiten teeth.
Make sure you spit it out in the trash, outside or in a bottle to be thrown away. If you spit coconut oil into a drain or toilet it will cause a clog☹️, so spit it out in trash or outside.
Coconut oil is also antimicrobial, so it can kill bacteria and other microbes in your mouth.
There are some who claim it can heal cavities. I have no experience with that.
I have a beautiful healthy smile and happy healthy gums. 😀

I started a bleaching in the dentist's office. After the 2nd application the burning was so bad that I stopped the treatment but I still had one more application that needed to be done. When I got home I could see that I still had stains on my teeth. I bought Colgate Optic White Overnight Treatment. This stuff is amazing.
It's a wand that you brush product on at night, it hardens in seconds, go to bed and just brush your teeth in the morning. I believe I paid $37 and it's worth every penny. Here's a little tip. Try your best to keep the brush dry from saliva, I wipe it on a tissue when I am done using it. If the brush gets wet the brush will get hard and be ineffective.

Easiest way to whiten teeth: after brushing your teeth normally, make a paste of peroxide and baking soda in your palm (a tiny bit of peroxide the size of a dime, add baking soda from the box, and mix with your finger; should be a gritty paste). Rub this paste on your front and bottom teeth with your finger. Leave it on for a minute or so and spit it out. Then rinse. Very clean, very cheap, and very white. Takes about two weeks of daily use. Your teeth will glow white 😁

Glad you included the warning about checking with dentists. I think people underestimate chemicals and whitening agents more than they should. While they are effective, there are a few things to keep in mind. I'll include my recommended product below, too:
    1) Some studies show hydrogen peroxide can damage protein in your teeth (in the dentin, the layer beneath your enamel).
    2) If you have sensitive teeth or gums, ask your dentist if it is OK to use hydrogen peroxide, baking soda or an alternative.
    3) Note what else is in your toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. If it has alcohol, keep away from it. While its ingredients may lift stains from your teeth, alcohol dries out the mouth, kills good bacteria, and isn't designed to balance your mouth which is what you ultimately want.
    4) It's important to refrain from brushing right after you eat. Weird, but true. When you consume something, your enamel (like a shield on your teeth) is temporarily weakened. When this happens and you brush, you are aggravating your teeth and gumline. Think of it like using sandpaper on a sunburn. No good!
When I learned this it surprised me, but there is an alternative. You can simply rinse with water or use Oral Snoberts (just Google it).
I also didn't want to use whiteners or mouthwash that was riddled with harsh chemicals and a poison warning label on the back so I switched to them. So far I love it and awesome customer service. Don't think many people have heard of it but it's cool because you can use it right after eating (don't brush) and it neutralizes an acidic mouth. I bring it up because it also helps whiten teeth, so you can add it to your list of options.
    Hope this helps!

    Things I've heard and/or tried -
coconut oil (be sure to spit if you use this, in the trash so it doesn't clog drain)
magnesium oil (doesn't taste good lol), can brush or swish mixed with water
milk of magnesia (if you decide to try this, be sure it does NOT have the bleach sodium hypochlorite, it could make your teeth look gray)
ora md drops with eco-dent tartarguard (currently, my teeth do look whiter after using this)
Dirty Mouth tooth powder (supposed to remineralize, reduce sensitivity) from Primal Life Organics
The magnesium items can also remineralize and reduce sensitivity.
At least one thing all these have in common is NO fluoride, by the way.

I just kept taking it, didn’t pay much attention, then after several months I started to see the hair growth on my hairline and it was substantial. My hair is now softer, thicker and looks so much better. Try it and see how it’ll help you.

($12.99 at the time) My teeth were really bad so I purposely used them overnight for the first application. Then I did the regular protocol. WOW!! it worked great! Then I used the strips as boosters. Now, I use the Crest emulsions with the applicator. Great video!!! Keep them comin'!

I mix 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of baking soda with a drop of peppermint essential oil. Mix it to the consistency of toothpaste. You may have to adjust the baking soda to get it right. Put it in a container, and it usually lasts me about a month. This is the only thing I brush my teeth with. If I have bentonite clay, I put a pinch of that in there, too, to help with the enamel on my teeth.

I saved this video as a resource for products to try. Other than using a not-very effective whitening toothpaste every brushing, I have been too lazy lately about whitening my teeth, there’s a lot of room for improvement! My dentist told me that the treatments he does are not especially better or longer-lasting than the best home products. I don’t really want to sit in the dental chair for so long with all that junk in my mouth, either, I’d rather do it at home, and without special lights. For a few dollars, I got a big box of those dental cotton rolls that soak up saliva while treating teeth, they help a lot and are so much better than drooling!

I will try that Crest kit if I can find it up here in Canada. ;) I wanted to add that my dental hygienist told me last week that fillings won't be affected by any whitening kit so I researched alternatives and saw that Dr. Berg just posted a list of benefits to using Baking Soda. He mentioned teeth getting whiter using this mixed with a bit of water to make a paste. I just started this and will post any whitening progress. I will say, that my teeth are MUCH smoother using Baking Soda instead of toothpaste.

baking soda is great, also mixed with water to rinse after coffee, lemonade or soda which are acidic and you shouldn't brush your teeth while they're acidified. BUT baking soda is gritty and I'd be concerned about wearing off some enamel by using it daily. Have you tried oil pulling with olive oil as Dr Gundry recommends? According to him you don't have to keep it in your mouth for a half hour like others say you do.

My son got married about 4 years ago. My dentist recommended that I try to lighten my teeth a little bit "for the mother-of-the-groom pictures" (a kind way to tell me that my teeth were yellow, I guess!). Mind you, I was 59 years old and had never whitened my teeth in any way. Anyhow, she said for a month or so before leading up to using the 20-day Crest strips, that I use Sensodyne toothpaste to brush my teeth. She said this helps immensely with tooth sensitivity when it comes time to actually use the whitening strips. She was right! It worked perfectly! I had NO sensitivity when I used the strips. Since then, I have used the Colgate Optic White Pro Series toothpaste and my teeth have stayed just as white as they were right after the wedding. I wish I had thought to try this long before the age of 59.

    Hello, this was amazing,.
May I ask if there is any remedy for facial skin tags removal specially under eyes and around the Nick area?
Appreciate your great and noble effort 😊

Um, I drink a lot of ice tea (not sweet tea) and struggle with my teeth being white. In fact I have a dental appointment on the 29th for check-up and cleaning. I also, have sensitive teeth/gums and periodontal disease. I am 55 and want to get my teeth in shape. :-)

@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE Love our Dentist! He is a good guy and is great with the kids and with adults. I guess that's to keep his patients from running away. LOL

Might try drinking it with a straw to keep it away from your teeth more.

ora md is very good for symptoms of periodontal disease, like pockets and bleeding. It's pricey, but it's natural and works according to testimonials. Even the original is very strong mint. They have sales sometimes and you can find it on ebay, amazon.

Thanks for the video and information. I just wanted to say...I agree...they really did discontinue some of these products that worked too well. I used Rembrandt back in the early 2000s. It was incredibly strong and you only had to use it about three days every 6 months. When I bought the product again about 7 or 8 years later it was so weak and really didn't work. They intentionally weakened the product.

I use Opalescence about 2 or 3 times per year. I use the 10% version but it comes in stronger percentages. I use my last Invisalign tray to put the gel in & keep it on a few hours, not overnight.

I used Crest once almost 10 years ago for a week or so, and a friend immediately noticed that my teeth were much whiter. I think it's time to get some Crest again.
