For anyone wondering It spreads the force over the entirety of the screen basically resulting in less of the actual force being focused in one area(usually what causes a cracked screen)

i dont see a point in doing a drop test, its made to spread the force from one spot to entire screen, if you drop a phone the force is already spread (asuming your droping it on a flat surface)

Glass screen protectors are not designed to protect from drops. They are designed to protect the face, and typically when you drop your phone you do it on it's side. That's what cases are for.

Thats just theory. If u r used to hammering flat surface, u will know most of the time the force will be focus on the edge, creating a crescent-like shape on the flat surface. It almost impossible to get the hammer surface and the flat surface in parallel when in contact since it is done in a swing motion
