I had to come back and leave another comment. After watching several other crafters I have to tell you your idea of trimming the grid and then placing it back for alignment was the best idea I’ve seen so far - and one I’ll incorporate.
I have never been totally satisfied with my Misti’s. This new tool may be the answer for me. I’m looking at as many video’s by different crafters to hear and see what they think. Compare and contrast.
Interesting new tool, and I love your grid tip. Stampwheel wasn’t even on my radar until I saw this video. Now I need to think about this as a possibility.🤔 Your card turned out lovely.😍
The idea of trimming down the grid in the background hence the sticky mat still adheres is golden! I saw all the card makers tout the stamp wheel when it first came out but I only see them utilise the MISTI in their videos ever since. I do own both.
Thank you! Yes, I have noticed that as well. I do see Simon Hurley use his quite often. It's hard as a content creator because you want to show people new things that you love, but you also want to show content that people are interested in and can relate to. I think there are a lot of people with a MISTI, so you will probably see a lot of creators continue to use the MISTI. Plus, the MISTI has been around for a long time and creators get comfortable with a product. I plan to use both. You will see me continue to use the MISTI for the next couple of videos though because they were filmed before I had the chance to record with the Stampwheel. 🙂
@@DreamCraftCreate Thanks for your honesty and point of view, and you are correct Simon does use his plenty! I am new to your channel but I am loving it, it is very creative and inspirational.
Beautiful card and as always you give the best info in such an easy way to follow :) :) :) Now I wish I would have held onto that grid when unpacking my StampWheel. I do use mine a lot but still use my Misti, depends on my mood lol
I just ordered the sticky mat to go in my SU Stamparatus. Thanks for the tip on applying the grid! I have a feeling it will be a game changer. Beautiful card, too!
I’ve had the stamp wheel in the box for months, I guess it’s time to break it out. The tip for the grid was wonderful, thanks for sharing. My question is do you really need those pieces that line up the cards?
Awesome review, Charlene!! I've been on the fence about ordering the Stampwheel as well since I own multiple stamping platforms already, but I think you may have just convinced me to get one.
Great tip on the grid! I can't get even images, the outter inch is hard to get good transfer. I also can't really use cling/rubber stamps, there is nothing to align or anchor the paper. Any tips?
Thanks! 🙂 I don't use a lot of rubber cling stamps so I had not thought about that aspect. I checked Altenew's website and they said that when using rubber cling stamps you should remove the sticky mat. I would tape the paper to the base with some low tack tape or repositionable dot runner. I'll have to give it a try myself. As far as not getting a good transfer the outer inch, I'm guessing that because it is farther out on the plate, more pressure is required to get the necessary contact with the paper. I tend to stick with using the inner part of the wheel so I haven't encountered that issue.
Eh. I think I’ll stick with my Tonic. I like that I can stamp the inside of my card, even if it’s already done on the outside. A huge plus for me. Even the Misty can’t do that!
@@DreamCraftCreate I guess what I meant to say is that I like having the edge on only two sides, so the paper can hang off the other side without it needing to fit within the borders. It gives me more freedom as far as the size, even for 12x12 paper. I think it’s what you get used to.
I was looking at sticky mats...I felt the prices were so grossly elevated, I refused. Sorry but I think this gadget is also overly priced. I have to wonder if ppl actually need much of this stuff! I dont.
Hmm. I can see you enjoy working with it. But you also said you wouldn't have bought it. Would you have bought it with real money after trying it out? You're not quite clear about that. Saying "if you can afford it" is not all that helpful to me. Should I get it if I can afford it or is it just something to spend my money on if I don't have any other ideas? I'd rather buy ... in that case.
Yes, I would purchase it with my own money. I try not to tell anyone whether they should purchase something as everyone’s circumstances are different. 🙂

It was a fantastic idea. I do have to say, though for $100 you should not have had to do it. It should’ve already been done for you.
That grid tip was so useful, thank you! It makes the tool that much more efficient.
Yay! Glad it was helpful! 🙂

Thanks for the great instructions on adding the grid!
You bet! 🙂
Great tip on putting the grid on the back! Thanks for sharing ❤

Thanks, Rebecca. I was impressed. They did a nice job designing the Stampwheel. 🙂

Oh no! Well if you ever buy a new mat or buy one of the low tack mats, be sure to hold on to the grid. 🙂
What a fun tool! So many possibilities for it! The card came out gorgeous 😍🥰😍
Thanks so much! 😊
Beautiful card! And great presentation.Hmmm.

Thanks, TR! I hope you are doing well. 🙂

I love love what you did with the grid!! The stamp wheel is on my list of crafty must haves.
Yay! Thanks! 💕

Thank you! I do not find myself using the pieces that line up the cards since I have the grid in place. 🙂
Lovely card and the stamp wheel seems to work just great. 💕😊
Thank you! 💕
I recently lost a pin from the hinge of my Misti so I was going to get a new one, but now I'm considering this stamp wheel. TFS 🥰
I’ve been using mine a lot. 🙂 Is there a replacement pin that you can buy online?
@@DreamCraftCreate I did contact the company but, unfortunately I have the original model and they don’t offer parts for it.
Darn! 😕
Great review and lovely card. 🇨🇦🥰
Thanks so much!
on my wish list. love the grid matt and alternate grid sheet for lighter card stock
Hi Charlene,
Love the concept of your card but thought the size of the vellum took away from the wreath. TYFS.
Thanks for watching. 🙂
❤ do you have a tutorial or review with stamp wheel using Stencils?
Not specifically, but I do use stencils with the Stampwheel in this video: th-cam.com/video/GpHVjEoi5pg/w-d-xo.html 🙂
Brilliant thankyou

@@DreamCraftCreate I bit the bullet and ordered one. Now I just have to try and be patient waiting for it to arrive. LOL

Does the mat stay sticky?
Yes, the mat stays sticky. You do have to clean it off every once and awhile, but the stick comes right back. 🙂
Thank you, how do you clean?
@@deborahanne9793 The same way you clean a regular clear stamp. I just spray some water on and use my stamp shammy. 🙂
Thanks.

Thanks for watching. 🙂 I usually stamp the inside of the card once it’s finished with my standard sized Misti or an acrylic block.
