Thanks Simon for this demo. I think the center alignment guides is something I will be purchasing. Just bought the Stampwheel. I know im gonna have fun creating! Ciao
I appreciate your giving us some insight into using these new products. I saw the Stampwheel when it was first introduced and, to be honest, I can't see what I'd gain over my MISTI. Maybe if I didn't already have both sizes of that stamping platform in addition to both sizes of the TIM HOLTZ platform, I'd order one, but I can't justify buying one more platform. In addition, the Stampwheel creates a fairly large "footprint" and my work area is crowded enough already. I have dozens of Altenew stamp sets, many of them layering stamps, but I rarely use them because of the difficulty lining them up. The Stampwheel offers a solution to that, but it wouldn't really help with the older stamp sets that aren't marked with the + for alignment on the Stampwheel. Maybe, at some point in the future I'll bite the bullet and order the Stampwheel, but I don't expect to see any meaningful decrease in the price. Your video is very helpful in showing the potential of the product. Thank you.
I enjoyed your review and thoughts about the Stampwheel. While I probably won't be getting one, I now am more informed about it should I be able to get one. Plus, how awesome is Altenew!? Those layering stamps where the flowers and leaves were all on one stamp -- genius! I'm glad you used the sticky mat as a stamp. I kept thinking as it is photopolymer that you could do that. Or perhaps the Stamping Foam...hmmm. Thanks again Simon!
I have been on the fence about the Stampwheel because of the price. I have 4 Mistis, in all the sizes, that have worked well for me. What caught my attention in your video though, was about the turn about stamps. I LOVE TURNABOUT STAMPS. I do sometimes have an issues sometimes getting them to lineup the way I want them to in the Misti. I would have to decide whether the price justifies getting perfect lineups for my turnabout stamps. Lol
Thank you, Simon! Your demonstration evaluations are the best! Very informative and unbiased information that really helps us make a wise decision regarding new products! And your products are terrific too! Thanks!
Great cards. And I’m glad you did another video, showing more techniques for the stamping wheel. However, for me, and again, I am stressing for me, the cost does not justify what this stamping wheel can do. It is just way too expensive. Thank you for sharing. 😊🤗
I agree. The cost is very prohibitive for so many people. I live on a very small fixed income, it would take me forever to save enough to get this One thing about taking that long to save is that the price may change. Changes can be good or bad(re: price decrease vs cost increase)
Great demo Simon. Love the look of the Altenew Stamp Wheel and that Altenew has made their stamps work with the wheel. I use Fiskar scissors like yours they are so great for fussy cutting. Your cards are stunning.
Thanks for the follow-up video Simon. This is the second time I've watched it as I didn't think I was going to get the StampWheel but a company made me an offer I couldn't refuse this weekend. I did have to get the alignment guides elsewhere so I used your link but I think they're a necessary accessory. Thanks for all your tips, especially the one about the stencils. Now, if only I can remember it when the time comes.
Dear Simon, Thank you so much for this video. It was extremely helpful and informative. You answered all my questions about the Stampwheel. It is my #1 purchase. ❤❤❤ Can’t wait to try it with the turnabout stamps! I love all your cards and it is ALWAYS hard to pick a favorite however this time I will. It is the Delightful Day card. It is a beautiful stamp set that your inks made even more beautiful. Thank you for another great video!
Hi Simon, Love watching your video's. You explain things so well. It makes it a little easier. Love your beautiful cards. My next purchase will be the stamping wheel.
That is awesome that Altenew will start releasing their laying stamps to work perfectly with the stamp wheel. I am rubbish with layering stamps. Thanks for sharing
Pretty sure I’ll be adding the Stampwheel to my tool kit soon! Although it is quite large, the fact the ‘lid’ flips completely over for inking means it takes up no extra space like door style platforms do. I love the idea of the sticky mat that won’t lose its stickiness too. Thanks for your demo!
I don't have the stampwheel yet, but watched both of your informative videos on it. It is an incredible new tool. I love watching you as you are so informative and fun. I finally have all your stamp colors and they are awesome. Easy to clean up also. Thnx for all your help and advice!
I always have trouble with layered stamps, I just can’t line them up well. It will be interesting to see if other companies start doing this. I guess it may depend upon how popular the stamp wheel becomes. If I didn’t have a Misti, I’d probably buy this instead. But, at this point, I can’t justify the cost.
Ok, you sold me on it. I had been on the fence, but you doing the turn about stamp was when you got me. Then that new altenew flower that works with the stamp wheel, I ordered it. Thanks again Simon for all your beautiful designs and going outside the box and using the stamp grid for a card! Super cool.
I just received mine today. I’m glad that you mentioned that the corner notches loosen up over time as I thought the plate had not been cut correctly and was super tight.
Those Peony's were beautiful. Instead of black (or dark gray) for the "details", I would love to see a color that went with the Peony color. For instance, rather than black or dark gray for the pink Peony, what about a darker pink or a red shade? The same goes for the yellow Peony and the leaves as well. Perhaps a darker yellow or an orange for the yellow Peony and brown for the leaf detail. I'm SO tired of black for outlines,, sentiments, etc.!!! If I decide to get some of the layering stamps (so far I've not purchased any) I'm going to give it a try! You've done an excellent job demonstrating the stamp wheel. Thanks so much as it has really made a big impression! By the way, the grid "stamp" and finished card looked great! That grid was so fun. TFS!
I love how thorough and articulate you are. I was on the fence on this but now I am gonna get for my birthday. Thank you so much and congratulations on your success!
Thank you for sharing your tips. Unfortunately, too much rotating and lining up to try and get it right with the stampwheel! I love Tim Holtz stamping platform and I really love The Stamparatus by Stampin Up! Both are so easy and the outcome is awesome without much thought! For those reasons, I have no desire to purchase the Stampwheel. I love your dye colors! Great work!
So much great information, mine is ordered, waiting for shipment. I love the layered flower cards, the dark gray ink is beautiful as the final layer, and provides a softer look that I like
Beautiful cards, I can really see myself just purchasing the pad, I currently have 3 stamp positioners the Misiti , Tim Holtz and the We r memory keepers . Between them I can do everything. But love the idea.
Great video Simon; you answered a lot of questions! I like the fact that Altanew put the + in the center of the stamp sheet. That would be helpful with other positioners also! ❤
Thank you for a terrific, informative video! I am quite happy with the stamp platform that I have right now, but could see using just the sticky pad by itself. Nice that they sell it separately! I know a lot went into this product to get it to market, but the price feels pretty steep. Btw, love your inks and lunar pastes…I now have all that are available, plus the reinkers! 🧑🏼🎨😀
I've heard some minor complaints that the grid isn't very visible, and folks wish that it were printed underneath. I wonder if it would be useful to ink up the textured side of the grid once with an ink that *does* stain, so that once you flip it over you kind of get that grid showing through a bit more.
This video was hypnotic as, a trained session… jesus. This is really interesting as someone who sees the world so animated, and, im not joking this makes me really want to create and use card stock papers to craft THIS THING IN MY BRAAAAIN
I was really excited when the Stamping wheel came out as I am lously at layering stamps. Sadly, the Stamping Wheel didn't fix the layering problem. It's real value isn't helping you get your layers correct, but allowing you to make exactly the same multiple images. If I had understood how the Stamping Wheel worked I would not have purchased it. Currently, I just use the sticky mat.
Great cards Simon! Do you get any over stamping when stamping the same color more than once in the same place? Would you use this instead of your Misti for wimple stamping?
Beautiful cards and great demo! Thanks for answering questions! I was wondering if that Altenew rose stamp would fit in the Misti because it looked really big?
It looks like a cool tool. However I'm gonna stick with my current stamp positioner Because the cost of the stamp oil is just too much for me. I also don't like that it's 2 pieces and not hook together Which I realize is the whole idea behind the stamp wheel but I don't like that. I appreciate your time and demonstrating how it all works.😊
Hi Simon! I have three of the well known stamp pads - they just don’t stamp well - on one of them, no matter what you do, it won’t stamp a certain area - you can move to another stamp pad and it works fine - so it isn’t me - each one has something about it - this one sounds interesting - is there a better way to remove the factory film without using your fingers?
Hmmm… I don’t know of a better way to remove it than with your fingers. You could try cleaning the stamp with stamp cleaner before using it. I find that with the photopolymer made by stampers anonymous (which is the manufacturer I use for my stamps with Ranger) they don’t have as much of a coating. :)
If you have a MISTI, or any brand of stamp aligner, I really don’t think you need it. I believe it’s one of those things you will hardly use and I won’t be purchasing one.
Hi friends! Leave a comment letting me know your thoughts and which card is your favorite. :)

I’m going to wait until the price goes down by half. It’s just not worth the cost right now for me. I love your ideas you shared. Tks!
Wow, quite expensive. I agree.
Soon others will came out with something similar and less expensive 😊
Agreed. Way too expensive.
It was really nice watching this because, as a beginner, I am still deciding on my big purchase items. Now I feel like my questions were answered!
Thanks Simon for this demo. I think the center alignment guides is something I will be purchasing. Just bought the Stampwheel. I know im gonna have fun creating! Ciao
Thanks Simon! Great follow-up video! 21:56
Great tips, Simon! I just got the original stampwheel and am excited to try it out!

This card is bright and cheery. Thank you for showing how to use the Altenew wheel with such great results!
I enjoyed your review and thoughts about the Stampwheel. While I probably won't be getting one, I now am more informed about it should I be able to get one. Plus, how awesome is Altenew!? Yes! I’m sure they’ll do some more sets like this. Makes it super helpful. :)
Fantastic review! I purchased mine with my eyes closed. Now their open! Lol so when it arrives I maybe able to operate it! Thanks as always !
Good morning, Simon! Happy to see you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the stamp wheel. And for sharing your card-making talent. 🥰

Yay!! So glad you are loving my videos and inks, Pat. Hugs!!
I was thinking about this for Christmas, now I know it’s gonna be on my list 👏👏👏Thanks for a great review 👏❤️👏
Last card was my fav. Your videos on the stamp wheel are wonderful and so informative. Thank you so very much!!!
The Misti was the first of its kind, now every company sells a stamp positioner. I'm pretty sure the stamp wheel won't be the last of its kind
That looks like a really cool and helpful tool. All of the cards look amazing!
Thank you, I had no idea Altenew had stamps that you could rotate to get the image. Just a great concept.😊
Ok, you sold me on it. I had been on the fence, but you doing the turn about stamp was when you got me. Then that new altenew flower that works with the stamp wheel, I ordered it. Thanks again Simon for all your beautiful designs and going outside the box and using the stamp grid for a card! Super cool.
Yay!! You are gonna love it. :)
Great demo! This is my favourite purchase in 2023 (so far, anyway) and I can't wait to try it with the turnabout stamps!

Such a useful video Simon. The card with the roses is absolutely stunning!
I love how thorough and articulate you are. I was on the fence on this but now I am gonna get for my birthday. Thank you so much and congratulations on your success!
I like the design of the top....I think it will help reduce getting ink in places you did not want.
Thank you for sharing your tips. Unfortunately, too much rotating and lining up to try and get it right with the stampwheel! I love that grey angle card.
So much great information, mine is ordered, waiting for shipment. I love the layered flower cards, the dark gray ink is beautiful as the final layer, and provides a softer look that I like

Simon, thanks for doing this update on the Stampwheel!! Your cards came out beautiful!! 😍

Great job on explaining the stamp wheel and your so good at stamping!❤
Thank you!!

Hi Simon. I hope you’re having a great day.
Great video Simon. Mine arrived & I am loving that I don’t have to use anything to get a good stamping.
Looking forward doing turnabouts stamps.
Thank you Simon. So helpful!👍❤️
Thanks for the video. I got my stamp wheel a little over a week ago but haven’t used it yet. I need to play with it this weekend
I was looking for a replacement of my mini MISTI and I stubble on your video... here new needsssssss!!! 😂
Loved your floral card! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the stamp wheel!❤️
Thank you for all this great information!

With the grid under the sticky mat, could you use the plastic grid that comes on the sticky stamp mat when it is in the original packaging?
Awesome demonstration!
Thx so much for sharing… great video!
I just ordered it 😊
Didn’t think I needed the new stamp wheel until watching this video 😂
Thanks....great video!
Hi Simon do you know if Altenew has more of the new style layering stamps? I couldn’t see any of their site. Not even the one you used.
I can't find a link where you added those grid lines inside?
Simon if you were on a limited income and you need a good stamp platform and stencil tool and can only invest in one what would you get?
💜 Exquisite pieces but the, crown me could give birth to existed overlooked from the latest card though. 💜
🤩 great tips. Still on my wish list 😊
Good question! I’m not at home to measure, but it definitely would be difficult in the MISTI because of the rotating nature of the stamp. :)
@@simon.hurley thank you for the response!
Great video. Thank you.
So, is it worth buying if you currently have a Misti?
Thank you

I have the same issue
I always use a microfiber towel. I just rub until it looks foggy and then I know the coating has been removed.

How do I get one of these in Australia pleas
Thank you for tips
Why would you not put the grid that you pulled off under the polymer for a guide. Would that not work?
I bought one but not that excited about it probably because I don't know ow how to use it
Awesome Susan! Check out this video for all of the basics about the Stampwheel: th-cam.com/video/QGGyT3hrUQQ/w-d-xo.html
❤❤ , obrigada.
❤❤❤
It looks a good tool but it’s very expensive so I won’t be purchasing
