    There are so many paths to form France, the only advantage there is to start as France instead of tagswitching into it is your starting position, if you want to be a powerhouse it is just better to tagswitch into it. France being an endgame tag, funnily enought, makes France the worst France.

    Great video! I love playing Provance. I would like to add, a lot of people miss out on the really strong move of vassalising Provance when playing other nations. The free cores on Naples mission is available even as a vassal. Very strong opener for getting into Italy.

    I've got a video suggestion: you can delay taking the 100 years war mission as England, allowing you to set up all the English missions. Then you activate the 100 years war mission, keep the popup open, do the English missions and use the popup to go for Angevin ideas.

    Also love to play as Provence. Its mission tree is one of those old pearls. Maybe the best minor tree to start with in europe. Its not as stacked and op as all the new major trees but you pick up some really good perma bonuses and you re in a great position to switch into Sardinia-Piemont for even more goodies.
    For the start i prefer to get the cores on Naples. That requires the aragonese king to not die too early which means maybe some Alt+F4. Cause as soon Naples is free you can attack them while they have no allies and full annex them. The result is a huge jump in power for Provence and allows you to sell the land in Lorraine to Burgundy to keep them friendly without issues. And you also save a diplo slot you d have occupied for >50 years.
    But there is even more to it. Getting the neapolitan lands early on also means you can reach the Balkans/Greece quickly to secure a byzantine vassal. Most of the time Epirus is still around at that time and you can release Byz there. Allowing you to sabotage the Ottomans early on so they dont escalate too much.

    Provonce is good, but the best country for this kind of strategy is really Castile, as you can use the whole Spanish missions tree while still being able to tag switch

    • @thestudentYT
      @thestudentYT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From my expierience that is not really that good because the really important missions of the spanish Mission Tree take often until 1600 to complete and some are even locked behind forming Spain (such as the one for the GB PU)

    • @extinctzebroid
      @extinctzebroid ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@thestudentYT The GB mission isn't locked up, all of the missions are available without forming Spain. I even got the Forever Golden achievement in my run. Needing to wait for the age of reformation for the tericos mission was a bit annoying because the reformation was about 20 years late. In theory, it is possible to complete the whole mission tree in 1520 once the age of reformation begins. Maybe not all the colonial missions, but completing all of them isn't super important.

  • @onurfiliz8397

    Actually there is a exploit that resets your agressive expansion with burgundy inheritance so i think best way to play france is going italy after 10 years of game. Annex everything you can core it up or make papal state vassal and then make exploit reset ae. You can change country to burgundy because it will have all provinces as core expect your capital. With this way you can have all italy after 10-20 years of game start. I learned this exploit from PlayMaker.

    • @thestudentYT
      @thestudentYT  ปีที่แล้ว +3
