    OK, so to sum up.
    1. Disinherit your heir to avoid Navarra. -50 Prestige.
    2. Return Urgell to Catalonia to delay the Peasant's Republic event. -10 Prestige.
    Note: To keep Naples loyal, you may need the Burgher loyalty privilege and to Support Loyalists.
    3. Get a queen consort (if it becomes necessary.)
    4. Get a child heir.
    5. Let your king die. Do not stab up to retain the negative stability. (Presumably the first step is accelerated because your king is a general, and the second can also be obtained by a No-CB on Byzantium or Epirus.)
    6. Get the Iberian Wedding. This is possible because of a queen regency.
    7. Take the mission for a Union CB on Portugal.
    8. Take back Urgell in order to allow the mission to flip to a peasants' republic.
    9. Flip to a peasant's republic.
    10. Take the average monarch lifespan gov reform.

    • @Skrymaster
      @Skrymaster ปีที่แล้ว +12

      step 7 and 8 can be done in any order, as you still get restoration of PU cb on portugal as republic from the mission tree... but ideally you should make sure to let Portugal get exploration ideas first before PU-ing 'em, as if you PU them before they do, they will no longer go colonial, which wouldn't be desirable.

      - Best CB Byz at start and also delay it until you get burgundy inheritance.
      - Take all mana privilege, Increase levies. Estate statutory rights when prompt (Remember to revoke this when you can). You will get all the land back from nobility when you switch to Present republic. easily 90%+ crownland afterward.
      - You can switch back to Monarchy (or Theocracy) later
      - You won't get spanish mission if you form with Aragonese as your main culture. Switch your main culture and/or form something else first.

      Legendary conqueror is essentially 2.5 unrest reduction (applies in already-conquered lands before he became leader too)+ small extra mil buff you don't really need, so can be seen as a juiced up version of the "protector of the little folk" trait
      He doesn't have "careful", but that's a good thing, AE reduction is borderline useless if playing Manchu in the region and then later unifying China, whereas it's very powerful in Europe.
      Now... as for the 25% Average Monarch Lifespan, if you form Qing, you COULD pick one of the meritocracy options that gives monarch lifespan increase, if you really wanted to.
      If you CHOOSE to make him a general, he will ofc last less. Note that you DON'T HAVE to make him a general, and you get the 20% siege ability and +1 combat dice roll for attacker REGARDLESS of whether he's leading the armies or not, it's a "ruler modifier", so you can see it as a temporary country buff, and it becomes available after you complete the seven grievances mission.

    Hey man I came up with a way to make Byzantium a vassal without no-cb if you are interested

    • @thestudentYT
      @thestudentYT  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yes...
      Is it about letting them getting full annexed and then release them from the Epirus Province?

    • @markpayne5892
      @markpayne5892 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@thestudentYT Sort of but the exact strat I use is setting Arta as a province of critical interest so Naples frabricates a claim then full anex Epirus without coring either province, then build spy network on byzantium and make a claim on Athens that way you can declare for athens and have enough war score to vassalize byzantium and take athens in the same war. Then give the 2 Epirus provinces to Byzantium and athens after the war. You can also wait for otto to dec byzantium for defensive war but i usually recoup the declare on otto after.

    • @thestudentYT
      @thestudentYT  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@markpayne5892 Okay but how relyable does Naples actually make that claim and how long does it take? And what do you do if the Ottomans are faster with conquering Byzantium? And what do you do if Alfonso dies early and Naples gets insane liberty desire?
      Don't get me wrong: That is a reasonable tactic and I tried it myself already as well (but Naples simply didn't do any claims in that game) but I guess that the No cb tactic actually only exists to have a fully controlled Path to beat the Ottomans with minimal cost of ressources which "Time" might be the most important Ressource in that idea and relyability would be the 2nd important Ressource...
      And both of these Ressources are not there anymore with your tactic (at least not as much)
      But tbh imo it might just be the best strategy to not care about byz at all in the Beginning and instead conquer Granada, Tunis, get Castile PU asap, take Portugal, maybe weakening France first time already and so on (basically focus on internal and western stuff first) so that you simply outscale the Ottomans and following your Missions more efficiently

    • @markpayne5892
      @markpayne5892 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@thestudentYT Naples will make the claim as fast as you could make the claim, (you can build a spy network with another non rival country to get the around about time I usually build on Tlemcen) then sit on diplo map mode to see it pop up as long as it is the only claim Naples can make he will do it. This strat work almost every time for me but sometimes Otto declare before you but then release byzantium from arta after otto full anex. Naples the first thing I do is start improving relations from first month. It is usually enough with support loyalist you dont get to pay off debt much as they are in Italy. You dont really need Naples to beat Epirus or Byzantium just build a bunch of galleys like 10 more they are cheap. After Naples makes the claim on Arta I get them to make the claim on Ragusa so you can reset Truce with Otto easy.

    • @LibertyMonk
      @LibertyMonk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are Pulse events, Triggered Events, and MTTH events. The first set, Pulse events, trigger once a year (or every two years, etc, depending) and a random event is chosen from the set when the pulse day happens for the nation & year.
      Triggered Events happen when you complete a mission, or decision, or finish a siege monument etc. Some thing happens, and an event is triggered. Some events trigger after a set delay.
      MTTH events are basically delayed trigger events with a random delay. MTTH is always written in month format (as far as I've seen), and it checks more frequently than monthly, but not daily. While the conditions are met (for example, you have 102% Overextension) the events have a chance to roll.

    AI Castille declares war against Granada, blocking Iberian Wedding because of the not a war leader rule.
    Granada is allied to Morocco and Tunis. Their fleets first defeat Castille's fleet.
    Castille calls Portugal into war who wins the naval war.
    Then Castille gets stuck sieging 1 fortress at a time for like 900 days each and the war takes on for like 10+ years without AI Castille peacing out.

    @gothia1715 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This strat while being great has big downsides and thats both Portugal and Castille wont colonize for you and you wont be able to get the burgundian inheritance.
    On a monarchy Aragon game while waiting for Castille and Portugal to reach Admin 5 i focus on cutting down the Ottomans early by feeding a Byz vassal. And i feed Burgundy french land to make them as chonky as possible before i inherit them. When i got the other iberians colonizing for me as subjects i just eat up Italy, the rest of France and northern Africa. Putting me into a position for an early Rome.
    I know this title shouldnt get taken too serious. But i think monarchy Aragon is still superior. The republic is just better on short term with that first ruler. He will still die and then you re stuck with average 522 rulers.
