Growing Monstera in Water is super easy. You can propagate these in vases, glasses, and terrariums and have them as a centerpiece.
If you have purchased a plant from a nursery or a garden center, it will come in soil. From that plant, many stems can be propagated and grown in water.
Finding a node 3-4 leaves after the growing tip and take a stem cutting with a clean pruning shear.
Place the cut end of the stem in a jar or vase in an upright position. A tall vase will work best for this plant.
    Monstera Plant Care in Water
Place the vase in a location that receives bright, indirect sunlight. The plant does not like intense, direct sun, and too much exposure of it will burn the leaves.
The water should be changed often when growing monstera. Every 3-5 days or sooner, if the water becomes discolored. A transparent container will allow you to keep a check on the water level and root development.
You can feed the plant using a balanced liquid fertilizer. Add a pinch of fertilizer in one quart of water and use it once a month. In case of confusion, follow the instruction at the label for the dosage!
    Where Do You Keep It?
Your water grown monstera plant can be an excellent tabletop centerpiece. Keep it on a narrow decorative jar on your desk, coffee table, shelf, kitchen countertop, plant stand, or wherever you like-It’ll look suitable everywhere.

How long should I let the roots grow before planting it in a well draining mix...... have read mixed things from let the root system really develop so it will be well established and also don't let the roots get too big because then the plant will have trouble adjusting to a soil/bark mixture! Thanks for any feedback.

I've had my monstera cut for 2.5 weeks in water & one leaf is turning yellow. I checked the roots and some ends have become mushy. Can they stay in water a long time or need soil immediately?
