I can sure appreciate these tips as well. I'm an admin for a Michigan Antique Farm Tractor sale group. It's hard enough to get legit members to even read and follow group rules these days. Scammers are sure a challenge. Thanks for the advice!

This is why I only buy from local sell/swap groups. I got scammed when I was 16 selling my old Yamaha xj.
I recently got a Allis Chalmers mower and have had a heck of a time finding any information on it.
I know nothing on it

Only online buying I do is through Ebay or Amazon.
The world's a mess... Something cool people can do would be to ask seller to send a picture but include something unique that only you buyer and seller would know that the seller could put in the picture like a message written on piece of paper along with part etc.
That doesn't always work though cause they've been photoshoping in their names on a piece of paper. Some people have been requesting that they hold up a certain amount of fingers in the photos with the item
Some people should really just sit down. Bunch of losers.
If you think they might be a scammer selling parrs, ask them if they have a water pump for an allis chalmers g 😂
I don't care how legitimate a deal looks, if someone wants a down payment or anything similar it's a pass for me.
