1960's Allis Chalmers Oil Filter "Rust"oration

We found one of the family's old used 1960's vintage Allis Chalmers oil filters from their long-gone D-14 laying in the machine shed. Watch us perform a "Rustoration" on it and clean it up to make it look more presentable to display on the shelf along side our other Allis Chalmers treasures. It's either a homage or a rip off of all those youtube restoration videos.

They must be, at least, 3 to 4 dollars back then, now they are 20 to 24 dollars today where I live. My, have the times changed....for the worst. 🕷

Years ago I heard of someone taking the inners out of the old style filters and putting in new from a new filter and making them new again. I haven't tried it, Ive just been painting them, and adding the filter decals. I bought some of the mic decals somewhere, and wish I had bought more. I haven't seen that type since. Steve Wacker's arent the mic type.
