Hey I hear you... if you can ever overcome it.... the reward is so worth it... just always remember the people you're trying to meet often feel same way and in the end they just want to play games... gl!
Absolutely true! And when you're going to a board game meetup or a game night at a library or somewhere, everyone's looking for new people to game with and you're that new person! ☺ Just gotta step out of that comfort zone from time to time!
Thanks, Moosemabob! It's something I have to remind myself of sometimes but I've grown very comfortable with telling people that I love and play lots of board games and even make TH-cam videos about them! 😅 It's something I'm passionate about and honestly if you own it I don't think many people will give you a hard time about it!
I totally understand the social anxiety of going to an event where you might not know anybody but board game people are honestly the most kind and welcoming people I've ever met! ☺ Maybe get one friend to come with you and you'll feel much more comfortable! You can do it! 🥳
Really? There are so many board game TH-camrs and content creators from Canada that I've gotten the impression that everyone up there plays board games! 🤣
Great tips! Love the theme ideas. My terrible idea (not actually done): Me: “Hey guys let’s watch Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds and the play Wingspan.” Them: 🦗🦗🦗

"Own the hobby," is such great advice. 👍

Liked this a lot. Thanks for being such an open and engaging person. H00t!
Thank you so much for your comment, Richard! I really appreciate it! ☺
Feels bad to be an introvert. I'll never be able to do any of this
once you get out of your own head youll enjoy yourself try a board game night at local shop best way ive found to get out there with no expectations

Haha! I love that! You've gotta find a way to make that happen! 🤣
I’m pretty shy but I have hundreds of games and wish I could help others enjoy them as well :)
Just gotta step out of that comfort zone, you know? Get out there and make some new board game friends! You can do it! ☺
