- I think the previous owner gave up on this tractor because it had a noisy idler and some loose battery connections. Overall, this was an easy fix. It was also in such nice shape so I didn't have to do much painting on this project. I even pieced together a bagger system for it!
Sir check and see if you need to put washers behind the starter when you bolt it up to the motor
Made it! Great work kyle
Thanks so much!
I'm pretty sure construction adhesive will stick to anything that is clean and dry. I think it cures by absorbing moisture from the air, but I'm no chemist. Don't inhale too much paint spray. Lung damage is a real bummer. I'm jealous of that creek.
Thanks
May I ask how much you get for this series of tractors from craftsman i your area? Here it’s 400-700.
I’d hope to get 600-800 here in CT
The only difference is the length of filter he's all can be attained at your local Walmart most in the even the Walmart super tech man who is 100 times better than a frame
Kyle the mower looks great
I have the same thing wrong with my seat on My craftsman Ys mower it's completely unglued from the metal seat pan
nice job, keep up the good work looking forward to seeing your channel grow
God bless and thanks for your videos
God bless! Thanks
I have had this same unit since 2006 and it has given me ZERO issues other than the same seat issue, LoL. Do you have wood clamps? I found the best economical fix is "Shoe-Goo". Very durable adhesive! Take the clamps to hold the seat in place and liberally apply the Shoe-Goo! Worked like a champ!
when assembly the deck your missing the return idler spring AYP# 169022 , this will help to relax the belt tension
48:10 ....."was this painful to watch? "
Next scene where you scrape everything off was enough compensation 🤣😅
But I would've tried to put a heavy sack of potatoes (or maybe sand) or something on the seat and strap it tight with a few ratchet straps while the glue dries. The seat cushen is clearly slightly deformed from it's seat back.
Yeah, all of those tips probably could have helped. But you’re right, the seat is deformed some- almost shrunken. I think the silicon product will do the trick
To fix the seat for what I would I do is i would try fixing it with spray contact adhesive that stuff almost sticks to any when it dries
True. But filling the gaps was a major concern of mine too
Hey You should’ve went back and handed them another $200 dollars.
The starter might be to close the fli wheel
I cut the filters apart and the Walmart ran do the fram
Some of the cheap starters are junk on eBay or Amazon 😢😢😢
Or even NFL 400 deaths if you have
Play the bonds plastic and rubber
An other option of gluing the seat, use two component epoxy glue. Might do the trick.
I have the same machine. This video was incredibly informative. What size belt is on the deck? I can’t quite find one that fits properly. Btw that Soto comment came to fruition huh lol. Let’s go Yankees.
I’m not sure of the size, but if you search craftsman lt3000 deck belt, it should pop right up
You're seat repair is what we would call in the east a halfass job. Not a fan of this type of repair. Do it right and be done with it.
Sorry
Ouch that squeaking nose is loud
Nice job Kyle on that craftsman lt3000 did some good work on it especially the seat
Thanks John!
Did seat glue up work. I normally put on after market covers about 2o$ on ebay.
It didn’t work. I let it cure for days but I had the machine out in the weather yesterday and the rain dissolved that product. I either need to try again, and make sure it’s completely cured, or get a new seat or cover
You can use a 3614
Windshield blue
For a PA 16 off of
The deck brake wasn't disengaging because the pulley above the spindle is the wrong size! Should be the same size as the other one. You're also missing a return spring.
The spring is there. I’ll look into the pulley size
@@Kylebythecreek cool. I'd be interested to know if it actually was the pulley being too big.
Pull the valve cover and check the valve's lash spacing.
Yup! I did
It looks like you better check breaker for your shop there lights are dimming when trying to start mower
👍
My mower a 16.5 briggs filter- 14.95 plus tax- a walmart equivelant-3.85-- I would not spend 15 dollars for a filter for a mower
Use boards under your clamps.
I’ve used liquid nail and carpet glue
Both work good on seat 😊
Windshield adhesive will never give up
Timing???
Nope! When you get a chance, watch the whole video and you’ll see the result
Can you blur out the ryobi tools? They are offensive
No, I’m not going to do that
Nice job with your mower.
I have 4 kids and they always help me out with teaching me how to fix things. I really enjoy the teaching process.
@@williamalbright8878 glad to hear!
The engine has speeds other than wide open and off.
Thank you
