- How to paint an airsoft gun | Multicam skull camouflage Stencils | Call of Duty | With rattle can spray paint.
This video shows how I created this unique look for my airsoft rifle using canned spray paint.
This is the first paint job I’ve ever attempted so it just shows how easy it is.
I used:
Krylon ultra flat paint. www.ebay.co.uk...
A laundry bag www.ebay.co.uk...
AIrbrush Timbertech® ABPST01 Airbrush Kit - Includes Adapter, Hose, Nozzles and Needles www.amazon.co....
And the stencils where from Etsy. (Search Etsy for skull CAMO). Add a little heat once applies to ensure they stick well.

Just take your time is the best way I’d say. It’s tempting to crack on but let it dry and make sure everything is perfect. Well worth it!

Do you have any recommendations on the colors I should use?
Grey and black sounds cool (sorry English spelling lol). I went with green/brown colours for a multicam load out but that really does sound cooler! I’d say as long as you get flat/matte paint so it isn’t shiny you’d be ok. Something like Krylon or Rustolium? If you don’t like the matte effect when finished you can always apply a lacquer to shine it up? Hope this helps? I’d love to see a picture of the finished product when your done if possible?

We sure do Joe. Believe me you have to as it’s not possible to tell the difference for most. There’s the odd idiot same as in every wallk of life, but mostly people who know.
You can’t just go out and buy one in the U.K. either without a UKARA. Otherwise it comes sprayed bright red or blue 👍

How many hours did you have I. That
I did it in a few goes, it took longest waiting for the paint to dry between each layer. It’s the most patient I’ve ever been with anything ever!!!
I have the same gun but my cannon are to much long... are you cut or change the external cannon?
I cut the outer barrel down yes. I wanted to add a suppressor but thought it looked and felt better like it is.
How do you prevent the paint from chipping over time?
Did you just decant the paint for the cans into the airbrush bowl?
I did yes, literally just sprayed them into the can lid then used the pipette dropper to move to the airbrush. Hope this helps. 😊
Is your gun metal or plastic? How long did you let the paint dry before adding the stencils and between coats?
Hi Chuck,
This is a polymer gun with some metal parts. I followed the manufacturers instructions regarding the period of time I left it between coats. I think it was 24 hours with the Krylon paint I used.

It takes some patience if you use the hexagons as well. You literally have you cut them out with a blade. It’s painstaking but worth it.

If you guys know anyone with a “Cricut “ machine, they can cut them out for pretty cheap. That’s what I used to cut the stencils for the leopard print on the ARP9. It is still tedious laying out all the little stickers but you’re not having to cut each one out.
