great video guys, keep up the good work
But Hagrid was in his third year when he was kicked out of Hogwarts so he wasn't fifteen when he was expelled, but thirteen/ fourteen since he was nearly twelve when he entered Hogwarts.
Snape: Ron's wand causes devistation even with tye simplest spells, we'll be sending Harry to the hospital wing in a match box.
I disagree. Most of Ron's spells back fire. You'll be sending Ron to the hospital wing in a match box.
Isn't devastation exactly what you would wish for a duel?
That's true
They do not always backfire, things like that are incredibly unreliable and there is a chance it could hit Harry or pretty much anyone.
Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 true true
Gosh I hope we see him in Fantastic Beasts! Hagrid is such an awesome character and is honestly one of my favorites. He is so loyal, helpful and noble and I would love if this secret history was true! Great video Ben!
Wotso Videos nooot really
Wotso Videos My goodness. You watch this channel too. I love your channel.
Wotso Videos You three should collab!!! If you do, I would love to watch it
Hey, just watched your Magic Carpet video. Really interesting, I just shared it in the comments asking if SCB could cover the theory also. Hope you don't mind. If so I can delete it. No problem. They probably won't do it anyway, lol...
Wotso videos
You lose in this theory race
Hagrid: You're a unit of power, Harry!
Harry: I'm a Watt??
hahaha.
heheh lame but I love it xD
Well done sir
Hagrid: Your an unoriginal joke, Comment
Comment: I’m a watt??
I hate you
Caffeine. His shirt is the molecular structure of caffeine.
Thats halarios!
Yeah I know I spelled that wrong.
Thank you. I was wondering.
I came to the comments just to find out if someone knew. Thanks George.
Ironically...they have there own coffee brand!
I was wondering about that, thanks!
Why wasn't Hagrid ever cleared of all charges and given back a wand??? A lot of things slide in the wizard world. You'd think Dumbledore- as Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, could get Hagrid cleared.....
aagold76 theres a theory that he goes back to hogwarts after book seven
aagold76 it was Harry's adventure that brought the truth to light, right? Considering no one believed him when he told everyone that Voldemort was back in book 5, I wouldn't be surprised if no one believed him when he said it was Tom Riddle and the baselisk that killed Myrtle.
The skeletons still in the chamber, and ron can open it. The basilisk as a snake and snakes being slytherin is more evidence. Plus I dont think young acromantula are venemous
aagold76 besides kingly shacklebolts minister for magic now so another win
Strictly Speaking, He DID Make Hogwarts Professor
Ollivander personally says that a wizard can use any object to cast spells, the wand just works the best.
Carrie Walsh just made me picture a wizard accidentally grabbing and using a dildo to cast a spell instead of his wand lmfao
Carrie Walsh I can imagine someone trying to decide whether they are going to use a brick or an apple to cast spells today.
Just had a mental image combining Voldie's passionate use of the killing curse on Harry and Mel Brooks' use of The Shwartz from Spaceballs...
Just imagine this: hmm should I use a microwave or a rubber duck to cast spells today?
so then what about James vs Moldy Voldy couldnt James just grab something and delay him maybe letting Lily do something in those few minutes
My biggest gripe with Hagrid getting expelled has to be that no one defended Hagrid by bringing up the fact that killing without leaving behind evidence (the direct gaze of a Basilisk) isn't something Acromantulas do.
Myrtle Warren died from the Basilisks gaze, Tom's accusation was literally the only evidence the school had that Aragog was the killer.
In Britain they don’t care about justice, just resolving crimes to better perception of those in charge. They did the exact same thing to Sirius, just arrested him for a crime so they’d have someone to arrest. It’s one of the minor themes of the book, how no minister of magic is very effective or helpful.
I'd imagine maybe a bit of prejudice due to him being a half giant. We know in the books it's a frowned down upon thing.
I always imagined Voldemort did something to Myrtle's body to make is seem like she was bitten by an acromantula
@@Old_Joseph they arrested Sirius because everyone who knew about the potters hiding knew that Sirius was the secret keeper but the potters secretly changed the secret keeper to Peter pedigrew, so what everyone knew was that Sirius was the only one who knew/ could say
I think Dumbledore tried. That’s why hagrid ending up working at Hogwarts.
I can just imagine Hagrid throwing Aragog and yelling “ARAGOG I CHOOSE YER”
Why the pokemon reference?
*hagrid tilts Pokémon cap*
Twish StarSpeaker cause it’d be funny for him to yell something like that. Not necessarily a Pokémon reference.
Aragog use Acromantula Venom Bite!!!
LOL 😂
Hagrid: You're a wizard, Harry
Harry Potter: You're a hairy wizard
Wow, a 17 year old joke. Congratulations.
This is actually the first time I've heard that joke and I love it
First time for me too, much appreciated
I love this one!🤣
Such a Hufflepuff joke, I'm a ravenclaw but I like it!
Hagrid is the purest, softest character. So, it's always so *chilling* seeing how quietly furious he gets when Dumbledore's name receives slander.
* Dumbledore repairing Hagrid's wand with the Elder wand.
* Newt giving Hagrid Aragog?
* Newt & Hagrid (& hopefully also Jacob, Tina and Queenie) help out Dumbledore in that famous duel.
If Hagrid returns, they better get back Robbie Coltrane. He was perfectly cast.
Fantastic Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald i dont think newt knew hagrid before he got kicked outta school
Fantastic Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald.
Rubeus Hagrid received aragog newt scamander. Love that theory
Robbie passed I believe
Robbiie would be too old to play a 17/18 year old hagrid
Robbie Coltrane is in a wheelchair now, unfortunately. 😕
Or, Dumbledore knew he was innocent, and so secretly repaired his wand with the elder wand and camouflage as a pink umbrella.
Edit: oh, watch the rest of the video, that's exactly what happend 😂
I love the way Dumbledore chose a pink umbrella. So random yet it makes sense.
I already made that fan theory up myself when I was reading books 2nd time but just never spoke out loud.😅😅
@@thejubala1444 Well I guess he'd have to choose an object that someone could carry with them at all times without explanation and is also the correct shape for a wand to be hidden inside (unless the wand was transfigured like stated in this video).
We see the wand in the books though
Not to mention that... you know.... he could get a different wand. Like many others in the series did.
Lack of character
*UMBRIDGE*
Fandom Trash correnction... uHUMbridge😂
Correction: correction
Lock heart is has more character than her and he at least thought him something
*cough cough* ahem.
Yep
Seamus Gorman did a similar theory...both of them are really convincing. It would be super cool if J.K. Rowling's thoughts about the umbrella are a mix between both theories.
I think the two theories add to each other. Like this theory gives some more backstory to the theory Seamus did.
"Lack of character....Umbridge." And I almost choked to death with my tea, laughing.
UMBRIDGE!!!
Hagrid's pink umbrella was always my favourite part of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Especially when he gave Dudley a piggy tail.
to be fair, he was trying to turn him into an actual pig .
if Dumbledore has the elder wand and he knows hagrid is innocent. then just like harry repaired his wand why couldn't Dumbledore secretly repair hagrids wand and make it into a pink umbrella for him. obviously this would happen after his duel when he becomes the master of the elder wand and before the events of the 1st harry potter series
This was my exact thought about 60 seconds into the video.
Chris Grima Lmao I thought tht as soon as I saw this video
Right i thought that this was already a well known theory everyone just accepted as canon
That’s what I thought
The real question is why did Dumbledore make it pink?
The real question is, why isn't he allowed to do magic AFTER he's cleared of all charges in Chamber? Like they know he didn't open it the first time at that point, why is he still not allowed to do magic.
Probably prejudice.
Maybe because he didn’t learn anymore which is dangerous 🤷♀️
I just assumed that Dumbledore with the elder wand fixed it after he became headmaster🧠
The end
Any body else agree
Yes
Yes, because if you watch the video that's exactly what his point was. lol
Yup
Aragog came in the pocket of a traveler... Newt gave Aragog to Hagrid...
Joak or it was Voldemort.
voldemort was 13~15 in that time
BugDc no he was more like 16 or 17
Joak, YESSS
Did he give it to him or did Hagrid take Aragog without Newt's permission?
The other day in class we had to use the word *solemnly* in a sentence so when it was my turn I said *I solemnly swear that I am up to no good*
Then it was very easy to tell who has seen Harry Potter and who hasn’t, the people who had seen the Harry Potter movies giggled and people who hadn’t just sat there confused. It was priceless 🤣👌🏻
Ravenclaw Queen have you read the books?
Nice 👌
Fyrecracker Yep but most the people in my class are mud-bloods so yea
Ravenclaw queen out here saying mudbloods like that doesn't make them the slytherin queen. Movies are trash read the books
LOL!
I have a feeling Dumbledore helped mend Hagrid’s wand in much the same way Harry mended his own wand. Makes sense, seeing as Dumbledore would’ve had the elder wand at that point.
Can we talk about how Jude Law Dumbledore would turn to Richard Harris Dumbledore in just twenty years? 😂😂😂😂😂
サッチSacchi yeah, 20 years passed, that's how.
Umm... Jude Law's Dumbledore is in the 1920's
The same way Ewan McGreger Obi Wan become Sir Alec Guinness Obi WAN IN 20 years? Recasting a role with a younger actor for a prequel.
It's not even 20 years. Richard Harris visits Voldemort at the orphanage, which is only 11 years after the first Fantastic Beasts film. So somehow Jude Law has to age 30~40 years in a decade.
@@won1853 Maybe Dumbledore and Obi Wan got hit with some Force lightning that altered their appearance, kind of like old Palpy. But because they weren't evil it only aged them instead of deforming them.
Hagrid was 13 when he was expelled, not 15. Learned that from your Hagrid quiz video 😜
Patrick Colville I mean I learned it from reading chamber of secrets, but okay....
Hagrid was in his 3rd year of Hogwarts but was technically 14. He turned 14 on Dec 6 of his 3rd year. He was expelled near the end of the school year I believe. But yeah SCB misspoke.
"Hagrid is born 2 years after Tom Ridle" wait... Is Hagrid 75 o.O
He'd be 73...I think
(clap) Yes, yes he is.
Maybe being half-giant slows his aging??
@@markbergin8821 being a wizard, half giant, and just hearty in general means he will live pretty long. Even more than normal wizard lives
Dumbledore dies at like 170 or something, this isn't that huge.
Riddle died before he was 80, he could have lived like twice as long if he just ate right and exercized, but he got too greedy and died before his prime.
I assumed Dumbledore repaired it and told him to hide it in something (he chose an umbrella)
So did I. But being transfigured into a pink umbrella by Dumbledore does make sense. It is qua style totally something he would do, I can't see Hagrid picking that himself. Though by being given that by Dumbledore, he would be very proud and protective of it ^^
I may be wrong, but didn't Hagrid (#swagrid) say that Dumbledore didn't actually break the wand?
@@munchmoo6586 no
@@munchmoo6586 what are you talking about? The ministry does the wand breaking.
@@Soren27 no I know but I thought for hagrid Dumbledore managed to convince them to give it to him then he concealed it in the umbrella? Am I just misremembering the bit that explained it? Maybe it says on pottermore
Loving the Caffeine T-Shirt. That molecule is the basic building block of all intelligent life.
Caffeine is life.
What did Headmaster Dippet say when Hagrid was expelled?
“Expel” iarmus
Why?
I will now commit die
@@f_joyce6941
Its called committing seppuku
"Good Hag-riddance."
*Hagrid notices Harry is an iguana*
"You're a lizard Harry"
*Hagrid gets cold around Harry*
"You're a blizzard Harry"
PowahSlap Entertainmint *Hagrid notices Harry is an owl*
"You've a gizzard, harry."
Why does Newt have a wand, even though he was expelled?
I thought he just ALMOST got expelled
I think that it was because Dumbledore stepped in and vouched for Newt.
I also think it has to do with the year he got expelled. Newt left school in 6/7 (?) year, so he should have passed his o.w.l. exams. Just like Fred and George left school with just their o.w.l.s and they can use magic too. I think the o.w.ls work as a kind of standardized exam to make sure people who use a wand outside the safe school environment know what they're doing. (think about homeschooling - I suppose the ministry of magic would want those kids controlled too)
O.W.L.s - Ordinary Wizarding Level
Kind of like graduating high school.
Because, he took the blame for Rosa (not important tho). It didn't hurt anyone so his wand wasn't snapped but Argog "killed" Myrtle so his wand was snapped.
Boom solved
In Illustraded Edition of books Hagrid's umbrella is basicly a wand with pink conopy added
Wasn't hagrid 13 when he was expelled?
In retrospect, I'm even more incensed regarding Hagrid's expulsion. Not only was it handled poorly (understatement), but Newt Skemander was also expelled from Hogwarts...yet goes on to become a renowned, *magic using* magizoologist. Nothing against Newt, here (I actually adore that character), but grrrrrrrr. 😤
I mean, if the theory that Hagrid is rich is true, then it might've gone well for him in the long run
U guys need a blooper compilation
Absolutely!!
Waaaayyyy back in the day, there was one time where Ben uploaded a video, but he accidentally uploaded the unedited video! So you some him pause, make mistakes, shift on to the different sides of the screen, it was actually so interesting to see! I'm not sure if they had enough viewers at the time so that someone might've saved it as it was quickly taken down and Ben uploaded the real video with the edits and jumpcuts. Still, pretty fascinating.
I believe it is a patreon reward if I remember correctly
As always, fantastic theory; I'd love (in the future) to see you & J somehow colab with other theorists!
OMG YES!!!
Fairytale Folklore
U mean matpat?
Fairytale Folklore well I wouldn't say ALWAYS.... some can be at least a little farfecthed
Fairytale Folklore with seamus Gorman because that would be a dream come true for him cuz he's *always* do the same theories as scb
Fairytale Folklore definitely seamus gorman
I just assumed that Hagrids old wand acted as the core for the umbrella
Didn't Seamus O'Gorman do this exact theory like two weeks ago? "Was Hagrid Dumbledore's Secret Weapon"
I am just hoping the second Fantastic Beasts comes out remotely soon...it will be amazing
It's set for November 2018
rlly omg???
Maddux Morse it will be fantastic...
Beasts and where to find them 2
Sameee
Maddux Morse november 18th 2018 to be exact
I can’t be the only one that laughed when you called the greatest dark wizard of all time a
Dingbat
seamus gordan made a video on this last week-
super interesting theory though
It wasn't last week.....
The reason Hagrid is so touchy about Dumbledore is that Dumbledore was the only one to give him a chance after he was outcast, pretty much like Lupin or Dobby.
Likewise, Dumbledore trusts Hagrid because he is incredibly loyal to his friends, especially of Dumbledore himself.
I'd love to see the young Hagrid in the last fantastic beasts movie though.
I'd turn anyone into a pig too if someone insulted Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore in front of me.
Nah. I'd Go With The 4th Book And Turn Them All Into Fruit Bats
You remembered the name
Well done
Shubham Bhushan I like how you said his full name (Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore)
Shubham Bhushan same
I memorized the name
hey you guys should do a video on why Harry couldn't see the thestrals at first because he saw Lilly die
Mr Malfoy i think it's because, as a 1 year old, Harry couldn't remember the exact scene (in the 1st book he only remembered the green light) and/or he couldn't understand death. Cedric's death was the firsf he could remember seeing and understand.
It wasnt a clear memory, just green light and noise. No actual body. To see the thestrals you had to witness actual death
swamidude I guess thats a fair analysis
Witness, not remember. Harry did witness his mother's death, even if he suppressed it.
Mr Malfoy he saw them after ge saw and remembered Cedric Digory's death.
Jon: HEEEEY BROTHER
Ben: Hey brotherrrrrrrr
😂
lol
i dont know about you guys i am just excited that we will see the wand dumbledore's wand the one he had before the elder wand
Seamus did a theory similar to this and I think part of his and part of this make up the truth. Hagrid shouldn't be as good with his wand as he is because even though Dumbledore repaired it for him he still wouldn't be able to go back to school and learn how to better use it. It's much more likely to me that Dumbledore would have taught him in secret all the spell and charms he would have needed to know, especially since we see Hagrid doing non verbal spells, something he wouldn't have learned how to do until his fifth year.
I still don't understand why Hagrid's wand was snapped in two when he got expelled from Hogwarts and he was forbidden to ever use magic again (officially that is), but Newt still has his wand intact after being expelled from Hogwarts too. How come?!
I'm going to guess it had more to do with the cause of why he was expelled more than the fact that he was expelled
" Lack of character. UMBRIDGE!"😂😂
This is the best HP theory yet and I will actually be angry if it isn't true in the end
Old Blanco Rd Productions yh but watch seamus gormans video on this exact topic before this
Oh my goodness I knew they missed that in the final movie about mending Harry's wand.
It would be such a Fantastic addition to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them if one of my favorite characters Hagrid were to show up. What a great theory!!!
What do you think would happen if Harry never sat with Ron and Hermione that one day on the train?
That would require Harry to go into a compartment that is full, which I don't see him doing.
John Balkin also, Hermione didn't sit with them, she was just helping Neville find his toad. But to answer the question, most likely Harry still would have ended up being friends with them, one way or another.
Time is immutable. Like a river. It'll correct itself.
It's Hagrid who warns Harry about Slytherin, not Ron. So I think he still would've wished not to be put in Slytherin. And also, Harry upon his first meeting with Draco thinks of him as unpleasant. So I seriously doubt that Harry would have shaken Draco's hand anyway. So, Nothing really changes. He just has to get to know Ron later, rather than on the train.
(Of course, maybe their bond isn't quite as strong, i.e. Harry doesn't have a chance to be generous by buying the trolley food for them, and Ron doesn't have a chance to be nice to Harry BEFORE he knows who he is... But I think they'd get there eventually)
Jacob Morejead
I forgot about Draco.
He would be the first person to offer Harry a hand of friendship, and he would have remembered him from Diagon Ally. As Harry never met Ron, someone unpleasant to hang with would be better than no one.
Harry didn't want to be in the same house as Voldemort, that's why he wanted to be in Gryffindor.
I imagine Draco would tell Harry this info, and thus Harry would go to Gryffindor.
Draco and Harry would later become friends/rivals, events wouldn't change much throughout the years until Year 6, which would have a very different outcome.
Personally I think Hagrid's wand works because it's afraid NOT to hahahaha
Karl Nordquist hahahahhhahhahah you got it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
*Trying REALLY HARD to picture anyone that knows Hagrid being legitimately afraid of him.*
WTB parody movie; Fantastic Beasts and How to Cook Them
1:56 harry never won the wand from voldemort. It was his even before voldemort laid his hand on it.
I love this theory and I think you’re very much right. I’ve always wondered though why wands don’t have some sort of reinforcement spell on them so you don’t accidentally break one simply by sitting down
It’s bugging me so bad that I can’t remember what chemical that is on your shirt. 😆
Caffeine
Alexis Harper me too
Alexis Harper Its ok not to know everything.
Cannibal Superstar it’s ok if she wants to know everything too:)
Hagrid is the bakers son from fantastic beasts
Hagrid's father was a wizard and his mother was a giant. Jacob (the baker) is a muggle from America.
I just don't know how all of your theories seem so perfect!
Great work guys. Love the videos.
I like your slotherin pillow👍
I love all the Harry Potter videos
As soon as you put the phrases "transfiguration" and "the umbrella IS Hagrid's wand" together, that was all I needed to hear. I always assumed the wand core was placed inside the umbrella somehow and that was it, but Ben, you are a genius!
Question: after the events of Chamber of Secrets, and Hagrid being framed was proven true, was he pardoned? Was he able to officially do magic again at that point?
EDIT: I remembered that the very next book was the first time Hagrid was the teacher for Care of Magical Creatures. I would guess magical ability of some kind would be a prerequisite for being a teacher, and I doubt the ministry would allow someone convicted of manslaughter, at the least, to be a teacher. So maybe he was, but it's far from a definitive answer.
Tyler Johnson good question!
Given that Hagrid was capable of taking care of magical creatures without the use of magic, I do not believe that being pardoned factored into his appointment as far as skills were concerned. It is more likely that he was pardoned of wrongdoing this time and the rest was swept under the rug given the corrupt and unstable nature of the government at that time (let's face it, it was handled poorly and Fudge cares more about image). Unfortunately, Hagrid's capabilities with magical creatures are, more than likely, due to his giant heritage which means although he is competent, I do not believe his appointment was wise.
Tyler Johnson This question has been bothering me for the longest time. I even tried to ask J.K about it.
It is very much proven that Hagrid was innocent but after that almost nothing is done about it. Yes Hagrid becomes a teacher but he's a teacher of a subject he's been doing since expelled and requires little to no magic. Why not let him go back to learning magic? I'm not saying stick him in charms class with Harry and the rest of the kids but it's obvious that Hogwarts is not the only way or place to learn magic.
There's really no sorry either..this man has been paying for a crime he didn't commit for years! A damn sorry, a new wand and some catch up courses would be nice! I feel like Hagrid was jipped.
Also side question, if a magical student is expelled and can no longer legally do magic how do they not become obscurials? I feel like repressing your magic after you've already started learning to use it would be even worse than suppressing it when you don't know what it is or why it's there....just a thought.
Bookworm _25 Obscurials aren't supposed to live past ten, with the one in Fantastic Beasts being unique. Perhaps past that age, the body can better cope with a magical buildup.
Or JK never expected to take the HP franchise this far.
We have to remember too, that he, being half-giant... was not considered... human, by some wizards. Prejudice made it easier for neglect ... racism, perhaps, which is why Dumbledore offered a job to him, he would have gone homeless.
OMG you guys are amazing! How do you figure these things out?! I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about Harry Potter but it never even occurred to me that Hagrid could be in Fantastic Beasts. You give me a lot to think about! I really hope this theory is true. Love this channel!💜
Newt is clearly the one who gave Hagrid aragog "I arrived in the pocket of a traveler"
This was the first SCB video I ever watched and I'm so glad I found it. I'm now in love with the channel 😂I now immediately open every video as soon as the notification pops up
2:41
I was just waiting to hear him say
"Am I right lads, or am I right lads?"
Ben: which usually has to do with a lack of character
Also ben 1 second later: *UMBRIDGE*
That's a theory that I had never thought of, but works well in the circumstances. I have always assumed that Hagrid's wand was simply concealed in the handle of his bumbershoot, and indeed had been repaired by Dumbledore after he won the elder wand from Grindelwald. But of course transfiguration would be the perfect way to disguise it! Genius!
I don't want to sound cruel; but isn't Hagrid technically a fantastic beast? Since he's Half-Giant
Half fantastic beast.
So a FantBea??? Lol
@@rulersreachfan243 Nah he's just fantastic
Are giants beasts or just a different race of people?
Also what are centaurs... Beasts...a race... Ponymen?
I feel bad for his mother.
If not I feel bad for his father getting squashed
(Human parent)
Never insult Album Dumbledore in front of me
With a pink umbrella in his hand 🤣🤣🤣
Album?
ummmm, isn't his restrtiction on magic using lifted after book 2? when Riddle is proven to have been the offending party?
Make an updated version of the Pixar Theory! Maybe at the end of the year after Coco.
For a moment I thought I saw this video on Seamus Gorman's channel. No-no, it can't be true, no one is stealing content from anyone else...
This fits so well, especially because of the video you guys made of what house Hagrid was sorted in. In that video you said that Hagrid said that Hufflepuff was actually a pretty decent house to get sorted into, which would fit so well since Newt is in Hufflepuff.
What if Dumbledore just used the elder wand to fix it
Zbionix / Caleb H. did you watch the video? 'cause that's what he says in the end lol
Zbionix / Caleb H. That's the most logical explanation. Dumbledore was awesome and would totally give Hagrid secret magical allowance even though H was expelled. I think Dumbledore knew what was up.
Yea he does get around to it, he's just explaining why he did it
Zbionix / Caleb H. yeah that's what i thought
sounds like, if this theory is correct/nothing comes up to fight with it, that's the case. but since hagrid was expelled, dumbledore transfigured the wand after fixing it into the pink umbrella
Dumbledore repaired Hagrid's wand with the Elder Wand of course.
Simple.
I’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately, but this one was the one that made me subscribe. My favorite theory so far!!!
Wow, Seamus Gorman did this theory recently too! :O
I think this could be true and the reason that Hagrid can't do magic very well is because he never learnt.
Oak, sixteen inches, ‘RATHER BENDY’?!
So Hagrid’s first wand was a floppy stick?!
I remember magicians using their magic without wands if the spells are small, like lighting a fire, so my theory is, even though Hagrid can't use a wand, he can still use his magic (in some cases with an umbrella).
Wizards* and yes
Magicians do magic without wands. Look at this. Was this your card 🃏?
Yeah the small spells you are referring to are likely called cantrips which can be performed without the use of a wand and are simple incantationless spells that have simple effects. These are commonly used be housewives for basic chores (molly weasly) and underage wizards who are subconsciously performing them in times of need.
That being said however hagrid lighting the fire appears to be more a use of a incindio spell than a simple cantrip
Jack Cook by times of need you mean like Harry making the glass disappear in the zoo?
Anybody else here just want to talk about HP and have nobody who will actually listen?????????
Maddux Morse ikr
Haha I know the struggle
Bailey Newton Yes!!
So, let;s talk! xDD What did you have to say?
So let's get this straight, we're all Potterheads and read the books first right?
Lovinggggg this theory! And definitely looking to see that if Hagrid appears Fantastic Beasts
Can you do an Alice in Wonderland video?
Roz that would be awesome!!!😊
YES I LOVE ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Way simpler theory. The Elder wand was able to repair Harry's wand and Dumbledore possessed the elder wand before Harry. Maybe Dumbledore just repaired Hagrid's wand since he knew he was wrongly accused?
Rick Johnson Good call! I think this is very likely, Dumbledore fixed Hagrids' wand with the Elder wand, then either disguises it as, or hides it in the pink umbrella since Hagrid isn't supposed to have a wand.
watch the video maybe?
That is literally the exact same theory. Did you watch the video?
I don't know about the OP, but what I was saying in agreement to him was that maybe it was as simple as JUST that, without all of the stuff with the beasts and the battle. Just Dumbledore helping Hargrid because he knew he was wrongly accused.
I just wanted to take a moment to say that this your channel is really good and offers quality content all the time. I've been following you for a while and I really enjoyed pretty much every video you've posted. Keep up the good work guys, kudos to you!
The problem is, if this theory is true and Dumbledore used the Elder wand to fix Hagrid's wand, then the theory about Dumbledore not being the true owner of the Elder wand is disproven and vice versa. I guess for these theories, neither can live while the other survives
That's way they are called theories.
PLEASE do an Alice in Wonderland video!!
YES I LOVE ALICE IN WONDERLAND
OMG I need to see ALL the fantastic beast movies now!!!
Before I even watched this video and only saw the title, lemme take a guess; Dumbledore has the elder wand and mended Hagrid's wand for him the same way Harry did with his wand at the end of deathly hallows. Amirite??
that's what I thought in deathly hallows..
Such a BEAST theory!
Amit Rajan enough too many people have tried similar things
This one was one of my favorite theories :)
Hagrid is pretty old, I hope we c him in fantastic beasts.
That's funny, after watching more of the video u said the very same thing. Great minds I guess
Correction: Harry didn't win the elder wand from Voldemort, he was already its "master" as was explained by Harry in the book
Harry Won It Off Of Draco, Who Won It Off Of Dumbledore. All You Really Had To Do Was Somehow Take It By Force
SuperCarlinBrothers already did a theory on the path of the Elder Wand. He might be referencing it
justin kazmir nice
You are brilliant, Ben. You have got to start writing your own books. You have the gifts of mind and creativity.
Great videos keep it up
Not first (probably) but I loved the theory
It would be a pity if some version of this doesn't end up in the actual duel when it's filmed.
You know there is something I just realised
In Chamber of Secrets, during the flashback scene, we see Dumbledore old...like not jude law looking
If the chamber was opened 2 years for the dual happened...then well clearly there is a mismatch there
But meh
Not one bit just a different fferent actor as the thay original actor died in 2002, well anyway the character was born in 1890
