I compared Pegasus OG with EX for several months while I was also comparing Layton with Layton EX. I decided to get Layton and Pegasus EX instead of Layton EX and Pegasus. Somehow I thought Pegasus EX is a bigger improvement over Pegasus than Layton EX was over Layton. It all came down to the fact that I liked the fresh mass appealing Layton OG, while also finding Pegasus OG a bit metallic due to the cumin, which is not in the EX version. There was always something slightly ammoniacal in the dry down of Pegasus OG that is not in the EX.

Absolutely spot on and I chose Layton over Layton EX and now have smelled Pegasus OG and EX and I would get EX if I had to chose between those
Awesome. I feel similar. I have a layton exclusif. I sold off my layton og years ago but from what I remember, there isn't much difference between the two laytons. I was for awhile concerned I got a fake or expired layton exclusif bc so many youtubers (especially the women youtubers) claim the exclusif is sooo much darker and woodier and sexier. Trust me, it isn't. It is about the same.
Pegasus exclusif is definitely a huge improvement over the og. I would even go as to say they're almost two different fragrances. I love the Pegasus exclusif it is in my opinion the best pdm available.
@@bryanryan4504 I just wore Pegasus OG a few days ago after giving up on it in favour of the Exclusive 2 years ago (as I said above). The Perfume Guy TH-camr claims Pegasus OG is better. Well, I concluded what I did 2 year sago, that the Ex is far better. The OG is too sweet and powdery vanillic, like Nishane Ani, while the Ex is more complex, a little smoky and bigger, not so sweet, but still centred around Almond.
I wish PDM just released a massive box of male samples again. I’ve been wanting to splurge for a single fragrance, just don’t know which one. With the Exclusifs coming out, a release of a sample spread would be excellent

Stronger than the OG - Yes
More complex - Yes
However, although all the above is yes, it's JUST a yes. Exclusif IS a stronger version of the OG, richer and more complex but IMO, not enough to warrant the Exclusif price tag 😢
If you don't have regular Pegasus, I would get this 💯
If you already have regular Pegasus, it's 125ml, so you have a little extra, just go an extra few sprays and you're almost at Exclusif (without selling a kidney) 😉

Definitely took a 'light' niche frag with the OG and steamrolled into a wonderful darker niche masterpiece.
Have you had a chance to try out any of Le Labo’s fragrances?
I also have problems w performance and longevity w the newer bottles of pdm, have they been reformed/watered down in their current batches?
idk, hmm i tried both OG and the Exclusif version, OG tends to last longer(stronger) than this one and also there's something in Pegasus (both OG and Exclusif) after few hours from the 2-3 initial spray i thought it's already almost skin scent, but people around me able to smell this
I love both OG and Exclusif, from opening to dry down both are heavenly gooood, Exclusif is more complex but it's also so expensive >_

Pegasus is just kind of okay for me (almond is a touch too dominant) but the exclusif I really love! It's the addition of very nice subtle oud (the way it should be) and the touch of amber that gives it a rich well-balanced smell. I'm a fan.

I didn’t like the OG at all. Something was very repulsive in the opening. But this is definitely better imho. I don’t see it as redundant if you have the OG. If you like Layton exclusif you will like this. The vanilla and creaminess on this mixed in with the oud is a great combination here but keep getting wafts and it’s scrumptious
To my nose pegasus exclusif is just a stronger version of pegasus. Exactly the same linear scent. The longevity wasn’t that much different but you do notice the scent losing its projection much sooner than the normal pegasus perhaps due to the contrast of it being THERE then suddenly its gone effect. If you could only get 1, go for the exclusif. If you already have a normal pegasus, look away.
I agree...They did a great job with Layton Exclusif. Not so much with Peg Exclusif. Too close to the OG imo
With you guys on this one!! I do love Pegasus Exclusif but I tend to reach for the OG Pegasus as I feel it’s a bit more “light” and it fills a certain role in my rotation 😊

Pegasus exclusif works but never should have messed with Layton.
I finally got my nose on this and PEGASUS EXCLUSIF is weak, weak, weak!! I sprayed 4-5 sprays and it hardly lasted 2 hours with the oud coming through from the get go. Dont get me wrong its a nice enough fragrance but at this pricepoint i would consider this juice a FRAUD from PDM! I have about 20 niche fragrances in my collection inlcuding Layton but i would give this a hard pass!

Not because I care, but because it means you're a PDM corporate boy. Saying something is very close to Pegasus for $24 isn't a big deal. Also, Everyone posting Pegasus Exclusif videos in the last week says something imho.
