Cheema Sahab, for your information, the first Indian astronaut to visit space was almost 40 years ago when Indira Gandhi was the prime minister. Its was a collaboration with the then Soviets . Thus NASA extending support to India is more beneficial for the US than for India. Our forgien policy is such that we are friendly with almost all global powers and most of them are earger to partner with us! Also don’t forget, India is the only one billion plus market for the West and US, their policy has shut themselves from the other similar (yet much bigger) market called China.

am in a good mood so will tell you a real story..... when dr. apj abdul kalam was working for isro he was noticed by the americans who wanted to recruit him for nasa.....so the americans called him to america and took him to nasa to show him all the space prowess of america in their over zealousness to show off dr. kalam was able to see a screen which was used by the americans to monitor their satellites ...... while dr. kalam politely refused the offer to work at nasa but when he came back to India he provided a lot of information about the american satellite capabilities to the Indian government.
