    IMO, the main reason why China still labels themselves as a developing nation is based on criteria of the World bank and UN. The rules were made by western institutions and China is following them closely. Decades ago, those who made the rules did NOT see this coming that one day China or India could be so huge, developed, undeveloped, rich and poor at the same time.

    Kishore's advice to China is to listen to smaller nations, but that is exactly what China is doing, in direct contrast to the US, isn't it?

    • @appl2597

      That is not true! Before 2022, China under Xi JinPing has consistently asserted arrogantly that "only the concerns of big nations matter. Small nations are irrelevant."
      Only recently has China started to shift and last month's CCP party session was the 1st time Xi JinPing talked about treating smaller nations with respect.

    China is not a liberal democracy. But it is a democracy where the local and regional leaders are elected by the people, and the central leaders are elected by their representatives. That might not seem very democratic, but neither does the US system of oligarchy.

    China per capita ppp is still far below USA, 3.5 X lesser. As a country, yes it’s towering. But the people inside the tower are much poorer than Singaporeans on average. What good is a poorer white elephant in terms of real standard of living. When Chinese people are half as rich as that of USA, then the elephant is monstrous.

    Simple - Everyone needs to sanction and isolate America. Trade in any currency other than the dollar. A weak America is the only guarantee for a world with much lesser conflicts

    • @zenlei8258
      @zenlei8258 ปีที่แล้ว

      You must be naive to believe any country can sanction US.
      US is self sufficient and can survive very well because US is among the largest food producer in the world.
      China cannot survive without American market. How to sanction US ?

    • @daniellee8720
      @daniellee8720 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zenlei8258 and you need to read up more. America is NOT self sufficient, it needs its dollars recycled as the reserve currency. That's why it no longer manufactures but yet can consume from other countries literally for free by way of simply printing money. They also force countries earning US dollars from trade to park their money in treasuries or bonds. Japan n China have the largest holdings of treasuries (each holding just over a trillion). Japan is offloading treauries to buy back the Yen and defend its value
      Countries like China and many others are selling treasuries and avoid holding dollars so that America cannot do to them what they did to Russia. Recently the American government had no buyers for its bonds. It is now the biggest holder of debt via the reverse repo. Think hard why China initiated the BRI? To make a land connection to its market in Asia so that American cannot choke its sea routes, mainly the straits of melaka. China is recycling it US dollars out by putting it in the BRi instead of using its trade surpluses to buy treasuries. And lastly its moving away from America and developing new markets because it has seen how desperate America is to choke China. If the American dollar looses its position as reserve currency, it will be forced to manufacture goods for trade and no longer have free lunches. Then there's BRICS and the clamour by countries like Iran, Saudi, Agrentina and many more countries wanting to join. And of yeah BRICS is floating an alternative reserve currency. Read up bro, don't be such a smart alec, be humble in you words.
