It's incredible to think that I've been transforming the Lair of Voltaire from a boring, NYC studio apartment into a Gothic Lair for over four years and a hundred episodes! Yes lol since Studio apartments do not have a separate bedroom? Hence The Voltaire Goth Sleeping bag..lol As it is they added the small wall to where the small kitchen is.
I’m not surprised at you wanting to do a redesign of the lounge area. You start something, there’s a learning curve, you get better the more you do, then you go back to where it all started and you’re like 😅🤔🤗 Isn’t that how it always is? Gives us more gothic homemaking to watch! So I’m excited

You know, instead of checking all that stuff you're getting rid of on the wall could be put up for a charity auction. Maybe raise some money to help the water protectors trying to stop Line 3. Just a thought.

Kinda disturbing how happy a new Gothic Homemaking episode made me this morning.
It's so awesome to see someone around our age (my husband is 61, and I'm 53), and we are into the same things we are! Our bathroom and bedroom are totally gothed out! (grey, black, and purple are our mainstay colors) and our living room is old Victorian right out of a Vincent Price movie! We LOVE your Gothic home content! Keep the content coming PLEASE!!

I have a copy of the original book that the postcard of the fairy riding the bat that you have in a frame on the gallery wall. The book is from 1942 and belonged to my mum when she was a child. Add me to the list of "ok but where do you sleep?" He did say studio apartment right? Studio means one room if I'm not mistaken. If I had to guess I'd guess he has a futon mattress or sleeping mat hidden somewhere and pads it out with all those cushions.

Instead of tossing out Kurai Kirin-san, how about maybe auctioning him off on EBay or holding a raffle for some lucky fan of yours to win him? He deserves a good home if you decide to get rid of him, plus if you give him away, you could visit his new owner(s) in a future Lair episode!
I need a series of clean out videos! That would make my minimalistic gothic ice shard of a heart happy. Looking forward to the redecorating, less purple will fit you and the Lair better. The Disney villain look works for some but I don't think it's what you're going for. (Do the coffin closet clean up next! Guest star Jade!)

Was thinking same; it's a "studio" apartment, which means no bedroom. I guess Voltaire sleeps on the chaise lounge. However, it would be cool if he had a coffin he didn't show us where he sleeps 😆
I remember the CBGB bathrooms. Or at least the girls bathroom, I should say. LOL! My brother and his band, Forsakken was one of the last bands that played there before the famously iconic club closed for good in 2006. 🖤

Because of you, Voltaire, this year's Halloween shopping is going to be EPIC for me! I've already bought some lovely white bubble-glass tree lights (huge silver maple in my side yard, I love it), some little things from Dollar Tree (who've stepped up their Halloween game), just need a few more pieces to pull it all together!🤍🖤💜

Gothic Homemaking made me realize that i CAN make my living space into something that makes me happy. Thanks to the show I now have my own wallpaper design! slowly turning my room into the steampunk haven i've always wanted (gonna take.... a long time. I only really have one wall done!)

Can't wait to see the re-do of the other space. That bathroom has such balance it's, upscale goth, it makes sense that the rest of the place evolve too. Then evolve again! We all have that seven year itch always changing and growing.
