A comparison video that i watched about the Eng and Jpn ver of this game revealed that for some reason the "sound effects" in the Eng ver are somehow louder than the jpn one, so there's that
I love how despite most of the game being in English they left many of the Japanese voice lines for certain actions in the game randomly like Knuckles saying ora ora ora when digging or Eggman often saying Yo while jumping.

This was arguably the best treasure hunting level in the game. A large open area to glide around in, A lot of landmarks so you don't get lost, A nifty Halloween motif, and that catchy background music.
The level design is just as legendary as the music itself. The background wallpaper in the distance, The platform architecture, The skin textures on said platforms, And every single moving object and bad guy in this stage is DROOLING of All-Hollows-Eve spirit!

Hunnid was arrested on weapon charges and basically forgotten by Sega, he also doesn't own any of the music so is a broke dude bitter about making one hit wonders. Lol.

I went up and down the same area dozens of times screaming "WHERE THE FUCK IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE IT CAN'T BE ANYWHERE ELSE??" and 10 min later you like.. oh wait I have not looked here yet
I never would've thought this video would get as many views as it did. While uploading a playthrough would be cool, my PS3 is caput, so I'd first have to get the game on something like Steam (or get the PS3 repaired). Plus I'd need to finish uploading the SA1 playthrough first.
This level was soo hard for me... actually i hated all the levels where you had to find the master emerald shards... especially the one with rogue and you have to do it in under 5 mins (i never got passed that one)
You have no idea. As a kid I was never able to finish the game for YEARS because I was scared of the ghosts. To this day they're design still creeps me out and jump scares me which I guess you can say is Very good design even for a game targeted for children. Idk if it's because of the teeth, the eyes, or when they get stretchy Is what still scares me to this day.
I just started playing this again and did not even know how to get A ranks. i used to do well at this game and now im not doing good just confusing where to find these emeralds and keys in the hunting missions
Well just to let you know what makes every Sonic game kinda special for every person (even for the worst games in the franchise) is that the song / music just slaps on a good way
