Excellent class! Really like how you carefully explain how each component operates and give the how and why of the wiring design. You really have created super yacht systems aboard Chicory.

I love-love your maintenance series. You have a gift to make the extremely complicated simple. You are wicked smart and a real talent with your hands. Tracy is a angel. I look forward to your next video. Thank you and stay safe and wonderful voyages aboard Chicory.

You made that easier for me to understand, even though my brain lost a little of it's smoke. Great idea!

I am glad, even in the absence of some smoke, it was easier for you to understand. :)

Nicely explained and to exactly the right depth....off topic but can you help settle a bet for my husband and I? For background I am an oceanographer and he is an escapee from the tech world, and he thinks you were and engineer and I think scientist. Are either of us right? Thanks- Liza and Dan

Thank you Liz and Dan for your compliment and question. Prior to moving on the boat, I was COO and President at several visual communications companies. Since that time I have been building on my lifetime of experience working on, designing, and building all things mechanical by earning my USCG 100-Ton Yacht Master credentials, my ABYC Certified Master Technician status (Marine Systems, Marine Diesel Engine, and Marine Electrical), and my Diploma from Lloyd's Maritime Academy in Marine Surveying. I am in the process of applying to be recognized by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) as an Incorporated Marine Engineer. So, my background is neither, but I am working towards being an engineer.

@@boatersdivingguide thank you for the detailed reply, even if it means Dan won our bet ;) Good luck with the degree, though it appears you are doing excellent work. Thank you for the videos and hope to see you on the water one day soon! -Liza

I wouldn't mount it on wood...something less combustible.

Thank you for your comment. Everything is mounted to a DIN Rail, that is in turn mounted to the plywood. What would you suggest the mounting surface be constructed of?
