Adding claws to his wings was a pretty nice touch, it makes him much more threatening

In the movies with Patrick Stewart they did mention that the X-Gene is passed down by the father. When Iceman was talking to his family and Pyro mentions that it is his fathers fault as he passed the mutant x-gene to his son. This might not be true as it is very possible that Pyro was just messing with Icemans family but definitely horrible that Angel had to apologies for something that had to have come from one of his parents. It doesn't just happen, it has to be inherited (even if the parent has an inactive dormant version of the gene).

Given his likeness to angels. His powers should have been easily accepted. It’s just 2 extra limbs.

I've been an Angel fan since it's my preference, not just in Marvel, but all I'm saying is he needs a power-up really, at least allow him to have two sets of wings, main one is the Steel Wings, the other is feathered one that symbolizes his potential abilities like Healing, Light Energy Manipulation, and Faster Flight!!
Plus though this might be unlikely but maybe he can also have the ability to hide those said wings as well too!! 🤔

1) The TV serie God Omens/God omen... The principals character was one angel and one demon (they have Wings).
But... I didn't know the time of this story.
2) the TV série "Lucifer", i think is a modern serie, in modern time.
with Lucifer Samael Morningstar of Sandman's Comics.
His principal character, Lucifer was lord of hell, inspired by the real Lucifer of christianism.
He was a angel, so, in comics and TV serie's versions, he have Wings, demon or angel Wings.
And he's not alone (have wing), in the TV serie.
I would prefer to know what happened next for his dad after he saves him.
Idk what happened to him he could be dead but The official tie-in for DOFP called “25 Moments” mentions that Angel was killed in 2011 by a Sentinel in a peaceful protest against The Mutant Cure
Of if his dad was in fact still alive he’d undoubtedly be devastated and even worse actually hunted down by The Sentinels for carrying The Mutant gene that he passed on to his son.
