    Science (material science) and faith are fully compatible, they explain the reality together with philosophy and other sciencies such as Metaphysics, etc. Faith is completely rational as well as science and they are based on the same principles: non contradiction, causality, sufficient argument, etc.

      In science a hypothesis is not just simply guessing. To simply guess is a personal assumption from an individual's own perception and is not valid science. A hypothesis is, in fact, an educated guess based on limited facts and evidence that can be tested with study, observation, and experimention and absolutely falsified if it indeed really is false up to that point until further analysis reveals complete proof of that hypothesis, until then, it would still only remain a theory. And science is not based on any faith at all, just factual evidence only. Faith is based on no proof or evidence.
      Science is not bias at all, people are, science is just a methology of study, it proves or disproves---period. The scientific methods are purposefully designed to eliminate bias because every study must be objectively verified and there must be a way to prove it wrong if indeed it is. Accuracy and accountability are the hallmarks of study in science, no exception. Inaccuracies are put to the test constantly until obvious evidence bears accurate findings that are factually true or false indisputably. And science is for the purpose of educating and discovery for human advancement, it's methodology of study is designed to eliminate any falisies or errors.

    • @allanlee9520
      @allanlee9520 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mankind can make up magic, but mankind cannot make up science, only misinterpret it or try to change it to their agenda. Yet, no one can change factual knowledge that evidence proves or disproves. True evident facts and proven knowledge do not require beliefs to support it at all. Undeniable facts can withstand any and all harsh scrutiny and examination, whereas beliefs need to rearrange and reinterpret facts to support those beliefs. Beliefs are not facts, just beliefs. Any faith is not evidence to anything factual.
      Magical creation by a supernatural god will always get contradicted by real facts and experienced educational knowledge. So, yes, the so-called "apologists" are grossly misinterpreting science. The moment a religion needs an academic pursuit called "apologetics" is admission that their deity is non existent or so impotent to require mortal assistance to prove it. No God should need anyone to explain or apologize anything at all on their behalf. That's because gods don't exist, and neither do fairies.

    • @allanlee9520
      @allanlee9520 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Science is a constantly advancing and evolving field of study. Science uses only factual evidence to prove a hypothesis. There is no personal guessing or assumed opinions that are outside of educational, factual knowledge. When studies are put to the test facts, observation, experiments, applications, and more studying are not just simply assuming or making up stuff. Misinformation gets naturally corrected by the very processes themselves unless not enough evidence can finalize a finding, then it stays a theoretical hypothesis, which is an EDUCATED guess, until further study accurately proves or disproves without reasonable doubt.

      Huh? Just take the birth of a human. Science certainly describes "what happens", but we have a torrent of information describing exactly *why* that human is born. It's quite fascinating that from 2 microscopic cells we get a human with 26 billon cells 9 months later. And note that 2k years ago, people did not have any idea of these "whys".

    • @GodSoLoved.Yeshua

      You're not actually answering the why question.
      Example, how does the body know when it's time to give birth. Science can't tell you that.
      Why is your life valuable?
      Science can't tell you that.
      Science can't tell you where water arrived from.
      Where did humans come from?
      Science can't tell you that.
      You can believe you came from a worm who decided to turn into a fish 🐟 that eventually decided to crawl out.

      Of course science can explain the why…..why do earth quakes happen or hurricanes for example…we know why certainly without question. Limiting science to only description is senseless and concretely wrong. Thank goodness science has given us the ability to understand washing your hands can prevent the spread of germs…..and we understand why or how that takes place. The list is endless.

      We were never asked to be born or created, yet, "somehow" we were, but only by a "magical omnipotent supervisor" wanting and claiming credit for doing what the universe already does naturally, and constantly has for infinity throughout the constant endless continuum of time and space. The universe doesn't need creating, it does it itself, it's called adaptive growth and expansion because time and space are actually the same thing, the "two sides of the same coin", so to speak, and we as evolved human beings are all a part of this same process of adaptive growth in the universe. The universe has no beginning or end, just constant cycles everywhere within and throughout the universe according to astrophysicists. Planets and star systems go supernova and new ones are formed all the time over eons of infinite time and space.
      Furthermore, the universe does not have a purpose, it just has a direction. It's just expanding and evolving as is everything else within it, the planets, stars, black holes, life, us, etc. "Purpose" is a human emotion that has evolved in us over eons of time, and purpose is something different to each individual

      The collected information and knowledge from many centuries of study is not mistaken misinformation at all. Professors and teachers did not earn their degrees by any misconstrude means or misconceptions. It's safe to say with certainty that the schooling you received from kindergarten up to your senior graduation is true and accurate. The educational system as a whole naturally follows the strict ethics of teaching educational factual knowledge, just ask any teacher or professor of any school or university that has earned their degrees, every teacher I've ever known is just trying to honestly educate, and not fool, confuse, or lie to anyone or else they should certainly be fired from their teaching careers. Educational information that is taught has no personal bias of any kind as far as politics, personal feelings, and religion goes, just straight forward educational information. Teachers want to educate and challenge thinking, not teach lies like they have some other agenda. These are gross false notions by conspiracy theorists, religious apologists, and political activists with an agenda.
      Science is a constantly advancing and evolving field of study. Science uses only factual evidence to prove a hypothesis. There is no personal guessing or assumed opinions that are outside of educational, factual knowledge. It's interesting how religion wants to impose on science. Science never tried to debate or question religion. And now it has to defend its theories and hard scientific work before religious beliefs. Please, let science be science and don't be afraid or offended of people who don't believe in your God. Science has its own way of getting rid of false conclusions and untruths, so there is no need for religion to deal with it.

I always suspected the cops bought those gloves themselves, because they were just large size. The cops, not being large men probably didn't realize there were two more sizes larger gloves. Only big guys knock how to come up with oversized clothes for themselves.

All of that is an opinion, both mine and his. What I do like about him is that he submits the scientific facts on this debate on the origins of life very, very well. The materialist dogma that one “must” subscribe to by default is a cancer and prevents real scientific discussion and progress.

    1. What is science: Simple.."The systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained."
    2. What does science say about god: Simple...nothing. Think about it, if you're stuck on a difficult scientific problem (eg, origin of life), do you say "god did it!"? Or do you continue your research? You have to do the latter, otherwise there's no point to doing science.
    3. Why science needs god. Wrong. Science doesn't need god at all.
    So many flawed arguments presented:
    "Morality needs to be imported into science". Don't conflate morality with basic science. Science stands on its own. Of course, you can conduct immoral experiments, you can use the science you've discovered in an immoral way (think Oppenheimer), but that's neither here nor there. Science proceeds according to point 1, the definition.
    "Science needs philosophical assumptions about how it works". That is in a sense correct, but overlooks a glaring problem when saying "because it's making assumptions, it could be right, it could be wrong....who knows". The glaring problem is that science *works*. The scientific method that we've defined has gotten us quite far in this world in terms of discovering objective truths. Nothing else comes anywhere close; certainly not any particular invented religion.
    "Atheism makes reason impossible". Oh boy. CS Lewis really blew it on this one.
    "Suppose there were no intelligence behind the universe. In that case nobody designed my brain for the purpose of thinking. Thought is merely the byproduct of some atoms within my skull. But if so, how can I trust my own thinking to be true?".
    That is correct, nobody *purposely* designed your brain for thinking, it evolved that way, because it was *beneficial*. And this "how can I trust...", is mere word play. You can trust it because, again, it *works*. I mean, you can say things like "what if god created everything 5 seconds ago, with false memories, blah, blah...". Yeah, that could be true, but how much energy are you going to spend contemplating this scenario?

    • @hongotedesco8931
      @hongotedesco8931 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ronaldorivera4674
      1. "We have to presuppose things that we take for granted". Again, it's about what I mentioned in point 3, that we do take things for granted. But it's because they work, it doesn't really matter if philosophically "you can't be sure". If I hold a glass of wine in my hand, and I let it drop, I can trust that there's going to be a mess on the floor. And so can you, and everybody else on this planet. It works.
      2. The whole "wave function collapse" is a complex area of physics, with no real answer. Different scientists will give different interpretations. It's really TBD at this point.
      3. Yes, many of those scientists you mention would certainly disagree (Kepler was a priest!), but they would just be wrong. I'm pretty sure that if they lived today, they would actually agree with me. It's just historical context that makes them believers.

      Evolution didn't create our brain, laws of nature and Energy did that. Matter behaves according to laws of nature thus everything what happens in matter is deterministic process determined by initial cause at Big Bang. If our mind is caused by matter then we are absoutely deterministic machines without any free will. Think about it. So evolution has been planned process at the beginning of Universe or it is driven outside of matter like our mind is able to break determinism which shows clearly that our mind is not matter.

    Supernatural does not exist. There's no such thing. Ultimately, there really is no "supernatural", it's just natural. What makes it "super" is that it cannot be explained yet because we haven't evolved up to that advanced level of knowledge to make that discovery. However, there is a viable explanation in this real reality of ours. We will get there eventually, as we have before, due to the factual knowledge of what we now know that was at one time unanswered wonders of life and the universe. Miracles do happen everyday, but it is not magic, nor mystical, by any means. We need to look, observe, and study on the quantum level of physics.
