Personally my best flat ground trick is a nollie quad dragon flip late 360 fs shove revert but since I’ve been only doing hard tricks , I sort of lost the basic kickflip so thanks for the video .
The leaning forward part might be the golden tip I need to get kickflips down. My flick easily flips the board, but I just never get anywhere close to landing it. And if I do, video shows I was flicking down. I've also noticed a certain balance can make the board 'shoot back' into my flicking foot, which is halfway an advantage to a better flip. Not sure if that's correctly. Anyway, leaning forward is next on my list to try.
@@misiek_ Yes, it does help. A lot. Thing is, you have to balance leaning forward to the nose with also bringing up your front foot high enough for it to not flick down. It takes practice, but totally helps. The other thing to notice is how you _have_ to start bringing up your back foot as high up as possible for a better balance above the board too.

I literarly landed my first kickflip after i saw this video. If any of you is still having problems with their kickflip i think that u should try first in grass because that helped me a lot
The thing that really helped me relearn how to do kickflips after not skating for 10 years was to do them while grabbing the bars of the "leg-raise and dip station" of a larger exercise machine. The obvious downside is that you're forced to keep your arms up and out during the trick, but that also forces you to keep your elbows straight with the board, and keeping hold of the hand bars prevents you from eating the concrete.
44 year old here learning kick flips for the first time. You have a knack for knowing what beginners struggle with. Thank you for your awesome tips! 👊🏻 Subbed.
One of my biggest problems with kickflips was not practicing them daily, and getting old and out of shape. When you try re learning them and you run out of breath it becomes a REALLY frustrating trick LOL. However, your tip about weight FORWARD saved me so much. No videos talk about this. All they do is tell you where to flick and put your feet. Much gratitude sean.
I have a bad problem with flicking down and landing with my right foot only. I've had a lot of trouble getting the board to flip with out it, but I feel like you explained the flick and how to go about it really well! This is by far one of the best tutorials I've seen. I can't wait to try the tips!

same, but what helped me is to move my front foot a little more of the board until almost only ur toes and the foot part right below ur toes are on the board. and also dont slide out all the way to the nose and then kick, but try to slide shorter and start kicking out earlier, hope that heelps you too:)
Try it with your foot all the way almost off the board while on a crack and then you’ll get used to that flicking motion bc it’s weird at first and if you don’t know what you’re looking for you won’t really know what works. Putting your foot on the edge I much easier to flick but doesnt work with balance when you’re actually riding but start bringing your foot closer to the middle
Thanks sooooo much the shoulders really helped me out a LOT with the flick I can get it to go double around but it just freaks out like crazy because my shoulders are wobbly
