I shoot 168 grain Nosler AccuBond LR bullets exclusively in my 28 Nosler. It loves the handloads, superior hunting accuracy, and velocity is screaming. For that heavy a bullet, I prefer to move up to .308 caliber/diameter cartridges. That's where my .300 and 30/378 Wbys shine.

Great video mate, I’ve just got done building a 28 Nosler on a Bat HR repeater, Bartlein, Bix’n Andy trigger held in a McMillan A6, I’m looking forward to my scope getting here so I can go out and load develop the cartridge. May I ask what powder and charge weight you finished at to have such Stella results?

Well most 28 nos like them berger 180s and up.. H1000 and retumbo is what we found it likes.

@@quarterminutemagnums Outstandingly, it is currently on the third barrel and second reamer design. The current reamer spec's have certainly improved accuracy, throat life however.. Is still quite short.

That rifle is shockingly accurate and you did a great job. Congratulations! I am starting a 28 Nosler bench rifle project now. If I may ask, is that just a Saami chamber or did you have a reamer made? How long is the freebore? Also is that a cerakote finish and if so what color did you use? Thanks so much for the entertaining uploads on your channel and the effort you put into it!

    • @quarterminutemagnums

Dear Sir - We have all our reamers made to our specifications; made to our specific dummy rounds. DuraCoat not Cerakote - #12 Desert Brown. Thanks.........

Why would you not be able to open the bolt if the bullet was 3300+ FPS? I ask because I have a browning x bolt that is very difficult to open after firing. Usually I have to wait for it to cool and it’s still difficult. I’m shooting factory nosler and hornady at around 3200 FPS I think.

Dear Sir - Hard bolt lift almost always equals excess pressure. Almost........there can be other issues.

I really want a rifle that I will never need to buy another one again, so what should I get a 28 nosler or the 300 win mag nosler? I won’t it all distance and power...

Somebody's down range near the targets, while he's fumblin' around with that rifle, and not clearing the range?? Accuracy is one thing, range safety quite another, but infinitely more important!!
