    For anyone who doesn't know, 3000 yards is slightly over 1.7 miles. That's impressive on its own. With that wind on top of it, that's just crazy

    I agree with your caption at the end of this video. The rifle performed extremely well, as did the Mark and Sam team. Very impressed and, as always, yes I did enjoy it!

    I’m extremely impressed with your load getting 3200 FPS with the 195 EOL. I’m getting 3006 FPS, same bullet but 26” barrel, Peterson brass. Awesome shooting and spotting and as always a joy to watch your work. Thank you both.

    I've been wanting to see a 28 Nosler on youtube for some time now! It's a pretty hot cartridge (speed wise) here. I think the barrel life makes it less popular here but it's impressive ballistics seem like it should be a 'shoe in' for ELR shooting. I wonder how the 27 stacks up being it's a necked down 28 Nosler?

      Competitive ELR pretty much starts at 338. Ya you can use the smaller stuff but the wind just pushes it around like crazy

    Hi mark I have a 7 rem that’s starting to get abit long in the throat, I’ve been considering a new barrel in 28 nos, this particular rifle is just for fun shooting steel like yourself, in your opinion is 28 nos worth it over 7mag taking into account the barrel life? respect your opinion and knowledge cheers,

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, all depends how you use them, over the last 15 odd years I rarely put more than 300 shots through a ELR rifle barrel, as such haven't got any info on barrel life, so not the person to ask, sorry, Cheers

      Thanks for the reply, 300 rounds on a barrel would definitely not have much indication of what life they have, I think I’ll just give the 28 a try, should be fun the 7mag has been a fun round to shoot with incredible accuracy, cheers

    I've been warned away from 7mm chamberings for ELR due to lack of splash but you seem to make it work.
    Do you find any benefit with the smaller caliber compared to a .30 or .338?

    Y'all a bunch of left coriolis correctors down there! At least right hand twist barrels are designed for you. :) I take it that you are not lazing these distances. In the US, consumer lasers are not allowed to be strong enough to measure such long ranges. You would need a rangefinder from a tank! Thanks!
