DIY GoPro kayak boom for under $20. Today i dive into a new setup for filming kayak fishing. This boom will take your fishing video to the next level. angles are key when filming kayak fishing, and this setup gives you multiple. I hope you can use this build for filming you kayak fishing videos.
If you love kayak fishing and want to learn how to get on more fish this is the channel for you! I am an avid Kayak angler that loves to chase largemouth bass around the state of Texas and beyond. I usually am kayak fishing the Austin Texas area and Ladybird lake is my home lake. I truly love throwing topwater. I am outfitted with the Old Town Autopilot 120 and my gear includes Shimano reels and Falcon bait casting rods. Tackle includes Spro frogs, the River2sea whopper plopper and spitting wa frogs, Zman chatter baits,Strike King shadalicious swimbaits and much more.Saltwater tackle includes 6th Sense wake baits, Salt Strong paddle tails, and Heddon topwater spooks. I’m glad you liked it. I was getting concerned that nobody had any interest in it. I have some shots of it on my latest bass video still working on tweaking the angles but so far I like it. I really like it. Do you think I'd need any modifications to your build to work with a pedal drive?
That might be somewhat of a challenge if you’re constantly peddling. I have to think about that one. Let me get back to you.
I think it would still work you would just have to play with the angles a little bit
And possibly extend the 6 inch PVC to a 12 inch
For those with pedal drives: you might need to increase the height or length of this setup. This mount serves as a base to help you cater to your situation. Increasing the length and or height of the pvc risers can get you around your drive. Still allowing you to get the boat side shot. Comment if you have any questions. Tiggs.
