1964 Chrysler 300K. New starter. Temp sender fix. B/U light fix. Engine test.

The rebuilt engine for the Silver K is ready to fire. First we need a new starter motor. I couldn't get the old style from Napa but other suppliers (O'Reilly's?) may have them. The new style needs modification to fit. Engine test went well. Fixing a pegged temperature gauge. Fixing a stuck back up light switch. Progress.

I had the exact grounding problem with my H…short of pulling the compressor off, I managed to get a thin small flat headed screw driver between the temperature sensor connector and the bottom of the compressor…just enough to better seat the connector and create an air gap. Voila…no more pegged temperature gauge and nominal operation. Thanks for all your posts, very enjoyable!
