1963 Chrysler heater motor replace

I get nothing from the heater fan on the J. Removal and install of the heater blower box is not easy so I checked and rechecked that the fan was indeed bad before jumping in. A replacement fan works although I still have a switch or wiring issue to solve -- I should have 3 fan speeds but I only have 2. A follow up video is brewing.

I recall back when my brother had his ‘63 New Yorker and how he had the car for a year and didn’t realize the pull switch for the fan speed could be pulled out to one more higher speed! I’m pretty sure the system had more than two speeds, though. That extra-high speed sure came in nice in the muggy Virginia Summers!

Yes, AC cars have a 3 speed fan system.
