I was looking for this part two earlier today when it popped in. Much cleaner install. I do the same thing with alarm systems and server rooms, it only takes a little longer to do it right.
Mounting some 2x4's on the wall and then the manifold to the 2x4's makes that install so much easier. Not a huge fan of those pex lines rubbing on the cement too (a lot of movement with the heat/cool cycles and it looked like those were oxygen barrier pex with the thin plastic covering?) What's with the transformer above the zone controller?
I'm curious, do the valves have to be installed in that upright position or could they be installed upside down or would they not function correctly? I'm just wondering if you had the lines coming down from a ceiling but you wanted to have a cleaner install if you would have the app whereas flipped upside down so the lines come straight down into it instead of doing that loop, but I kind of have a feeling it might not function properly
I always asked to see someone’s car keys in a job interview to see if they have one of those on there keys or in their pocket tells a lot about a person’s experience

Looks good, but when you use all thread, you should always have at least 1 full nut. ( one piece of your all thread is way to short, barley have 1/2 nut on that) bottle left in video.PS I'm just nit picking.
I don't mean to bust your chops or anything But why did you install that controller underneath the water connection? Why not up to the right across from the headers? Are you getting old like me?
@@josephpadula2283 i guess in my thinking, each pimp would use more energy than zone valves. Maybe one pump won't push enough if you have multiple zones calling
Not to be an electrical snob, but I do have to be just one time, sorry! Why do plumbers like to mount all the electrical stuff under the piping carrying the water? Couldn't there been a slightly better place to the side or above? I am just asking for a friend of course! 🍺👍🍸🚬
Hey Mikey, why is it that the owners are always the ones working at lightning speed and optimal efficiency? I would take a hundred like you for my business.
😂I do the same with writing down everything I use you always forget something I try when I’m writing up service call to also write on my pad what I need to restock it’s always something I forget 🤦🏻♂️
That won the award for the quietest Mikey Pipes Video! 😂😂😂👍
A silent Mikey Pipes. That can’t last to long. 😂
Pipe Doctor is the real deal. On time, efficient, and courteous!
Clean job, well done!

Thanks for the comment, appreciate it!
I appreciate how transparent you are about costs and repairs. It’s rare these days!
hello Mikey Pipes, another great video 👍👍thanks for always being there for us subscribers
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your videos are so helpful, especially for understanding what contractors are doing.
Once again, I watched whole video. Nice and neat, good stuff.
Always learning here 🔥
27:36 I have that exact same hammer. Was this video mistitled? I didn't see any "secrets" revealed, much less mind blowing ones.
Best part of these videos? The professional tips! Love it!
Mikey Pipes quietly working with no putzing around 🤔
Different...
Nice work Mike.

I learned so much from this video. You’re a fantastic teacher!
You say MIND BLOWING?????
What is so mind blowing?
Simple handy man work.
4:28 & 5:39 Nothing like having the right bit and tool for the job, as makes things “that much easier” 😉
Cheers Mikey Pipes✌🏻
Great job Mikey!
Very nice, didn’t know Uponor made a Zone Panel, good to know. Curious how it compares price wise to Taco
❤ outstanding !!👍

Pipe Doctor = lifesaver!
Mind blown 🤯
This is how a Professional takes Care of Bidnez. 🤔👍🙏
I understand convenience but why did you mount the controller under a union?
Why did you flip the source and return sides when changing from old to new manifold?
I think someone needs a new cutting wheel on their pipe cutter! 🤠👍 Might want to add it to the list!
do the zone actuators always go on the return and flow controls on the supply?

Do you think the plastic anchors are appropriate for this installation?
It’s not that heavy - most of all is plastic

Love your show dude
Haha 😆
Mikey gave us the silent treatment this video
What’s this mikey pipes quiet mode lol
The Zone controller does not have enough 24V to supply power to the valves?
no, the xfr BLEW UP!!!!!
Make comments when you know what you are talking about
The Zac-404 are made to run 4 zone valves.
ZVC-404
Not only the valves but the thermostats also
Yeah, strange. Right at the end we see an externally mounted xfmr on the controller. No explanation.
Why don’t u use tapcons?
Hi I’m trying to reach you about your radiant heats extended warranty !
Great work Mike! That Uponor zone panel looks a lot like a rebadged Taco
Thanks, I like it.
missed the Mikey Pipes commentary, what happened ?
No narrative?
who are you? and what did you do to Mike?
lol 😂
I think that zone manifold makes more since than different pumps for each zone
All the Uponor tech manuals wants a pump for each zone . Other than the pump supplier making sales is it that much better ?

You raw doged it today. Little Vaseline on the plastic threads please. 😢

My mistake I didn’t read the whole rules. I guess you could drill a couple holes without a mask or a vacuum cleaner.
Best in the biz 👏
Everything's so cheaply made nowadays. I hope the new president fixes it. American made
👍
Sounds like an idiotic hope tbh
American made happens to almost always be the same quality. The big difference is that it costs much more.
@@Katana_00 Hey at least I know I can't get pregnant. I bet your boyfriend thinks he can though. You're idiotic for saying something like that.
Wow. Not talking.. no Fun.... :) Why is there no plywood on the wall. Wouldn't that make your life easier?

I don’t know how you could put this on TH-cam when you’re violating OSHA regulations you’re supposed to be collecting the dust drilling into concrete
