Mikey pipes! I’ve always wanted a flir camera! But I’m so cheap the birds sing to me,” cheap cheap” someday day someone’s gonna give me a break!?! Anyhow. Fun video I do like the sound of a new Weil McClean!!!!!!! Nice job installing that new natural gas Weil McClain heater. I want that Thermal camera so much I can see flir through my eyes. I’m a mechanic and a flir camera helps diagnose plugged catalytic converters, mufflers, a missing cylinder you can see does not get as warm as the ones that are burning the gas in the cylinder. It’s also good for checking a/c for restrictions. Most good mechanics carry one. Seriously, I hope you find a good home for it - sniff sniff-

@@PipeDoctor I tried emailing you but it said the server won’t respond. Well I do appreciate the offer. You can be a pretty kind guy, quite often lately, Regards
I figured it out. You now have my address. Thanks so much Mikey Pipes. I volunteer my services to the less fortunate. The flir camera will make a very nice tool in my box for diagnosing vehicle issues

As a dedicated boiler inspector, I rely heavily on advanced tools to ensure safety and efficiency in my work. A new thermal imaging camera would significantly enhance my ability to identify potential issues such as heat loss or insulation failures during inspections. This technology is crucial not only for maintaining compliance but also for ensuring the safety of the systems I inspect. Receiving this camera would empower me to provide even more thorough evaluations and help prevent costly failures before they happen. Thank you for considering my request!
Thanks for your detailed feedback and comment. Winner will be announced Sunday evening Eastern daylight time.
Thanks for the opportunity to win that awesome looking thermal camera! 22 years in the HVAC trade, I have always wanted a thermal camera, however there always seems to be other tool purchases that needed to take priority!

Mike I've been watching you for years thank you for being so honest I believe you are a man of God you do help a lot of people and keep these greedy plumbers out of the way thank you Mike and God bless you I will be praying for you
Really appreciate the videos mike. Seriously. I watch these videos, and learn ways to explain things to new hires in a different way. It's helped me out substantially to help simplify the explanation end of things that we do every day. I don't need a thermal imaging camera. If I win it just give it away to someone else. This is just a nice comment for nothing.
Mister pipes! My favorite hvac/plumbing channel! I just recently started at a hvac company and that thermal imager would be a game changer for me. But keep them videos coming! Peace love and chicken grease!
Love the channel- Grew up in the plumbing business but not in the trades (my father always indicated no money but died quite wealthy for having 12 kids LOL) but I do manage a non-profit senior center. Hoard tools on the side according to wife-can't pass up a deal on a pipe wrench. Use a lot of those tools daily as can't afford maintenance man. We certainly could use the thermal camera helping us keeping the kitchen equipment operating i.e. dishwasher temperature, booster heater, grill and hot water heaters, identifying leaks in building, and keeping electrical panels safe and operating. Might even use it to take the temperature of the members to see if they are sick - :) will upload video of usage for entertainment.
Thanks Mike for the chance to win a Thermoal Cam, I am new to the business but still learning as I go. Love your video's and It gives me something new to watch every day.
Great install as always, job well done 👏 ✔️ 👍 🙌 👌
Hi Mikey pipes ,, I’m always watching your videos and learning something new everyday,, you are real , , love your hard work
Thermal camera on my wish list for several years now. Currently work doing Supermarket refrigeration and having a thermal camera would greatly help in troubleshooting rack compressors and other associated issues. I use to have a thermal camera that connected to my phone only to have it stolen from one of my stores by a subcontractor and of course they denied the theft. Well long time subscriber and love your videos man. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for sharing. As a home inspector you have increased my knowledge with your informative videos. All the best to you and your family, and God Bless.
Thanks, you too!
Thumbs up for not editing out mistakes like other channels! FYI I’m still laughing about the “certain Massachusetts plumber” line. Good job
You and me both!
One of the more interesting, informative videos that you’ve done in a good while…
I appreciate that!
Great content. Also, love your uncensored channel. Keep it up.
Every job peter keeps getting better.
An hour n 10 minutes, yess🥃👍🏻🍻
I am in HVAC for a year and a half now in NH. I truly believe in investing in your profession by tool purchases to save time and make money. I appreciate the opportunity to possibly win this camera. Side note you and your family/team are a fantastic resource with all of your channels. Keep on keepin on
Big shout out from Melbourne Florida
That thermal camera was a great tool. The image was excellent and provided a wealth of information for your trade. I would surely love to own one too. Thanks, Mike!
Really love all of your videos. That thermal camera is awesome! I am a licensed airframe and powerplant technician who could use it to check individual cylinder temperature after servicing aircraft engines. Also do commercial fireworks displays and could use it to make sure all cakes and mortars have cooled down before attempting to disassembling them. I have to say that I have learned much from your videos and that they inspired me to get 608 universal and 609 EPA certification to buy refrigerants to service my own HVAC and auto systems. What is also great is that I live on LI too and get to see local tradesmen in day to day action.
Beautiful work.
Every job you guys do looks great! I've learned a ton by watching your channel! I am in the trades, don't have a thermal imaging camera, and really need one! Have a blessed day!
What a great opportunity. I am a DIYer but also a new homeowner. I am always looking for ways to improve my home and learn more about it. I have been looking at these cameras for a while but have not had the chance to get on yet. I might not use it as someone who is in the trades, but it would definitely get its use for a long time. Btw nice looking install.
Who had the power lift dolly? No getting hurt allowed. Videos entertaining and informative
Yeah, we left that in the shop
Hey Mikey im a hvacr technician. Just branching out to supermarkets and i believe this would be very useful. Keep the videos coming 👍
Thanks, will do!
Nice job pipe dude 👍
Hey Mike it’s kelvin the guy who serviced your wolf double oven
Even at this price point, it’s a lot less than a Flir hand held unit like I used to use. Looks like it’s decent 👍👍
Nice job again by the team! 🏆🏆🏆
I'm watching in Kos Greece while lm on holiday for a month.Great content from Leicester uk
I'm to far for camera but it would be a welcome addition to my kit
Nice install really appreciate the items breakdown! Mike I really need that camera, went solo recently and could really use that on the truck specially now with boiler work picking up 🙏🏻
Hey Mikey,
Subscribers only huh? Fortunately you're one of the 5 or 6 creators I follow.
I know the value of a thermal imager as I used to have one (long story involving my first heatsink of a house in the north, I got one when I went looking for my next home to make sure it had good insulation). Unfortunately that's among what was left behind in my divorce (house and camera 😂. Don't judge, we've all made terrible choices because of women).
I'm in the trades (electrical J-man in TX and NM) and have started moving into HVAC since there's so much crossover controls-wise. As I get further into the refrigeration side of it I think it would be a killer tool to have to essentially watch the systems operation and make sure it's all working right. Even though at the moment I'm still mostly being used as an electrician...which as you pointed out is great for finding hot spots. One of the jobs I do is at a big place and we contract out the yearly thermography inspections of the power factor correction gear, MCC cabinets, switchgear, and VFDs. Maybe that would be a service I could offer them 🤔
Anyway, just wanted to throw my hat in the ring at a chance to win it.
By the way, I see you're doing more editing to your videos now...I like the RGB flicker transitions between shots (noticed it a couple times. First was at 4:08)
Keep up the good work Mikey
I am an instructor at a HVAC-R school in Columbia SC and if I was to win, it would be donated to them. Thank you and love your videos.
I heard on National News today that they want to Start Up Three Mile Island again 45 years after the Horrible Accident back in 1979. 🤔🤪👎
Mikey F'n Pipes, been wanting a thermal camera for a while now. I could use one for many things. Hope you consider me for the camera. Been watching you for a long time now, we see eye to eye on a lot of things. Proud to keep the trade great always. Thanks for the video sir. God bless.
Come on Mikey pipes give me one of those things I watch one of your videos. God bless lol
I really appreciate the opportunity you’re giving to help fellow tradesman by offering this tool giveaway. As someone who went to trade school for plumbing and takes pride in perfecting my craft, having reliable, high-quality tools is essential to both the work I do and my continued growth in the field. I’m committed to improving my skills, and this tool would help me tackle more complex projects efficiently and professionally. Gaining access to the best tools not only makes the job easier but also allows me to deliver better results to my clients. Winning this tool would mean a lot to me as a young person coming up in the trades. It would support both my career and my passion for doing great work.
Great content as normal. Would love the thermal camera. Keep up the great work.
Looks like a great job. It went smoothly. Nice installation. I don't remember hearing we can't use close nipples in gas piping here in Mass. I have been known to use windex for checking for gas leaks if I run out of other liquid. Oil tank was on its last leg. I worked with a friend of mine and when cutting nipples he taught me to thread the piece left in the vice as it would need to be threaded eventually. Saves a step
Hey Mikey, Thanks for the video and great tutorial. You seem very knowledged on the equipment you install!
I have been doing my research on boilers and have yet to see a new install or conversion installation where they explain how they determined the size of the boiler. The "Experts" say you should do a proper heat loss calculation, because you never know if the boiler being removed was the correct size to begin with. I also heard that many plumbers years ago would just replace a new boiler with the same BTU rating that was originally installed. Your thoughts and possibly include that in a future video?
Nice install I was thinking about pipe threading watching this my machine kinda took a dump a few years ago. Been hand threading since 1/2 , 3/4 and occasionall 1 inch Dont do much threading but a few hand threads here and there no biggie Had a fair amount of 1 inch and 3/4 to cut about 6 monthes ago. I planned it all out when in to home depot and the guy cut and threaded it all for me no charge LOL . Had a few field cuts and threads.
Related to threading you look at old school hangar rod it was just rod and they had to thread the ends no " All Thread " back in the day .
Im retired just let a youngster have the camera !
Well, I work for a waste management company and we design and produce 5000 liter plastic semi underground containers with the use of rotor molding. (melting plastic in a rotating drum ) temperature zones are very inportand. I could use a thermo camera for every production run.
I loved to win and have it in my tool bag would be a game changer for me I have put in a lot of gas lines here in wildwood thank you Mikey Pipes
Mikie f*ing pipes I have been a long time subscriber I look forward to your videos everyday I worked for a multi service company for 10 years here in VA did I still do side jobs for friends and family mostly plumbing and you have taught me a lot about HVAC r I switched trades 5 years ago and went back to automotive repair so I could you that camera more then a DIY person I can use it on my 9-5 fix auto and my side home repairs
Hey Mikey pipes. I’ve been a hvac technician for about a year now and would love to add that thermal camera to my toolbag. I’ve been watching your channel for a few years now and I really enjoy your content and you’re amazing work. Thanks for reading
Have you looked into the 1/8" auto vent ball valves ? I absolutely love them for the same reason as haven a valve before the expansion tank.
We used to strip and split the boilers, pull them out in sections. I'd come home looking like a coal miner

Спасибо, что делитесь мастерством👍
have you ever done refrigeration like fridges walk-ins or ice machines
Golly it would be nice to have a thermal camera.😅
Those two are really starting to do great work like Mikey Pipe does, I just helped my Neice move into a new apartment two states over, when we got to the New Apartment the AC was not working after watching Mikey Pipes I told the service guy seemed that the Capacitor was bad he tested and found out it was the Capacitor which was bad on the fan side and it failed the shake test..lol my sister in law said how did you know that I said from watching Mikey Pipes 9n You Tube love your content
Why not do a conversation burner?
Good job
Sweet infared cameras.
You guys do great work.
Not going to have much to smelt from this one.
nope...little smelt
I'm a auto mechanic and would love one. Always wanted one but they're very pricy. Also I live 25 min from miss molly😂. Seriously, I live in Cranston, RI. Also live 5 min from the Taco plant. Awesome work on this job. Nice an neat! Keep up the great work!!
hummm...is there a MP sticker on his mailbox yet?
@@PipeDoctor maybe soon? 😜
Good job, I have one critic, how about a plug for the flue combustion analysis hole. As much as I would love to have a thermal imaging camera, after 40 +years in the trade and retired, best be given to someone who's still in the trade.
I would use it everyday on the job I am really interested in it
Why did you give the Rheem water heater the finger? Is that water heater needed with the boiler you installed?
Do you leave the hole in the flue pipe? Won't some combustion gases leak out?
I could use E2 on my boat
Great fast and install get rid of the oil
I hope the guy removing the oil tank , blocks off the delivery spigot. I guess you've heard the horror stories of people coming home to a basement floor covered in heating oil. Happens in Canada I hear quite often.
I am not going to say anything... but my OCD got the best of me. You know your expansion tank and watch say 9/18 install date, however 1:03:17 your Testo 310 says 9/14 at 4:49PM... 🤣👍 Also if you want a small IR camera that is powered off your phone with high resolution look at the Nano 300 by Seek Thermal. Just a little cube, no batteries to worry about and all video/photos are stored on your phone. 👍
need an offset bend above the box or offset connector and strap the conduit to boiler case, also should be strapped at the top. lol
Thanks for sharing
Do you need con ed to turn the gas off and how about inspection in the gas line
RAW UNCUT Unedited..Nice to hang out with y'all for the hour. Let's see Peter take out that old boiler by himself. No way it will take 6 guys..
next time try taking it apart it will be more trips but the pieces will be lighter
Are those shark bite fitting?
mikey how do you drain that boiler
Hey Mikey I can definitely used a thermal camera. I don’t have one currently. Btw, if Peter wears 10.5 boots, i have a brand new timberland 6” steel toe work boots. He can have it. I can pick up since im local and drop off the boots for Peter. Keep posting
Hey Mickey, love the channel and have been a long time subscriber. I started my own company 1 year ago and im just a small one man shop. I’ve been looking for a thermal camera that doesn’t break the bank. This opportunity would help out so much. Thank you for time and I will continue to watch your content.
