Love this guy. I was raised by parents who loved America. The 4th of July was bigger than Christmas - lots of celebration with a family reunion with kids and grandkids, a boat parade on the lake, cookout, and a spectacular fireworks display. My dad was very careful to take down the flag before sunset and taught us how to fold it properly. When he could no longer physically get to the flagpole, he installed a light that would automatically turn on at sunset to keep the flag lit. He is no longer with us and we are all living in different places but those are memories we will always cherish. In these last four years, it's hard for me to celebrate America without a lot of sadness and grief. But I can celebrate my faith in God, knowing with confidence that He still upholds and governs our precious nation.

Excellent video, thank you all. I'm old, 75. In 1967, aged 19, I had a decent job running night shift at a radio station. I was in college, 2SH deferment. July 1968 I volunteered for the draft. Three months later, I got my draft notice. I have never figured out why I took this path. I served 3 years, got married, raised 2 sons and have had a great life. If needed, I would serve again. I am now off to buy my next book.

Yeah, growing up Republican, I thought we were the party of Patriotism. Now Republicans root for an ex-KGB agent to defeat NATO, nominate a guy who demands the “termination” of the Constitution, and blame every bad thing in the world on America.
Ronald Reagan is rolling in his grave. 😢🇺🇸

@@joeblow1104 It's not the "government" that is bad, it's the current administration. Communist fascists have taken over the Democrar party and are poisoning our country with their propoganda.
The actions taken by today's "Democrats" mirror the actions of Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler and others who imprisoned their countries by "criminalizing" their political opponents and promising their followers they would provide them with carefree lives in a United utopia.

Frequent catching & hugging/petting the rooster for a few weeks works every time to train a rooster to avoid people. They hate being held. Then you can teach the kids to catch & hold the rooster, so he'll also avoid children. You much teach the kids to be confident & safe around the animals.

I was a female in the Army, I would never want to be stuck in a tank with 5 guys!! Men are stronger, they need to do strong jobs, jobs that take mental toughness can go either way. Mental toughness has nothing to do with gender. That’s the mistake people make when assigning jobs.

We were at OFFUT AFB during Dessert Storm. Our troops withdrew and Gen Schwarzkopf said we should stay and finish the job. Instead, Congress did the biggest military drawdown that changed the composition of the military based on politics. No good military leader gave the green light on the CF that was withdrawl from Afghanistan. That was 100% a political decision, and perhaps the blunder that gifted them with a base full of supplies was a staged blunder w/out regard for our people with boots on the ground. It cost good men and women their lives. Our military needs a polish and shine when our government gets cleaned up. BTW, I still appreciate it when a man holds a door for me. ❤

Self worth is what families give you and the values you learn within that framework are the foundation to build on. A wonderful way for families to celebrate patriotism occurs on Christmas morning (free to the public) watch the reenactment of Washington Crossing the Delaware. It will make you feel a moment in history that changed the course of our country.

1:01:01 Navy was "It's not just a job, it's an adventure".
99 percent of recruits would only be ALLOWED to see ONCE in an Enlistment for LESS than 24HRS if they were Lucky enough that the boat they were sent to was in a deployment cycle and NOT stuck in a shipyard drydock, or a medium maintenance rotation for half or more of their enlistment. The commercials made it look like a Cruise Ship to Exotic Ports nothing bigger than a Destroyer can even navigate a channel to.

One of the things to love about the country is that you CAN criticize it, or more specifically the government.
I'm not sure today's service members, and civilian authorities, even understand the oath we all took. (Early 70s draftee, wouldn't change it now for anything). 🇺🇸
That being allegiance and service to and the oath to protect, the constitution. Not the government.

As a Canadian I have witnessed the loss of patriotism in my lifetime. Largely as a result of multiculturalism which encourages ethnic identity and discourages cultural assimilation. For decades I envied the American sense of patriotism where people of all ethnic groups would rally around the flag and were proudly “Americans”. Sadly I’ve watched this change in America through ever increasing progressive politics and ideology.
The only true thing Justin Trudeau ever said was, “there is no Canadian identity”. Coincidentally it was his father Pierre Trudeau who introduced multiculturalism and its inevitable destructive results into Canada. When the fabric of a nations society is gone you no longer have a nation, only a landscape of civil unrest waiting to erupt.

When it comes to patriotism, I still believe in the old adage, birds of a feather flock together. More people serving in the military or military support organizations while pushing for peace will help. A very powerful and never used military is a great investment. I only wish more people understood that simple truth. My push would be to make it harder for the Executive branch to deploy military assets without the same congressional approval that is needed for war. The military is not a tool for the Executive branch to play with. The military should only be used when the country is attacked. This takes into account the NATO rules where an attack on one is an attack on all.

Hey Mike! Off topic but I’d love your input. I’m a 61 yo man who has worked his ass off all my life. I’ve built houses, commercial buildings, fighter jets for Boeing (F18-G)and Lockheed (F35). Not to offend you as an entertainer but how is it that entertainers deserve a lifelong royalties on movies and music they’ve acted in or played/sung? People have lived, worked and shopped in buildings that I built years and years ago. People continue to fly the jets I’ve built and maintained over the years. My fighter jets have defended our country and our allies. I spend 21 honorable years in the military and get a stinking $1018.00/month and I still have to pay for crappy dental insurance that only covers 35% of my dental bills. Sounds like double standards to me! I’m not pointing to finger at you but you really speak up for the working man. I couldn’t think of a better man to ask.

All of the women had been to the board and promote-able with-in a month or two of being at permanent duty. NONE of the mem, who went through the SAME AIT, some who EXCELLED out EARLY, had been to board and were NOT promote-able, 3+ years later. In that MOS at that time, you had 9 years to get promoted, or YOU'RE FIRED. They were pity promoting 1x person a year. 4x+ or more of my MOS at any given unit, 40-ish units across the army. That's 151+ guaranteed firings every 9-ish years.

In the early 90s at the age of twelve to therteen, I had a patriotic mind set. I had gathered a moderate amount of patriotic things, such as a number of American Flags. At some point in that time. I noticed one of the flags had been made in China. After that, I looked at the rest of the American flags in my collection. Of the ten to twelve Flags I inspected, every one of them, said, made in China. I collected every one of them and threw them away. The end of my patriotic mindset.

I just learned of THE CLOWARD-PIVEN STRATEGY.
It's been going on since 1966.
      Overthrow from within.

I'm in Columbus, Ohio...a New American city. What patriotism? I had a conversation with a bank manager last year about how shocking it is to see other flags being flown and not the American flag for the 4th of July. Columbus has been divided into little countries. There is no America here despite what you might read about being blended. Many here are hoping to return to their homeland and feel nothing toward the United States or America's values. Some are here to make enough money to send back and then at some point they can go back home and others are here because of war situations, but all do not plan on staying in America forever.

The illegals you speak of care about one thing and it sure as hell isn't the country which is being pillaged by millions upon millions of people who don't have respect for anyone much less respect for the very country that is giving them everything by excluding American citizens who are entitled to them. And it's all been perpetrated by the Marxist democratic party to ensure that this once great country becomes a one party communist ruled country.

True. Many are only here part time yet reap benefits that most Americans could only dream of receiving. We are literally giving away our country piece by piece. Please keep talking about these things.

Trump nominated him for Secretary of Defense! He can fix it! How exciting! It didn't make sense to me at first. Now it makes PERFECT sense! Trump is serious about fixing this country.

Never tell a soldier he doesn't understand the cost of war.
