- After 4 months in Texas, we are back in our van full time and have “moved” to Southern Utah for two months! We’re excited to call this state our home base for a while and explore many of its natural wonders.

Hi y’all! We’re Adam, Kathryn, and Kona, an adventurous married couple (+ pup!) living on the road in our self-converted sprinter van! Safety is our #1 priority and we want to stress that this adventure, and all future adventures, will be done responsibly and with the health of others in mind. Here are the steps we are taking everyday, including in these videos:
😷Masks and face coverings. We wear these anytime we are near others outside and especially indoors. If we don’t have a mask on in a video, it’s 99% because there was no one around.
❌Limiting human interactions. We are isolated in our van the majority of the time and the only interactions we have with others is quickly grabbing takeout or going to the grocery store.
⏰ Exploring early. We have been starting most of our days before sunlight so we can beat the crowds.
🧼 Washing and sanitizing our hands.
6️⃣ Keeping our distance. We are trying to stay at least 6 ft from others, which truthfully isn’t always possible (and then we make sure we cover our face).
I live in Utah, it is an amazing state!
We visited those wonderful places 2 years ago and loved them. We just returned and camped at Valley of the Gods. We had the best place up on a hill with one of the buttes at our back. It is the most amazing place and we saw sunrise in the distance. It was truly a Major Bucket List event! Thanks again for turning us on to it!

if you like Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods you'll enjoy Capitol Reef. Has a good mix of a lot of Southern Utah landscapes. It doesn't get enough love.

Did the Mighty Five in 2015 for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was our favorite trip ever. LOVE Zion NP & Arches NP especially! Can't wait to see some Utah footage!

It is truly the perfect place to base ourselves for a while! Although, it has snowed once already (didn't stick) and possibly one more time lol! We definitely don't get tired of it, it honestly means the world! There have been days we want to quit TH-cam due to the unkindness of people on this platform, but the kind comments really do keep us going. We are so sorry to hear that this time has been extra challenging due to health issues. We cannot imagine the extra sense of stress and worry from that. But we are glad y'all were able to get out and safely explore! Your trip sounds fun and so do your summer plans! ❤️❤️
I was in Utah for a short visit a couple of years ago to go pray for this forest that is dying named Pando. I would really suggest you guys go see it. It is close to Capitol reef. Capitol reef which is gorgeous! If you have not seen it yet you need to go! Pando is like 100 acres and one living organism connected by roots. Been alive for thousands of years. I did not live in a Van when I visited it the 1st time. Next time I visit will be in my Van.

My husband (of 47 years) and I are recent retirees, new to RV ing, and plan trips 1st to South Dakota in April/May, and then taking Hiway 89 from Glacier all the way to Grand Canyon in the Fall. Outstanding camera work. The Moki Dugway is a fun, albeit a little scary, drive. When I did it I was just praying "don't meet any oncoming traffic so I can hug the center" the whole way down. I can't wait to see your video when you get to Bryce Canyon NP.

So happy y’all got to get out and go somewhere I’m sure it feels nice after being stuck in Texas for awhile! (Were Texans too) Utah was our road trip destination last July, this July my boyfriend and I will be heading to glacier National park .. READY to get back out there! Your videos are so helpful with planning and gives us a little adventure till we can get back out there, so thank you!
Also y’all should try to hike lower calf creek falls in escalante it’s beautiful! (I’d advice early morning or late evening to miss the crowds if y’all do)
Definitely a bit tough at times being stuck in one place when we built our life to be nomadic, but so thankful we had somewhere to go! Glacier is AMAZING and you'll have the best time out there!

Very nice views. I love seeing the large canyons in person. Looks like the temperatures aren't too bad now. It's about the same in southeastern Utah up at about 6k feet where I am for a couple months.

There is just sooo much to see and do here, it's crazy!
Wow! The landscape shots you were able to capture and the cinematography in this video was excellent. Your videos are always top notch but I super enjoyed this one. Maybe it’s because Utah is one of my happy places. It’s always calling to me but not any easy jaunt for me being on the East Coast.
Really excited to burn through this Utah series. Can’t wait to see your take on the popular spots and the lesser known places that I know you will seek out. The places you picked in this video were awesome. The Moki Dugway looked really fun with awesome vistas. The drop-offs on roads like that don’t normally phase me. I get more worried about getting stuck in sand or mud. The only road that gave me anxiety was on Maui, the northwest side of the island. We unknowingly drove the Kahekili Highway (had to look up the name) and that one made me white knuckle.
Our Utah series was a lot of fun and we hope you enjoy it! We have been on that road in Maui and it is terrifying. We actually saw a truck that was halfway off the road and two ways of traffic had to find a way to squeeze past it. So dang scary haha! But normally getting stuck in sand or mud is our biggest concern too!

It was 15 years ago that we took that road and I still remember it. Definitely left an impression.
Glad to see your videos up again. If you are still near Moab, check out Corona Arch (25 minutes outside Moab) and Castle Valley (8 miles from Mopab). The latter town was used to film the exterior shots in the West World TV show.
We have yet to make it to Moab (it’ll be towards the end of our time), so we will definitely check it out!

@@AdventuresofAplusK Well…keep those certificates up to date…I hear it’s a bouger bear getting them reinstated….thank you to SBEC 😎. Heat advisories all over the place today, but heading to Montana for a few last days before school starts. And soccer/golf is a hard combo to find. I should know as we have recently hired one of each having just started our soccer program. Two of my senior golfers just received college scholarships…so proud of those guys. Carl 🙂
