- Jeff's (Animal Crossing) Wild World #36: I buy a red turnip and give it to Wendell for a special reward, I participate in my first ACWW Bug-Off, I say goodbye to a villager who has lived in town for nearly two years, Big Top tells me that Tom Nook may not be what he appears to be, I earn a new villager photo, I meet a new cute squirrel, and Rolf keeps starting fights...angering Margie, Big Top, and me in the process.
This is Animal Crossing: Wild World for Nintendo DS, but played on the Wii U Virtual Console. This episode covers events from June 19-28, 2021. A lot happened in that short span of time!

The dialogue in this game is so good. Easily the best in the series by a longshot, and I'll gladly die on the hill.
I agree, I think the rudeness in the GC went too far sometimes, WW was the perfect mix of nice and mean
they'll be nice most of the time but if you make them mad they'll insult you or if they're the harder to befriend personalities which makes sense
@@xord6286 I've only played New Leaf and I have avoided original cuz I even though I have a we have and avoided those ones cuz I've heard that the villagers are mean and I don't like that I don't want to be cussed at
@@NatetheNintendofan Villagers in both _Wild World_ and _Population Growing!_ can be pretty harsh. The attitude was more constant on GC, but the insults were a bit sharper in _WW._ It's understandable why this sort of dialogue wouldn't appeal to certain people, especially if you work hard to make sure Villagers like you, yet they still treat you as if you're the equivalent of a Nazi or something. I still think _WW_ has the best dialogue, but that's mainly attributed to the episodes that explore the life of the Special Characters, and not the Villager writing, itself. There is some genuine funny and clever lines in this game, but I don't find being insulted by anthropomorphic animals to be funny; it's quite annoying to repeating have the same insults lashed on your character over and over again. It's why friendships in this series aren't really friendships because Villagers in the old games honestly weren't that friendly to you, regardless of how much effort you put into being their friend. Newer games have Villagers being your best friend right from the start, with no build-up to it.
i miss red turnips. they’re definitely one of the bazillion features i wish came back in NH
I know they added a lot of good features in NH but Nintendo left out the features that they did right in the old games

I remember the UFO being so elusive and mysterious as a kid. I remember getting it one day before primary school and being extremely, utterly excited. Man, this game takes me back.
Did anyone ever use Animal Crossing Community (the forum)? I loved that so much when I was younger.

WW was my first ever Animal Crossing game, it holds a lot of special memories for me, I remember playing local multiplayer with an old friend after school on many occasions, digging mazes and terrorizing villagers we didn't like. Those were the days... WW and NL are my top favourites of the whole series with the NGC game in third place.
I think I'm gonna get wild world on my wii u for my bday! Since it looks so fun
Update: my dad just got it for me today! I love it already :) the villagers are so funny and even tho the graphics are considered bad I think it's a adorable!

I never knew villagers could run up to you and give you your photo unlike in the newer games you have to give them a lot of great gifts to earn their reward of giving you their photo.
Friendship at max Villagers will ping you in Wild World abd they'd actually have unique dialog
Wild World is so nostalgic to me. One of my first games ever and my first Animal Crossing game. I love it whenever you upload videos related to Wild World Jeff. It brings back memories to some good times. 😊

Cranky and Snooty villagers in the old games were VERY mean and they would start fights with anyone, including you as the player.

Red turnips...wasn't their max selling price like 16,000 Bells? You can make that much in 30 minutes in the dead of winter lol. While I loved having something different to buy from Joan, they're not really worth the work...aside from the trade.

Yo I miss the quirk old stationary. The new cards are nice but SMB3 paper and the hamburger paper were both really cool...and how about polka dot paper, eh? eh? Hope a 2.0 update to New Horizons brings back some good old card types.

I'm so happy; I found a copy of Wild World in a second-hand store the other day, and I still have my 2DS, so I started it two days ago, and the nostalgia is amazing!! I've never been so happy at the startup of a game before 😂👌
And the weirdest thing....I had Whitney in my original WW, wayyyy back.....and Whitney just moved in today! XDD

I’ve been a fan of animal crossing g since I was 11 and have had animal crossing since I was 11! I have the GameCube one! (Population growing) and the ds one (wild world) and have been playin for years!

Jeff, how do you earn so much in the older games? Is it selling stuff or turnips?
I don't normally get turnips, so it's mostly selling fruit/fish/bugs, and getting the money rock each day. But it's a slow process in the older games.
I have wild world ds and animal crossing population growing for my GameCube! But I have a question! I stumbled upon ur video while tryin to look up why my buried turnips disappeared and why my red turnip was gone and not buried in the ground next to my house even tho I was watering it an takin care of it! Do u know why my buried white turnips aren’t buried anymore? And why my red turnip wasn’t there when I went to water it one day! Ugh I’m so sad! Just like Joan made clear! I pretty much lost a lot of bells considering that happend cause I could’ve made a good amount of bells if that didn’t happen! Help me!!! Please!!
White turnips go bad if you don't sell them by Saturday; is it possible you kept them longer than 6 days? As for the red turnip, it may wither if you missed a day of watering it. Also, time traveling may ruin your turnips as well.
@@jvgsjeff I deffinetly time traveled! Ha and it’s weird tho cause it didn’t look withered it’s like they all just disappeared into thin air! Plus I heard of u keep ‘em buried or in ur house on a table that u can keep them for an endless amount of time!

If Rolf called me an idiot I would, dig holes around him, hit him 50 times with my Net, and making sure that he will move out. Anyone calls someone an "Idiot" just because they asked a simple question is just rude. I mean I know Cranky villagers in the old games were mean, but man that just felt very personal the way Rolf called you and Big top "idiots" I would be very mad about that.
I’d push him into a pitfall, send him shitty items and clothing, send him letters filled with bad words, and so much more!
