- Jeff's Wild World #40: Tom Nook confirms that he is NOT related to Timmy and Tommy at all (he's NOT their uncle), a long-time villager leaves town unexpectedly (to get married?), two villagers move in (including one of my all-time favorites!), some pelican drama unfolds and I learn that someone SLAPPED Pete, Pascal gives me his photo, Olivia makes Goldie cry, I learn how much the Nooks love honey, and more!
This is Animal Crossing: Wild World for Nintendo DS, but played on the Wii U Virtual Console. This episode covers events from September 8th through September 27th, 2021.

Fun Fact: With the addition of the 2.0 update and Happy Home Paradise DLC, New Horizons has the most NPC related lore dialogue beating out Wild World
Really? I thought the past Animal crossing games had more lore than New Horizons
Unfortunately, you need to pay extra to see most of it (by purchasing DLC or amiibo).
Personnally I just want the villavers to have more personnality and not just be nice by default. I want them rude like the first game
A lot I've seen are amiibo related :( I've seen some from
visitors in the roost (I got Don once!) But not much from hhp. I think the most npc lore I've seen so far are from acww and accf
If you need to pay more for an already-expensive game, it don't count 😀
They may not be related by blood and he may refer to them as his "employees" or "pupils" but I think deep down Nook sees Timmy and Tommy as his adopted sons.
This makes me miss those little episodes in Wild World and City Folk. I'd love some more monthly lore and drama in my game from the NPCs.
You know, I find it odd that Gulliver would give you an international souvenir if you help him in Wild World instead of, oh idk, space items.
Sorry that Big Top left Forest all of a sudden. I'm glad that New Horizons made it so that villagers won't move out UNLESS you allowed them to.
I think a trophy in Super Smash Bros Brawl refers Timmy & Tommy as Tom Nook's nephews. Then again, its been ages since I played that game that I might not remember correctly. But seeing how Tom Nook kind of raised them himself, the Nooklings might as well be his adoptive sons!
You got Bob in place of Big Top?! I see this as an absolute win!
I'd take Bob in place of any villager, even stitches, after all Bob is king.
I agree about Gulliver. But at least one of his items is space-related (the Metroid). Yeah, I hated to see Big Top go, but getting Bob certainly made it easier to take.
Gulliver probably been all around the world from crashing his spaceship on every square inch of the Earth and you wouldn't expect an international souvenir?
I like to think that, every time he crashes his spaceship, he stays in the area for a bit and buys a neat souvenir. He knows he'll crash again and can give it to someone else then.
Fun fact, I have never seen a SINGLE UFO in this game despite having countless hours of gameplay in it.
I've only seen it a few times in my entire life and only shot it down once as a kid. There's a specific time it comes but I've forgotten the details.
On average, it seems to come about once every 3 weeks or so. Be sure to be outdoors when the last digit of the time hits 2 and 7 for the first time. So if you start up the game at 7:04, check at 7:07 and 7:12. Wait in the north part of town, with your slingshot ready. If there's another visitor in town that day, the UFO won't come.
Or to simplify it, just stand by the gate for the first 10 minutes after starting up the game and leave the volume up so you can hear if the UFO comes.

No problem! BTW, you can rule out Saturdays, Sundays, and whichever day you've designated as Redd's day to visit. So just check the remaining 4 days a week, and you should see it within 3 weeks or so. Good luck!
