Hey, here’s something that I thought about, when you are going heavy or light armor, you can take the key on the shelf behind Sellius before giving him your papers, and after dropping everything you got on the floor since it’s technically stolen, to get easy access to the Seyda Neen warehouse. There is actually some steel and Imperial steel armor pieces and steel armor pieces for heavy and some Nordic Leather pieces for light plus 2 skooma, 12 moon sugar (iirc), a lot of alchemical ingredients, 250 iron arrows and a couple more stuff. You just gotta keep an eye on the guard tho.
Or you can raid house redoran Vualts in Vicec. The key is in the manor on a desk. Open the door just enough to get the key from the dresser. Go to redoran vaults, wait for the ordinator to leave and grab the full set of Ebony armor and weapons.

Conjuration allows you to summon anything, with a myriad of abilities. You don't need destruction, or restoration, or anything other than conjuration. It's the biggest bang for buck school, a secondary in destruction or restoration is an obvious follow up.
For my breton-atronach, I am using a whole expensive clothes set/skirt with the extravagant shoes and just the imperial chain curaiss for armor-armor. Then I went for the silver stick and put bound spear on it which is a nice high dmg option that I only use when needed to conserve magicka. Im planning on using my current armor configuration until I start going for adamantium later on, for the style points of course lul
One of my favorite playthroughs was a breton battlemage. I wore exquisite clothes and carried an ebony staff that was all heavily enchanted for casting. When I needed to use more kinetic options I'd summon a full suit of dedric with a spear then go balls deep.
I have to agree with some kind of hybrid spellcaster as a favorite Morrowind class. Magic is just so much fun in this game that it's hard NOT to use it! And there are so many directions you can go as a hybrid spellcaster - Spellsword, Bard, Pilgrim/Cleric, Battlemage...
Paladin, Nightblade, Arcane Trickster, Mystic Fist. Though I'm curious how you play a Bard in Morrowind, I'm so used to the musical element that I've never been able to figure out how it works without it.
For these runs you might want to try the mod Phi's Carefree Leveling. It "stores" x5 level ups so you don't have to try to micro anything. Then as you earn skills in the relevant levels it uses up the stored values. So if you didn't raise strength, but chose strength, you bank 5x but don't raise strength. Then as you level a strength skill you get the points in the attribute immediately and use up the stores. Very great mod to take micro out of leveling.
Oh my this is some good playthrought, i never played with a Battlemage i was thinking about brutal Battle warrior, that is just a straight up Ork with no Magic but a lot of skils in any weapons and armor
anything in morrowind is viable lol (maybe not hand to hand). ive done a build thats is mostly just bound spear and boots of blinding speed. its too OP and i cleared a Deadric ruin at level 4. pls try spears they are underrated but cool.
Hand-to-hand is not only viable, but extremely effective. It may be slow at dealing damage but that doesn't matter when your enemy spends the whole fight knocked down.
The biggest problem with this build is carry weight. Armor and weapons alone takes up 80% capacity. Of course it's fixable later in the game. But early on it's tedious Especially that I'm always play as a hoarder and kleptomaniac in this kind of games

When I think battlemage i think a dude with a shield and a spell in the other hand, not possible in Morrowind :(

Anything involving magic of any kind is always an S-tier choice in Elder Scrolls 2-4. What a warrior can do great, a mage can do greater.

Yeah it’s a shame spears didn’t make it into the later games they are very effective
@@TwoEcksKay It's a bit difficult early game. Potions help quite a bit though. In openmw damage scales with strength too, so alcohol also helps

Yeah the peices are all so heavy. Perhaps use light and heavy and level both then ditch light when you can pull the weight?
