I'm a new subscriber and you have given me lots to think about with aids around the home and I'm enjoying your daily content.✨ Thanks for the realism of fibromyalgia and as a fibro suffer of several years, I am still finding it hard pill to swallow not being able to do want I need to do everyday and asking for help, but I'm getting there. Thanks 😊

Thankyou, really helpful. Prompted me to think about what I have and I've written a list of where everything is because I forget when the pain/fatigue hits. Made me realise how much stuff goes with chronic illness!!
One support I find super useful is I made a 'calm kit' in a large fold out washbag with a the useful bits. Everything from pain meds, TENS, finger supports, migrane patches, lip balm, ginger chews, face wipe, fidget toy, headband, juice carton, snack bar, mints, eye mask etc. Even little hair brush because it feels nice when have headache. This stays next to my bed and makes it easy for me to ask someone to get what I need instead of sending them rummaging in drawers!
I also like usb chargable mini fans. I got a really good one from John Lewis that also folds to stand up so don't have to hold it.
With recent hot weather I've got plenty of cool paks and cooling eye mask, and a brilliant cooling head wrap that covers face if pull it down. And some 'ice socks' and a cooling towel. But come autumn its all about the heat pads!
I find I'm constantly reaching for cushions or yoga bolsters for support so they are scattered everywhere. I also use coccyx cushions and those wiggle cushions.
Can highly recommend a kitchen stool, really helps. I have one on wheels so don't have to lift it.

Thank you for the tips! I have a bad pain in my fingers too, sometimes I drop things, never thought about plastic caps, good idea
The good tip is, that helps me is the massage pillow, helps me with back pain

My son bought me a load of different sizes of gel packs that you can either freeze or microwave. They are very inexpensive on Amazon, and I've found them a life saver. My pain is at it's worst in hot weather, and they help me so much, especially on my hands. I didn't even think about toe supports, so thanks for that tip. My big toes have gone crooked with arthritis, so I'll be buying them immediately!

That sounds like a good aid to you. I am the opposite, find it worse in the colder weather. There are a lot of toe supports so have a look through them on Amazon to get the right ome for you.

I enjoyed seeing your aids. I have a leg cushion like yours but it's in a heart shape, I use it every night, it's very important to me. I also have a heating pad but would like a larger one and I would like an electric blanket. I have never seen a tens machine but will look it up. I've been having lots of pain that moves around and am realizing that I'm not getting better so I may as well buckle down and find my own aids! I do have a recliner, chair, with heat and massage that I love and use every day

I would love a heated blanket. Sometimes Aldi have them for sale in the Winter. Finding the right aids for you is important. 😊

Oh yes, I used to have a body pillow, and I so miss that. I'm gonna put that on my list of things to get. Oh, that reminds me in my new apartment. My toilet is super low.I mean it is very very short. And due to a medical condition I am restricted on what I can do with my right arm which is where the bar would be to help with the lower toilet. Though I'm currently trying to figure out a possible solution because the apartment building will not replace the toilet.😊

Yes body pillows are the best! So comfy. That sounds a bit tricky. 🤔

Here in Australia, so I’m sure you can get them everywhere, is a Toilet Frame, and also a Toilet Booster Seat. They might also be called Toilet Safety Rails, Over Toilet Grab Rails, or just Toilet AIDS, some can be quite expensive but cheaper than a new toilet. Hope it’s helpful ❤ @disabledandprepping

One thing that I didn't see was I call it a grabby you know it's just one of those things that helps you grab things from higher places I have one in each room because the fibromyalgia is mostly from my hips on down that's where I get my most pain so it's really hard for me to bend down and my grabby is a lifesaver

I use one for my laundry to get things out of washing machine and dryer . Its folding type so can store easily. Also use laundry basket that can be carried with one hand so I can support myself with other @@LordandLordettes

I don't seem to get notifications when you upload videos for some reason, I've got the bell clicked & 'all', but I only noticed on my timeline, rather than a notification. Not sure what that is all about
